"Not recommended"

"Unprofessional Staff"
The hotel is nice and is unexpected for the price. Has a nice view of the Petrona Towers from the rooms. The rooms are spacious. It is located a little far from the city's attractions and the staff is not friendly or helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Lazy lift hotel"
Lifts were a problem, 6 lifts but they don't operate very well. Have to wait ages for one to appear then stop at many many floors to pick up guests who couldn't fit in anyway! To use the internet, you have to leave your room, get in the lazy lift to the business centre on the ground floor to buy wifi pass which lasts for 24 hours. This cannot be done […] from your room. "The Hotel, GS in Kuala Lumpur"
Would certainly stay @ GS again even though I was travelling alone. As you get out of taxi/shuttle bus porter is there taking your luggage,with a smile &happy attitude, & giving you a receipt for same & then directing you to Check-In Area. As I booked a Seasons Crest room I was whisked into Lounge Area where my hostess booked me in & gave me vouchers […] for breakfast etc. Just what you need, pampering, after a long 12 hour flight from Amsterdam. All staff greeted me with a smile & happy attitude treating you as though you are the only guest @ the hotel even though they were fully booked as only a few days before New Years Eve. I was booking out on 30th Dec & was given a late check out until 1400hrs & then allowed to stay in the Lounge Area using the Hotel's free WiFi until my driver came for me @ 1530hrs which was muchly appreciated. The only disappointment I had whilst staying @ GS Hotel was on the night I arrived the Asian Family that was next door to me came home @ 2230hrs & proceeded to be very very loud & decided to have a party with loud music & allowing the children to run around the corridors knocking on other Guests doors & desturbing them. This noise continued for about an hour despite several guests asking the Family to settle down so Security was called. Within 5 minutes of Security being called the Family settled for the night but by this time it was after Midnight. I realise that people like to celebrate over the Festive Season but when staying in a Hotel all Guests should be considerate of each other. The Security Staff were very efficient & polite in dealing with this problem & came to my room to check & see if I had felt threatened or anything which I hadn't it was just frustrating when I was trying to sleep @ that time of night. A little bit of advice do not get the Hotel Shuttle Service from airport to the Hotel as costs too much. "Good, bad and ugly"
THE GOOD: Located very close to Chowkit monorail station. Received a very early check-in - 9.30 am when actual time of check-in was 2 pm. The view from our room ( of the Petronas twin towers) was fabulous. The breakfast was decent. THE BAD: Maintence of facilities could be improved - we had continued trouble with the door lock and the towel rack was […] loose. The elevator service was extremely slow and we had a long wait every single time we needed to use it - till we located the service lifts. THE UGLY: We were travelling with our two children, and had requested for two adjoining rooms with connecting doors. Although rooms had this facility; at the time of check-in, we were told that we would be accommodated the following day. The next day, I approached the front desk for a change in room and was told to speak to the Manager. The Manager told me to be thankful that we had been given two rooms on the same floor, as they were not obliged to do so. Must have got out of the wrong side of bed that morning. "Besviken"
Efter att ha läst tidigare recensioner bokade vi detta hotell. Besviken blev vi. Vi bokade ett delux rum, det var beläget på 24e våningen, och nej Delux var väl fel ord. Standardrum med två enkelsängar (vi önskade dubbelsäng men det kunde inte ordnas), badrum i marmor som var i behov av renovering. Luftkonditioneringen kan man själv inte reglera temperatur […] då detta sker centralt och det är kallt, det man kan styra över är "low", "high" och on/off. Vilket resulterade i off för våran del. Väldigt lyhört från korridoren. Hade vid ett tillfälle behov av hjälp på rummet, vi sa till i receptionen och de skulle skicka upp personal. Efter nästan 1 timme ringer vi receptionen och efterfrågar personal och får då vänta ytterligare 15min. Bad sedan om extra filtar vilket skulle ordnas inom 5min, detta blev 20min. Ska man in till city får man åka monorail, billigt och enkelt. Taxi är dyrare (men inte dyrt i svenska mått) och inte så tidseffektivt med tanke på trafiken. Att ta en promenad in till city (som vi tänkte skulle kunna vara möjligt) var inte så mycket att tänka på, K.L är inte staden man går omkring i för att ta sig mellan olika delar. Hotellet har en grei restaurant. Fin lobby. Svømmebassenget og området rundt er ikke mer en hva det må vær. Rommene er store, og i forhold til pris greie nok. "Sehr sauberes Hotel mit guter Stadtanbindung"
Das Hotel war mit über 700 Zimmern und über 30 Stockwerken sehr gross. Die Zimmer waren gross und geräumig, sauber und gut ausgestattet. Das reichhaltige Buffet zum Frühstück war sehr gut mit frischem Obst, Toast, Muffins, Müsli und einer grossen Auswahl an warmen Gerichten. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und das Personal durch die Bank freundlich […] und immer sehr bemüht. Mit nur 5 Minuten zur nächsten Bahnhaltestelle waren die Sehenswürdigkeiten von Kuala Lumpur schnell und einfach zu erreichen. Die Zimmer wurden jeden Tag gereinig und auf Wunsch gab es frische Handtücher. Ich würde dieses Hotel in jedem Falle weiterempfehlen und hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt dort!
