Located in Kuala Lumpur's Golden Triangle shopping-and-business hub, this hotel is next to a monorail station and about 1 km from Kuala Lumpur City Center (KLCC), home to the 88-story Petronas Towers and a fashionable shopping center. "Best price/quality ratio"
Excellent location. Close to everything. It has a railway station next to the hotel which takes you everywhere in the city. However, you can walk everywhere. "everything we expected and more"
Our stay at the Sheraton was fantastic. The staff was very friendly, helpful and polite. Our room was spacious, the beds very comfortable, everything was very clean and it even smelled great. The room had everything you could possibly need from an iron with a board, to a water kettle with a selection of teas, robes, slippers, a big TV built into the […] wall, a safe, a shower and a seperate tub ... The hotel also provided bottled water in the rooms which was refilled every day and towels for the pool which was convenient. The breakfast buffet was simply amazing and left nothing to be desired. One night we ate at one of the restaurants and the service and food were excellent. It is a bit of a walk to the city center and the Petronas Towers (the complimentary shuttle only runs during the week) but the monorail station is maybe 200m from the hotel and cabs are very easy to get too. All in all we had a great weekend in Kuala Lumpur and I don't have anything negative to say about the Sheraton. For a 5 star it was really cheap too and I would definitely stay there again. Our stay was ok , but there are a few things which need mention. The room in which we stayed looked to be an old room , slightly musty smelling. The thick curtains did not draw across the window, thus letting in the morning sunlight and the washbasin did not drain out properly. "Sheraton Kuala Lumpar - nice and comfortable"
The hotel is a bit further from the central shopping areas like KLCC and Bukit Bintang than I thought. But there is a monorail that takes you to the center pretty much 3 minutes away from the hotel. "Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur - Not Worth It"
Well first I will say that the hotel had some redeeming qualities. Our view of the Petronas Towers was amazing. The hotel was very clean and aesthetically pleasing inside, the sauna/spa was nice, and the hotel is located conveniently next to a Monorail stop. They also provided free snacks and/or refreshments in the lobby during certain times of the […] day. However, my overall attitude towards this hotel was that even at a steep discount on hotels.com, it was not worth what we paid. The biggest disappointment was that internet in the hotel room was quite pricey, and the free internet stations in the lobby were absolutely terrible. The internet connection was always incredibly slow or just didn't work at all. When we talked to the staff about this, they were neither helpful nor polite, and simply told us that it was due to "high traffic". Frankly I was much happier staying in a cheap hostel during another portion of our trip, where we had fast and reliable wireless internet and free tea, coffee, and toast 24 hours a day.
