This used to be the Hilton Hotel, and I've used its Club Bar for business lunches in years past, as well as the Planters Inn buffet. Crowne Plaza has kept up standards quite well. It is right in the middle of the business and restaurant district I use - Jalan Sultan Ismail - and it has an elevated train station immediately outside

Overall the hotel was very nice. It seems a bit old and worn, but the excellent staff make up for anything that the hotel might be lacking. The pool area is great, very nice location, and several food options in the hotel itself. Wonderful bathrooms too!

Internet access was 57 MYR (approximately $18.95) per day... I thought that this was pretty unreasonable but since I had planned to use the internet to book follow-on travel and for researching activities, I paid for it. When I checked out, I realized that I'd been charged twice for one day. I pointed out this error to the desk clerk. After checking […] on the charge, she refused to remove it because I had used two different devices to connect to the internet. In fact it was true - I had used my laptop and my friend had used his. But there is only one internet cable in the room and we paid for 24 hour access. Ultimately I was stuck with an almost $40 bill for internet access for one day! That is ridiculous and will be the last of my money that Crowne Plaza receives. I have stayed with them in the past for the MotoGP event but I will not use them in the future due to this issue. This was my first visit to Kualar Lumpur, and such a pleasant experience. The monorail, was a bonus, the traffic as in most cities is busy to say the least, so to have the monorail situated right opposite the hotel was amazing. Staying was comfortable, but location not convenient for indian vegetarians as no good indian Veg restaurants nearby. In Malaysia even the international chain of Food outlets like the Pizza Hut and Mcdonalds do not serve vegetarian pizzas or veg burgers.The pure veg restaurants were at quite a distance.

We were a bit dissappointed with this hotel; it declares itself as a 5 star hotel however when compared to others in Singapore and Malaysia it fell short in a few areas. When we first arrived the door staff failed to assist us from our taxi and we had to wheel our own cases in. We also had lots of small ants in our room, in the bed and around the tea […] making facilities. When we asked for a room change we were initially told that they only had a downgraded twin room available; however, this was sorted by the duty manager who miraculously found us an identical room 5 minutes later! The 'upmarket' restaurant iSHQ was very dissappointing; staff were initially not available to make a table reservation when we looked in. There was no wine list and there were only two bottles of red wine available (one at around £100). Staff were also very poor in providing service; the wine was presented to my wife and poured for her to taste, even though I had ordered it. The food was however, excellent! When we took our wine and went to an upstairs bar we were also ignored by the staff member there (not welcoming us or lighting our table candle as she had for other guests) seemingly because we already had drinks. This hotel seemed the perfect place to stopover for one night before travelling onwards, however it transpired to only be frequented by business people and the hotel seemed to cater primarily for them. This hotel is a little older but in good condition. the room was great with an excellent bathroom. However we would not recommend this hotel and would not stay again as we found the service to be well below the standard of other hotels we have stayed in in KL. We found the common areas of the hotel e.g. the lobby bars etc to have no atmosphere and the […] staff to be less than helpful. The porters and concierge were very good but other staff members were not so good. We didn't have a turn down, our room was not ready when we arrived and to comensate they gave us one free coffee (not two even though we were a couple). When we went to get our free drink the waitress was very rude. In the end we ate and drank at other hotels where the service was much friendlier. We were in KL for four nights but moved to another hotel after one day as the friendly service is part of the Malaysian experience for us. Read more

Stayed here for 4 nights. Hotel is in a great location. Monorail is right outside the front of the hotel. Access to Pavilion and Petrona's through back entrance. Very nice hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. This was despite the hotel advertising that this was suitable for 2 A and 2 C. Eventually after conversations getting quite heated over the room they agreed to upgrade us free of charge. The quality of service is very poor. Waited for 5 hours before i could get my room when I had even requested for early check-in. They had to change my room twice due to room default and the wait for each room was an hr! Other than this, it is fairly ok to stay in the hotel.

Location will be better when the walkways are completed and the hotel connected to KLCC, convention centre and Pavillion. Currently crossing the road with roadworks is a skill! Rooms were clean and upgrade to Club Room was well worth it. Extra space in the room, nice lounge with excellent service and the complimentary laundry was appreciated.

The hotel is very central and next to the monorail station. On the other side there is an exit where you can walk (if you like) to the Petronas Towers. The hotel staff is very professional and friendly. Even for a picky 5-star resident it is great. So all good, next time again. Great hotel, great people, great location.

We picked the hotel from a list of hotels for an overnight stay between two long haul flights. The hotel is located very close to the Petronas towers and afforded excellent views of this amazing building lit up rather beautifully at night. We had requested a king size bed and were given a room on the 20th floor. The bed was large enough for two adults […] and a child, plus there was a small sofa that served for a second child. The bathroom was a bit unusual in that it was connected to the living area via a large opening above the bathtub that could be shut off via wooden shutters. This does not provide a lot of privacy for someone wishing to use the facilities while other folk are in the living area (out of sight, but not out of earshot etc - work it out yourselves). We enquired about breakfast, and the concierge helpfully gave us some discount coupons, but prices mentioned all ended in "plus plus", as did the price quoted for an upgrade. These seemed less good value than the rate for the room, and I thus did not bother to enquire what plus plus actually meant - presumably service charge and tax. We had breakfast in the airport. The airport is nearly an hour's drive away and the money we saved by using the excellent deal on this hotel was spent on the taxi. I would rather pay more for the hotel right next to the airport and save the taxi ride next time, unless I had business in town. Read more

部屋もきれいでコストパフォーマンスは良い。モノレールのラジャチュラン駅が目の前なので移動が楽である。ブキッビンタンへも歩いて行ける距離である。 モノレール沿いにブキッビンタン方面へ歩いていくとセブンイレブンがあり、ちょっとした買い物にも便利。ここではビールも買える。 後日、KLセントラル駅に隣接したホテルに宿泊したが、KLセントラル駅内のセブンイレブンやその他コンビニはアルコール類は置いてないのでここのセブンイレブンの有難みを感じた。 ホテルの裏口から出て徒歩で５分もあればペトロナスツインタワーに隣接した公園に出れる。 クアラルンプールコンベンションセンターの脇道から歩いて行くと近いので、夜景散策にも便利である。 少し気になったのは、バスルームにシャワーが2つあり、一つは天井に固定されている […] ので手持ちで使うシャワーの水がきちんと出てくるまでに天井のシャワーから水がポタポタ落ちてくるので少し冷たい思いをしなくてはならない（笑） たまたま泊まった部屋の水道まわりの設定が良くなかっただけかもしれないが、個人的にはお薦めできるホテルだと思う。 Read more
