"La Purificadora: Masterpiece in form...comfort?"
This hotel is an icon in the design world at global level! Waow! This is amazing, from the waterfall built into the stairs to the gasfired sit around fire places in the loby. Truely amazing. The 26 rooms are beautiful, minimalistic, clean and up to date. Some of the "comfort aspects" of a hotel were left behind and forgotten while designing this wonderful […] space. We arrived in December and found ourselves looking for a comfortable spot to sit and talk. It was impossible. The outside temperatures were in the 50ties. The hotel is wide open without any protection from the outside cold. The staff walks around in overcoats and a few patio burners are supposed to keep the restaurant guests comfortable. Their was an event across the street at the Convention center and it was impossible to sleep. It felt like the band was playing in my room. Although the band stopped at 1am, the hotel was still noisy due to all the brick, concrete and open spaces. There was no business center at the hotel but the staff was kind enough to help us print our boarding passes. Lucky for us we did not stay over the weekend as the roof top bar gets pretty crowded.
