This is considered one of the best hotels in the area. It is outside of the downtown Puerto Vallarta area located in Mismaloya. This is a all inclusive... hotel so all your meals and most hotel facilities are included in the price, including tips and taxes. The meals are buffet style and include three other restaurants depending on the number of nights you stay. Most of the staff speak some English and some speak it well. There are two concierge which are there for your assistance until 6PM. There are nightly dance shows and each one has a different theme. The setting of the hotel is the Sierra Madre mountains and jungle in front of the hotel and the Pacific ocean in back of the hotel. You are located not to far from where they filmed two hollywood movies in the past. Cons: The beach is not wide or long. You have to take the local bus unless you want to pay the high cost of taxi's to get around or rent a car. We had a bathroom door handle and a balcony door latch handle that were broken upon our check-in and were never repaired even after two requests to do so. The night before we were to check out, the front electronic door lock would not work. So our last evening at the hotel was preoccupied trying to get into our room. We had to have someone break the balcony door latch in order for us to be able to enter our room. So maintenance repairs might be a problem here. by a Hotels.com guest on 07/13/10
