Large resorts dominate the Hotel Zone, arguably the center of Puerto Vallarta tourism. This area includes the Maritime Terminal, where cruise ships dock. Across the street, visitors can see authentic bullfights at La Paloma Bullring. Like its southern half, the North Hotel Zone’s main attraction is the crescent-shaped bay. Water sports are in abundance, as are restaurants, bars, and shops.

The entire facillity is in need of renovation. What repairs have been made are slip shod. It was a very fun and friendly place. The beach however, is not very swimmer friendly. The sand seems to be more pebbles than sand including adjacent resorts and more so to the south. Also is huge decline to water where the surf just knocks you down. There appeared […] to be mold in the bathroom at ceiling in our room. The buffets had few very few options to choose from and not very warm. We had 1 free specialty resteraunt and it was excellent. 1 of the best rib eyes I ever had. The shows are very dated and leg between skits. Also costumes [hoisery torn] in disrepair.
