"Nice All Inclusive Hotel"
Nice place and great all inclusive plan. The staff is friendly and the Explorer's Clud for the Kids is great. Our only dislike is the pool area is very quiet and sterile. This might be OK for some but we were hoping for a more fun enviornment.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great vacation!"
Fantastic experience - the food at all the restaurants was great! The entertainment team was awesome and not too pushy! Fantastic drinks and very kind staff. A little too pushy with the time share sales pitch from EVERY staff member. Hot water didn't last for long in several rooms.Genuine Expedia guest review
"3rd Visit to DREAMS Los Cabos"
This was our third visit to Dreams Los Cabos. Since our last visit in 2010, they changed the Himitsu menu to mostly sushi which was a disappointment to us. Plus the desserts offered were not up to the standards you would expect from a Dreams Resort - one evening they were even unable to offer what they had listed on the menu so your choices were very […] restricted. Due to restaurants being booked by private parties for dinner, one night we only had two choices of where we could go...not acceptable since we paid for the Resort's full services too. We love this Resort and hope to return but are hoping for some improvements such as putting an alternative to sushi in the Himitsu menu, adding a pastry chef who would work on more dessert selections, and remembering you need to accomodate ALL the guests when deleting services. "Overall viewpoint of resort."
A very pleasant experience. Rooms are comfortable. Air conditioning was very good and quiet. A relaxing atmosphere. Not for party types. More couple and family oriented. Equal distant to Los Cabos and San Jose del Cabo. Middle of corridor stretch. I spent a week there and had no disappointments.Genuine Expedia guest review
"No what I expected !!!"
The food schedule was really bad, you had to walk all the way to the other end of the resort to find snack to eat. The restaurant food was good but the Breakfast was so horrible. one day of our stay was raining and it seemed like the staff have never dealt with this situation. Nobody know when and where they are transferring the outdoor restaurants. […] Location was not the best . Rooms were nice roomy and clean. Entertainment was very minimal. "Tranquil retreat or party city - this has both."
We arrived two days after a tropical storm had hit Cabo. There was constant repair going on as workers patched leaky walkways and ceilings, but the work was unobtrusive. The room was a cool haven from the lingering ultra-humid weather. The service for the rooms was superb, providing the standard neatening visit in the morning and a turn-down service […] at night, plus being available for the slightest request at any other time. We were there for a family wedding, so there were about three dozen of us there and we are aware of one person having their heirloom necklace stolen while she was out of her room. We used the in-room safe for our valuables and went home without a loss. Being an all-inclusive resort, we were able to have meals and snacks whenever we were hungry and, while the food was not outstanding, it was adequate. The resort has several restaurants offering several cuisines from Italian to Japanese. In those restaurants, you may order from a menu, but most venues offered a generous buffet. There was a surprisingly small offering of the fresh seafood you might expect from the area and very little indigenous cuisine - if you want mostly American food, this is the place for you! Several members of our group came down with Montezuma's revenge, but we escaped the experience. In spite of the resort having their own water filtration system that they insist produces "safe" water, we stuck with bottled water and avoided ice, so I think that is probably why. "Great Pool! Great workers!"
Make sure that you are not going to Dreams Cabo to splash around and swim on the beach. The waves are big and constant and it is not recommended that people swim. Other than that the hotel is super clean the food is great and the staff is amazing.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great Hotel for vacation for families."
we had our family vacation this summer at Dreams and we enjoyed it so very much. Everyone was nice and courteous, the food was great and I highly recommend this hotel for both couples and families. We will certainly go again next year. My kids didn't want to leave. The worse part about it was that we didn't stay long enough!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Not comparable to a Palace Resort"
This was our second visit to Dreams Los Cabos and definitely our last. As members of Palace Resorts, we are accustomed to better service and friendlier staff. It was rare to be greeted by staff at Dreams. And on three occasions we were given poor service at the Seaside Grill restaurant and ignored twice at the tranquility bar. A simple smile would […] go a long way but it was often too much to ask for at Dreams. There were some staff members who were friendly, but that was an exception. If your only requirement on vacation is to be treated by a pleasant resort staff, this is not the place. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"fun, relaxing and pleasant family experience."
We spent 3 nights at the resort, and it was fun. It was really hot this time of the year, but the pool was great! Family and I spent a lot of time in the pool with drinks and food getting served . good service overall. Staff was fun and friendly. Didnt really use the resort credits given by Expedia because of the restrictions hotel people put in it. […] But all inclusive was good. The room service food was really good although it takes 35-50 min for food to be delivered. The activities desk was helpful in arranging the zip lining tour not far from hotel. "Great place for a family vacation !!"
We visited Los Cabos along with two other families. We have five young kids among us. Our foremost criteria for selecting the resort was to have access to a good kids club. Dreams provided just that. We could relax, unwind and had a great time in Dreams' infinity pool because we could leave our kids in Dreams' Kids Explorer club for the good part of […] our days there. We also got upgraded to honeymoon suites which were simply fantastic. Not only were the rooms very spacious and comfy but the room service and maid service was also excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only area where I found Dreams lacking was the service at their restaurants. I guess it is difficult for an all-inclusive resort to provide great service at their restaurants. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Everyone did the impossible to make us feel at home. The food was delicious. The room was very clean and it was visited in the morning and about 7pm to see if all was fine. The pool, the drinks, the guess were very respectful and everyone was there to have fun. It has 2 pools, one for family and the other for adults, so pick one, both are wonderful. "Disappointing Cabo experience"
This hotel is very average. The alcohol was watered down and the food was below average. Hotel is located on the beach but definitely not on the best part of Cabo. The club is a glorified recreation room and depressing to hang out in at night time.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Vacationing here is like a dream."
I've been to Dreams six times, which should tell you how I feel about the place. I can't wait to go back. I've been fortunate to enjoy some great vacations in my life, and chillin' out at Dreams is as good as it gets. If you want a vacation where you simply relax in the sun on the beach, or eat wonderfully prepared food and relish exotic mixed drinks, […] all coupled with superb service, then this is your place to go. If you're into sight-seeing or jetting around Europe on a Eurail Pass or adventuring across the country like the Griswolds, then Dreams may be too laid back for you. Eventually you'll reach that age and point in your career where kickin' back under a palapa on a beautiful beach is da bomb. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A perfect vacation resort"
It is an absolutely gorgeous property. We were very impressed with the aesthetics and cleanliness of the public areas, the grounds, pools and rooms. I had read some reviews that said we would be pestered by timeshare hounds. Not so - in fact, not one word was uttered about this. Staff were very friendly and attentive. The food also was good, and in […] some cases, very good. I'd also read in some reviews that the drinks were watered down. This is partly true, at least with some of the mixed drinks. So you just figure out what's best to order and what can't be watered down. In the scope of things, this was but a small annoyance. Everything else more than makes up for it. If Dreams wanted to cater to more families with young teens, they might consider having a teen club. You see couples and families with younger kids, but not a lot ages 13-17. We would definitely recommend this property to others and vow to come back! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not too many activities or nightly entertainment."
This is a nice place if you're staying for a few nights. There are not many activities if you do not plan to leave the resort. Even outside the resort, there's not much to see in Cabo compare to Cancun or Riviera Maya. The staff was very friendly and always asking if you need something. Food ranges from better than average to pretty good. We enjoyed […] the Sea Side Grill for steaks and Oceana for seafood lunch. The kid's club is nice and they'll take your kids to lunch and dinner for you if you want to enjoy a quiet time with your spouse. No swimming at this beach, unless you detest your life. We didn't walk to the nearby Hilton as many reviews suggested because there is no shade on the beach. If you're not a guest of the Hilton, you cannot use their facility and we do not want to be baked. If you plan to make phone calls, plan ahead. The hotel will charge $5USD/min for a call to the US. Internet is $15/day unless you stay in the more expensive 6th floor rooms. Hotel will want you to take taxi or shuttle everywhere, but the public bus is very easy to take. The bus will stop right outside the resort on both side of the street, just ask the Concierge for details. I tried to pay for everything is Peso because it's cheaper that way. Not sure if we will return to Cabo. Not much to do here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Too much HOT WATER"
I have stayed at this Dreams hotel before. I found it then a wonderful experience. This trip was also wonderful with the exception of one thing. For more than half our visit we had hot water in the toilet and hot water in both faucets on the sink. I informed the front desk by telephone. The next day, I caught a room service waiter that spoke very good […] english and asked him to inform maintenance. His supervisor called me back and told me that although it was not something Room Service dealt with she would contact maintenance. The next day, when we returned from a tour, a very nice man at the front desk asked if the problem was fixed. It had improved in that the water in the toilet was only warm, not hot as it had been before. Then everything got hot again. We were leaving the next day. I took a shower that night and it was fine. But the next morning my sister could not take a shower because there was only hot water which was to hot to shower in. It was a disappointing situation in a hotel I like so much. Positives: -Our room was ready at the 3pm check in time. -Staff was very friendly and accomodating -Room service was part of the all-inclusive -Beach had private bungalos with hammocks that were available -Hotel had staff from different companies on site for activities -Great pool, complete with floaties and swim up bar with delicious drinks. -Activities […] schedule for the next day was put under our door every night Negatives: -Room was a bit loud due to carts rolling through halls as late as 11pm and early as 7am, got woken up a few times each night due to this -Food was ok, not bad, but not great. "Great time at Dreams!"
My friend and I recently vacationed here for a week. We're both in our 20's and it was my first time there. The resort was extremely clean, had excellent staff, and we really enjoyed the food...especially the asian place, yum! I was worried about the food after reading a few reviews on here and TripAdvisor but we were SO pleasantly surprised. Fun atmosphere […] with lots of activities (which I must admit we didn't join in too many of). We both got massages which were really amazing. The crowd seemed to depend on the time of the week and if there were any weddings going on. Not sure I would come here for a crazy spring break but it was exactly what we needed for a relaxing but fun vacation. Best part of this resort was how accommodating the staff was. We pretty much felt that we could ask for anything and they would do their best to get it done ASAP. Thumbs up...would definitely come here again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

This was our first time in Cabo, and it was amazing! The resort is beautiful! Most of the staff were very helpful and attentive. The food presentation was great. Try Portifino's while you're here. It was the best restaurant at the resort. The guacamole, ceviche, and fish tacos are excellent! Beware of the wait time at the restaurants, so go early for […] supper. Our room was very clean. "Disappointed in Dreams"
We have been at Dreams 5 times and our most recent stay was our last. The resort used to be a quiet, relaxing place. In the last two years, however, it's become a haven for drunk, 30-year old former frat boys/girls who take over the "Tranquility Pool" with their incessant drinking and loud and inconsiderate behavior to other guests. Complaints to resort […] management go unheeded. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation experience, look elsewhere. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Bring your own food"
The hotel was quite nice, the lobby is beautiful, the restaurants are pretty, the swimming areas are great, and the scenery is lovely. Hotel staff, housekeepers, and servers were pleasant. Servers were not very attentive. This hotel is quite far from stores/markets and the hotel prices for food/drink is expensive, so you need to have the "all-inclusive." […] The problem is the food. Breakfast is okay to good, but the lunches and dinner items are generally not impressive and often downright bad. The steaks we had were so bad that we couldn't eat more than one bite. The fried fish was soggy. The salads with mayonnaise were lukewarm. And, the cake was swimming in water -- perhaps set on wet dishes?--!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Dreams Los Cabos"
The hotel is very family orienated, however the variety and taste of the food was very poor. If you are only planning to stay at the hotel for three nights it's ok but any longer than that you start getting sick of the same food everyday. The drinks weren't that good either. If we return to cabo we would never stay at this hotel again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Amazing location for fun, especially for families!"
My wife, our 6 year old and I went to Dreams recently for my son's birthday. We had been one time previously for a friends wedding and had enjoyed ourselves so much, that when we decided on Cabo for our trip, we knew what to expect. What we did not expect was that on the day we left, the staff we had come to know through that week would say goodbye […] to us as friends, and we back to them. We cannot say enough about the entertainment staff, they make sure that everyone is greeted with enthusiasm, and they will inspire you to participate in poolside events, not push. Jordan and Miguel were amazing and Jordan's daily pool volleyball games became a must attend event. As a family, we felt safe, relaxed and had a wonderful time. Our only issue was with the manager who treated my wife with contempt and disrespect when she attempted to resolve an issue over both internet access and a lack of functioning ATM's on the property. We wanted to withdraw cash to tip the service staff who were very nice, and they only solution the manager could offer was to obtain cash from the desk for a 10% service fee. Mario from the concierge staff was amazing, and simply from his apology, not to mention our son's birthday being included on the daily newsletter to the hotel (15-20 people wished him happy birthday, more than our last time at Disneyland), he delivered a personalized birthday cake on my sons birthday. Thank you to everyone, we will be back! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"BEST Resort we have ever stayed at"
We stay in Mexico somewhere every year. This was the first time in Cabo. We always stay 4 star hotels and above. This was the best place we have ever stayed with our family. The food and staff were excellent. We loved the pool and hot tub (it gets cool in Cabo at night.) The kids activities and club were FAR better than we have ever experienced. They […] have cameras, pagers and REALLY good bilingual staff. The kids made oil paintings, bungee jumped, played with a pinata and watched the nightly movie and entertainment with us but did spend a little time with the club doing crafts and roasting marshmallows. It was very family friendly. They do have a separate adults only area that looked very nice as well. We will return with or without our kids. We would have liked to have swam in the ocean, but with all of the other activities NO ONE in our family missed that and we knew the ocean in that area was cool and rough before going there. "A "dreamy" vacation destination"
We stayed on the preferred club floor of this all-inclusive resort and it was well worth the upgrade. The club lounge breakfast and "happy hour" noshes were much appreciated as was the extra attention to personal service -- though we're quite certain all of the staff throughout the property was just as accomodating. Be aware that there are many families […] and extended family groups here, as well as business conventions, weddings and nightly "theme nights". If you want quieter times ask to be near the adults only pool. As with all resorts of this type, you can always get a drink and something to eat, but not all restaurants are open all the time. That being said, we thought the food quality and variety were quite good and recommend Portofino at least once during your stay. (Men need slacks and close-toed shoes for this one -- look up the dress code on-line). Overall, a lovely relaxing and carefree vacation. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Stayed at 5 all-inclusive hotels in Cabo over the last few years. This one was the best especially in food and service. Not very modern but comfortable, plush, and well maintained.
