"Nice All Inclusive Hotel"
Nice place and great all inclusive plan. The staff is friendly and the Explorer's Clud for the Kids is great. Our only dislike is the pool area is very quiet and sterile. This might be OK for some but we were hoping for a more fun enviornment.Genuine Expedia guest review
"3rd Visit to DREAMS Los Cabos"
This was our third visit to Dreams Los Cabos. Since our last visit in 2010, they changed the Himitsu menu to mostly sushi which was a disappointment to us. Plus the desserts offered were not up to the standards you would expect from a Dreams Resort - one evening they were even unable to offer what they had listed on the menu so your choices were very […] restricted. Due to restaurants being booked by private parties for dinner, one night we only had two choices of where we could go...not acceptable since we paid for the Resort's full services too. We love this Resort and hope to return but are hoping for some improvements such as putting an alternative to sushi in the Himitsu menu, adding a pastry chef who would work on more dessert selections, and remembering you need to accomodate ALL the guests when deleting services. "Tranquil retreat or party city - this has both."
We arrived two days after a tropical storm had hit Cabo. There was constant repair going on as workers patched leaky walkways and ceilings, but the work was unobtrusive. The room was a cool haven from the lingering ultra-humid weather. The service for the rooms was superb, providing the standard neatening visit in the morning and a turn-down service […] at night, plus being available for the slightest request at any other time. We were there for a family wedding, so there were about three dozen of us there and we are aware of one person having their heirloom necklace stolen while she was out of her room. We used the in-room safe for our valuables and went home without a loss. Being an all-inclusive resort, we were able to have meals and snacks whenever we were hungry and, while the food was not outstanding, it was adequate. The resort has several restaurants offering several cuisines from Italian to Japanese. In those restaurants, you may order from a menu, but most venues offered a generous buffet. There was a surprisingly small offering of the fresh seafood you might expect from the area and very little indigenous cuisine - if you want mostly American food, this is the place for you! Several members of our group came down with Montezuma's revenge, but we escaped the experience. In spite of the resort having their own water filtration system that they insist produces "safe" water, we stuck with bottled water and avoided ice, so I think that is probably why. "Great Pool! Great workers!"
Make sure that you are not going to Dreams Cabo to splash around and swim on the beach. The waves are big and constant and it is not recommended that people swim. Other than that the hotel is super clean the food is great and the staff is amazing.Genuine Expedia guest review

"fun, relaxing and pleasant family experience."
We spent 3 nights at the resort, and it was fun. It was really hot this time of the year, but the pool was great! Family and I spent a lot of time in the pool with drinks and food getting served . good service overall. Staff was fun and friendly. Didnt really use the resort credits given by Expedia because of the restrictions hotel people put in it. […] But all inclusive was good. The room service food was really good although it takes 35-50 min for food to be delivered. The activities desk was helpful in arranging the zip lining tour not far from hotel. Overall a fun, relaxing and pleasant experience. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great place for a family vacation !!"
We visited Los Cabos along with two other families. We have five young kids among us. Our foremost criteria for selecting the resort was to have access to a good kids club. Dreams provided just that. We could relax, unwind and had a great time in Dreams' infinity pool because we could leave our kids in Dreams' Kids Explorer club for the good part of […] our days there. We also got upgraded to honeymoon suites which were simply fantastic. Not only were the rooms very spacious and comfy but the room service and maid service was also excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only area where I found Dreams lacking was the service at their restaurants. I guess it is difficult for an all-inclusive resort to provide great service at their restaurants. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Not too many activities or nightly entertainment."
This is a nice place if you're staying for a few nights. There are not many activities if you do not plan to leave the resort. Even outside the resort, there's not much to see in Cabo compare to Cancun or Riviera Maya. The staff was very friendly and always asking if you need something. Food ranges from better than average to pretty good. We enjoyed […] the Sea Side Grill for steaks and Oceana for seafood lunch. The kid's club is nice and they'll take your kids to lunch and dinner for you if you want to enjoy a quiet time with your spouse. No swimming at this beach, unless you detest your life. We didn't walk to the nearby Hilton as many reviews suggested because there is no shade on the beach. If you're not a guest of the Hilton, you cannot use their facility and we do not want to be baked. If you plan to make phone calls, plan ahead. The hotel will charge $5USD/min for a call to the US. Internet is $15/day unless you stay in the more expensive 6th floor rooms. Hotel will want you to take taxi or shuttle everywhere, but the public bus is very easy to take. The bus will stop right outside the resort on both side of the street, just ask the Concierge for details. I tried to pay for everything is Peso because it's cheaper that way. Not sure if we will return to Cabo. Not much to do here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Too much HOT WATER"
I have stayed at this Dreams hotel before. I found it then a wonderful experience. This trip was also wonderful with the exception of one thing. For more than half our visit we had hot water in the toilet and hot water in both faucets on the sink. I informed the front desk by telephone. The next day, I caught a room service waiter that spoke very good […] english and asked him to inform maintenance. His supervisor called me back and told me that although it was not something Room Service dealt with she would contact maintenance. The next day, when we returned from a tour, a very nice man at the front desk asked if the problem was fixed. It had improved in that the water in the toilet was only warm, not hot as it had been before. Then everything got hot again. We were leaving the next day. I took a shower that night and it was fine. But the next morning my sister could not take a shower because there was only hot water which was to hot to shower in. It was a disappointing situation in a hotel I like so much. This was our first time in Cabo, and it was amazing! The resort is beautiful! Most of the staff were very helpful and attentive. The food presentation was great. Try Portifino's while you're here. It was the best restaurant at the resort. The guacamole, ceviche, and fish tacos are excellent! Beware of the wait time at the restaurants, so go early for […] supper. Our room was very clean. "Bring your own food"
The hotel was quite nice, the lobby is beautiful, the restaurants are pretty, the swimming areas are great, and the scenery is lovely. Hotel staff, housekeepers, and servers were pleasant. Servers were not very attentive. This hotel is quite far from stores/markets and the hotel prices for food/drink is expensive, so you need to have the "all-inclusive." […] The problem is the food. Breakfast is okay to good, but the lunches and dinner items are generally not impressive and often downright bad. The steaks we had were so bad that we couldn't eat more than one bite. The fried fish was soggy. The salads with mayonnaise were lukewarm. And, the cake was swimming in water -- perhaps set on wet dishes?--!!! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great Family Vacation Value, Great Kid's Club"
We went to Cabo San Lucas 12/16-24, 2011. We are a family of four with two children aged 6 and 9 years old. We had never done All Inclusive. Our main criteria for this vacation was close to get to by plane from the West Coast, nice ocean front resort, relaxation, nice pool, didn't need to be in Cabo town ,a good value and a Kid's Club for the Kid's […] to be entertained. Dreams delivered on all of those and more! I would say this hotel is a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars. We had a great time and would go back with the kids. There were lots of families with children there. Our kids loved the Kid's Club and begged to go there ever y day. The Kid's club was open from 9 am to 10 pm so we even had adult dinners most nights because the kid's wanted to stay in the Kid's Club. (This is included in the All Inclusive rate. Great deal! ) Great, fun, loving staff in Kid's club. The hotel staff is very attentive and friendly. Overall great service. They do try to accommodate you. Pool side service and bar was very good. Room -. We were upgraded to a King Size Suite with 2 bathrooms and a side Ocean view. The rooms and bathrooms are large, not new but nice. Mini bar in room stocked with beer, wine and soda. Food - Good to Very Good. Better than we expected. Lots of options for kids. Lots of fresh seafood and Mexican choices on the menus. Beside El Patio buffet, they had 4 other restaurants and they were good. Portofino Italian was the nicest but had the longest wait. Room service was good. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Mostly good. Food is okay at best"
while in general everything was good, the quality of food is okay at best. For vegetarians i wouldn't recommend it. we had to complain to the manager before they started making special food for us else we were stuck with pizza and grilled cheese. The coupons from Expedia are absolutely worthless since the spa basically says it can't be used for most […] things. "Would probably stay at Dreams again"
Had the best food of any all inclusive we've ever stayed at. We were turned off by being tricked into going to their Vacation Club presentation which took almost 2 hours and is a rip off.. but at least we saved money on some excursions because of it. The "night club" is just a room with a bar and tables and they play music, FAR from a nightclub. Wayyyyy […] too many weddings in one week. there had to be at least 10 the week we were there, so there were tons of young people being rowdy in the pool all day, which forced us over to the tranquility pool (to avoid being hit in the head with a football or having to listen to them yelling all afternoon). The service was EXCELLENT. Drinks were good. Love the no reservation for dinner policy, and no wrist bands. Menu selections were odd and limited, portions small, but the quality and taste of food was good. Just wish they had better menu selections. Like, why isn't there a grilled chicken sandwich or salad on the lunch menu? Loved the 24 hr room service - used it a couple times. They offer a shuttle to downtown for $6pp one way, which helped save some money, since a taxi costs $25 one way! Only drawback was that the shuttle only runs until 9:30. The entertainment was limited, no nightly shows or theater.. the Halloween party was fun. The resort is a little smaller than we would've liked, biggest drawback is the taxi cost to go downtown since there is NO nightlife at the hotel (lobby bar closes at 11), unless you want to go in the club. "Dreams Los Cabos"
Nice hotel to just relax at.....couldn't go in the water at the hotel due to the high waves and undertow. Food could have been better and entertainment staff was lacking. Does not even come close to the entertainment staff at Dreams in Punt Cana. The tranquility pool was a bit of a joke...as soon as you got up to go to use the bathroom in your room, […] the staff would remove your belongings and towel from the chair, freeing it up for someone else. Strangely, some people were allowed to leave their stuff out for hours without even being there and others were allowed to go to lunch and not lose their chairs....I guess it all depended upon how much you tipped the staff person on duty to keep your spot. "We Dreamed a Lil' Dream"
We had a great stay at Dreams Los Cabos. Our friends were getting married there, so we decided to stay at the same resort for a week. The food was good, the service was great. Our group of friends figured out that the hard alcohol was truly watered down, except at the wedding reception. We enjoyed Casino Night. The Italian restaurant was the best. Guacamole […] was non-existent. Room service was wonderful and prompt. One thing I don't remember reading anywhere is that the sand on the beach is more like little pokey shell-rocks. You can't swim in the ocean directly in front of the hotel either. We took a mile walk each way to find a beach to swim in. I wouldn't reccomend this hotel to families with small children, as there were very limited activities for kids, even with their explorer camp. Overall we had a great time, but we decided that we prefer to go on cruises, so we will not be going back to Dreams. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Overall, the resort was great and the staff was very accommodating ( other than the manager at check in). The weather was perfect! "Maybe a dream for some people"
Dreams is a very nice hotel. I would recommend it to someone that doesn’t have super fine taste. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were large and had everything you need. The food was good at times but not excellent. Roomservice was horrible. Drinks were a bit weak but abundant. There were many activities but most were unappealing like stretching, […] beach walks, putting, etc. The staff was very nice except for the waiters at the restaurants for lunch and dinner. They didnt seem to care and were not very attentive. Most of the crowd at the hotel was trashy. We had a bad experience at the formal restaurant "Portofino" where there was a large table that was rowdy, loud, and rude. The waiters were laughing until we complained and they had to kick them out, pouring their wine into plastic cups. If I were to do it again I would stay at a regular hotel and have my meals in San Jose and Cabo San Lucas since the food and drink there was fantastic and cheap. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Met my expectations"
Went for a 6 day last minute (booked the week before) stay. Wanted a real all-inclusive resort as we did not plan on leaving and did not want to carry $ with us all day. In this regard, our expectations were met. Truly was all inclusive. However, they do ask for your room # about 90% of the time. Didn't bother us too much, but does give you sense that […] you are being monitored. Perhaps if we were ordering enough food & drink to feed a football team somebody would have approached us. The hotel itself was nice enough. Not mind-blowing. Pool was also nice, but not spectacular. It is true that you can't swim on the beach (trust me!), so I would have thought they would have invested more in a nicer pool area. We went during their slow season, so it was more than adequate, but I can see it being very crowded during peak times. Don't expect much for activities or other amenities - water aerobics, outdoor movies, tennis court (1), tacky oversized plastic chess set, tiny fake putting green, undersized horseshoe court, decent gym. Food was good, but definitely nothing impressive. Ate at seaside grill for most meals and did room service for breakfasts. Overall, set your expectations at about a 6/10 and won't be dissappointed. Good place to go if you just don't want to think about paying for food/drinks, will be a fairly short getaway (anything > 1 week & it will get old), and intent is to relax, soak up sun, enjoy the view. If you want more to do and/or great food, better closer to town Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great except for the food"
We went to Dreams as part of a wedding party and had a great time with only a couple of problems. The resort is beautiful and well maintained for the most part. Our biggest problem was the food. This was our first time going to an all inclusive and it is great for the drinks but not so much for food. We struggled to find anything worth eating for most […] of the trip. Breakfast was good but other than that the food was very forgettable. Room service took at least 45 minutes everytime we ordered and it got to the point where we would order a few items each so that we could try to find something that tasted good. The best food we had during the trip was from a taco stand near cabo wabo. This hotel is a good value and I might stay there again and just plan on going into town for dinner every day. Incredibly friendly staff and great service. We traveled with our 9 month old daughter and we felt very comfortable there. The staff were incredibly attentive and great with her.
