Even though we checked-in early, the staff made all the amenities available to us right away and stowed our luggage until the room was ready. We were... given our all-inclusive bracelets and we free to use their hospitality rooms for changing and showers. The facilities were well kept and new looking. The service we received was phenomenal, staff would wait on you when you sat on any of the beach chairs (on the beach or pool side), room service was included, and the waiters at the restaurants always tended to you. I traveled here during Spring Break, and although the bars got busy, they never got frustrated or tired. The Omni is located in a great location, five minutes from downtown. Overview

Location.
Positioned between the calm blue waters of the Caribbean and Nichupte Lagoon, the Omni Cancun Hotel and Villas All Inclusive is located in Cancun, Mexico. Just one kilometer from the El Rey ruins, the resort is three kilometers from shopping and dining at Plaza Kukulcan. Located on the northeastern tip of the Yucatan Peninsula, Cancun has become one of the most popular vacation destinations in the Caribbean. This hotel is located near many of Mexico's Mayan ruins. There are many outdoor activities available, including windsurfing, parasailing and boogie boarding. The Iberostar Cancun Golf Course is one-half kilometer from the property, and there are many places to play beach volleyball. The waters near the resort are generally calm and ideal for swimming. Beach cabanas are available (surcharge), as are sun loungers/chaise lounges, and umbrellas.

Hotel Features.
There are nine restaurants and five bars on-site. The large, L-shaped pool features a swim-up bar and can be found on the top level of terraced sundecks that overlook the sea. A lower-level pool features waterfalls and a separate children's section with a 25-person spa tub adjacent. A 40-person spa tub is located beachside and features a swim-up bar with stools and rope swings. Poolside sun loungers/chaise lounges and towels are also available. The resort's Omni SPA features a spa boutique and offers a number of relaxing treatments including massages, body wraps, and body scrubs, as well as a spa tub and mud bath. The spa's fitness center has weights, cardiovascular machines, and steam rooms. Complimentary activities include aerobics classes, table tennis and fitness facilities. Pilates and yoga classes are also offered on site. Guests under 16 are not allowed in certain recreation facilities. Wireless Internet access is available for a fee. 7 meeting/conference spaces are located on the property. The 24-hour front desk can assist with concierge, dry cleaning and tour assistance.

Guestrooms.
Connecting or adjoining rooms are available. All accommodations feature furnished balconies or step-down sitting areas with large windows offering water views. Villa-style units have kitchens and all units have complimentary wireless Internet access, minibars, premium bedding with cotton sheets and sewing kits. Other amenities include in-room safes and cable television with premium and free movie channels.

Dining

La Paloma - Air-conditioned poolside restaurant with colorful Mexican decor and garden views. Breakfast and lunch buffet. Nightly themed buffet dinners in La Paloma include Mexican, Oriental, Arabic/Mediterranean, Italian, Chef's Night, Barbeque, and Caribbean.
Da Vinci - Intimate, air-conditioned, fine-dining restaurant and bar serving à la carte dinners Friday-Wednesday. Decor featuring murals honoring Leonardo da Vinci, as well as garden and pool views. Reservations required. Dress code: Long pants, collared shirts for men. (No jeans, sandals.)

Guests may dine at Da Vinci 1 night for minimum stay of 3-4 nights, 2 nights for stays of 5-6 nights, and 2 nights for stays of 7 nights. Children 12 and under are welcomed for the 6 PM seating only.

Piña Colada - Casual open-air spot on beach. Seafood restaurant and bar, serving breakfast and lunch al fresco.This contemporary restaurant transforms in the evening to another fine-dining restaurant with spectacular views of the ocean. Restaurant Deva offers Indonesian/Asian gourmet cuisine in a unique atmosphere. Reservations required through the concierge. Guests may dine 1 night for stays of 3-4 nights. 2 for stays of 5 nights or longer.
Viva Mexico - This poolside restaurant serves lunch and dinner Tuesdays-Sundays. Dining is al fresco, with ocean, garden, and pool views.
Sushi Bar - The Sushi Bar offers lunch Saturdays-Thursdays. It is situated poolside, and has garden, ocean, and pool views.
Kuku's Bar - Open-air beach bar featuring 40-person spa tub with bar stools on one side and rope swings on sand side. Open from late morning to early evening.

Pool Grill - Swim-up bar and poolside grill. Pizza, nachos, burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches. Open from late morning to early evening.

Lobby Bar - Bar/lounge with wood ceiling, big-screen TV, live music or karaoke in evenings. Open from late-morning to 1 AM.

Dinner Buffets - Nightly themed buffet dinners in La Paloma include Mexican, Oriental, Arabic/Medditerranean, Italian, Chef's Night, Barbeque, and Caribbean.

Things to do

The Omni Cancun Hotel & Villas All Inclusive offers daily activities, including water aerobics classes, windsurfing, paddle boating, and sailing. Pilates and yoga classes are also available on site. The Kid's Club offers children their very own place to play, explore, learn, create, and make new friends!

Guests can also enjoy a tennis game or basketball or volleyball on the hotel's two multi-sports courts, both lit for night play.

Recreation

An L-shaped activities pool with swim-up bar lies at the top level of sunbathing terraces overlooking the sea. The pool spills into an irregularly shaped lower-level pool measuring approximately 55 by 36.5 meters (60 by 40 yards) and featuring waterfalls, tile lounging beds, and a separate children's section. Adjacent to this pool lies a blossom-shaped spa tub accommodating 25 guests. Poolside sun loungers/chaise lounges are also available.

Staircases lead down from the lower-level pool to the resort's 200-meter (219-yard) beach frontage, which is furnished with thatched-roof palapas for shade. Beach cabanas are also available (surcharge), as are sun loungers/chaise lounges, umbrellas, and towels. Arrayed at the back of the beach are a palapa, faux-rock waterfalls, and Kuku's Bar, which features a 40-person spa tub with bar stools on one side and rope swings on the other.

An independent water-sports center, AquaWorld, provides boogie boards at the resort. AquaWorld's main center is a marina located 1 kilometer (0.75 miles) away on Nichupte Lagoon. Guests may use paddle boats, kayaks, windsurfers, AquaTrikes, and sailboats, at the marina. All guests can book AquaWorld's scuba-diving classes at the resort for surcharges. AquaWorld also arranges scuba-diving excursions, fishing trips, parasailing flights, and personal watercraft rentals.

The nearest golf course is at the Iberostar resort 0.5 kilometers (0.3 miles) away. The course includes a driving range, a pro shop offering club and shoe rentals, and a resident pro for instruction.

Since the moment we arrived to the hotel 'til the moment we checked out it was fantastic! We loved the customer servive and hospitality. Every staff member always had smile for us. The hotel itself was nice. It has all we needed and a spectacular view (we had ocean view). The beach water and sand were beautiful, altough, the water was not calm but this […] is not the hotel's fault. If you are planning to spend a lot of time in the hotel, get the all inclusive package, totally worth it! We recommend this resort 100% and we are already planning to go back! Watch out for the time share or membership people, we encountered them at the airport dressed in black and supposedly they worked for the "tourism company" and we ended up going to a presentation just to save money on some tickets. The presentation was for the "MAYAN PALACE RESORT" and we spent 4 hrs there when it was supposed to be 90 mins. DONT GO THERE, we still have nightmares about the presentation and seller.
