"Decent stay"
We had no issues with our stay. The staff was curteous and helpful. The housekeeping staff was adequate, daily cleanliness of the hotel was fine. My only criticism would be that the hotel was old and a bit run down; matresses and pillows were adequate but not particularly lush, towels were old and rough, carpet old and worn, bathroom tile and fixtures […] old and stained. "A quaint hotel at a good price."
The little hotel is well located, It is affordable, although the rooms lack heat and that can be a problem at the altitude of Mexico City. Given this in mind better bedding is required to keep the guest warm. A heavy comforter is needed. "Just a place to sleep"
Do not expect this to be a great hotel. It is just a place to go to sleep and no more. for the price pay is nothing great to say. Service is just fine. The staff try their best offer a good service. No air conditioner, at leas in my room, so if you can not sleep in a warm room, do not even think about this hotel. Their room amenities are not too good. […] Linen is just unacceptable, they should invest at least on that. Bed linen with holes and very thin for all the washes. Towels only and not even the size of a bath towel they are like double size of a hand towels and they are very very very old, they look more like a kitchen rack. I do not recommend to include the breakfast. Coffee is 80% water flavor, breads are not too good, the pieces of fruit is what taste the best...because is not made by them... other than that it is just fine. I did not expect much for the price I paid. I've been in other cheap hotels a lot cozier than this one. Again it is just fine to go to sleep and take a shower and stay all day long outside. The pillow and sheets were with several head hairs and even the other kind of hairs that you don't want to find on your pillow in a hotel! I was moved to another room and it was the same. "No complimentary water bottle , dirty cups ."
Hotel Prim was clean for the most part. I booked online a smoking room and upon arrival filled out a paper that said "smoking". When we got in the room it was non smoking. No big deal but when we went to request a smoking room the staff did not want to change our room. After a bit of talking the employee led us to a room on another floor. The "smoking […] floor" was noticeably more dirty than the last, and all the lights were turned off as to hide the stained carpets. We got inside and it was not as nice as the previous room, and I noticed there was no bottle of water in this room. In the first room there was a bottle of water and two empty plastic cups over top of the bottle. Not in this room, no bottled water.. I found nothing but 2 empty plastic cups and one of them had lipstick on it! Not my own lipstick, but someone else 's! I told the front desk about it and and a lady said she would take care of it but never did. Poor service. Another thing, the ad also says this place has Airport shuttle service, nope. "Great Location on a budget"
The hotel was probably nice 25 years ago but it is now quite shabby and in need of renos. However, rooms are clean and decent for the price and location, which is a walking distance from such places as the Ciudadela Artisan Market, Museum of Fine Arts, the Paseo Reforma, tourist bus and city buses and metro. Lamentablemente mi estadía no fue placentera, una mala atención en el Restaurante, la habitación jamas tuvo toalla de manos, solo de baño, la regadera tenia una gran fuga hacia arriba, las lamparas de mi habitación una se cayo, y la otra no servia, el apagador principal de mi habitación tenia corto circuito, estuve en la habitación 207, cuando entre […] no me entregaron el control de la TV tuve que pedirlo, luego baje a solicitarlo porque no me lo llevaron, la verdad, por el precio quizá valga la pena, pero por el servicio no lo recomiendo, ademas esta en una zona tan transitada que se vera cualquier noche entorpecida por accidentes, y relajos de una disco que esta a la par del hotel, no lo recomiendo, fue una Mala experiencia.
