Me and my girlfriend stayed at El Andalous on a recent 5 day trip to Marrakech. After reading mixed reviews of the hotel on here before our stay we... where not high on expectations but i have gone out my way to write this review as the level of service we received was second to none. The hotel is situated nicely between the airport and all the tourist attractions such as medina market - meaning you are never really in a taxi for too long. The area the hotel is situated in is lovely and reminiscent of Beverly Hills with its Palm trees and tourist friendly atmosphere - Which is a lovely break from the intimidating SELL SELL SELL atmosphere of Medina and the more run down areas of Marrakech. The hotel staff and management where very helpful (fluent English) even granting us a late 2pm check out (at no extra cost) as we where flying home in the evening. Maid service and new towels where provided daily. The restaurant serves lovely food (beware the menu is only French though and the service tend to only speak french on the food side of things). The pool is lovely and we had ample room soaking up some January Sun, although i imagine it would be alot busier in summer months. The Indoor Bar area is also superb with lavish decor. On a tourist side of things there is always taxis outside the hotel and the gates are always manned and the place is very safe and secure. For its reasonable price El Andalous is a great proposition to anyone traveling to Marrakech and I highly recommend it. by Dave B from Liverpool on 01/24/12
