I stayed at the Plaza Hotel for a week for business and it was a delightful experience. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and the location was just perfect - close to Myungdong and Lotte Department store with subway line 2 underneath the hotel. This is a must stay place - a bit expensive but definitely worth the $$!

The Plaza exceeded my standards, particularly in service. Every staff member was extremely polite, bowing every time I passed them. I used the concierge service daily, and they gave excellent advice, directions and maps to various tourist sites. The room was small but with all technology being automatic, I loved closing the curtains, adjusting the temp, […] turning on the alarm easily on one keypad next to the bed. The bidet was supreme as well as the rain shower. Breakfast service was impeccable! I ordered off the menu, as I didn't have the buffet package, but the way the waiters presented the food and re-arranged my silverware and plates perfectly every time they brought me another dish I felt like royalty. The photos are deceptive. I mistakenly thought the hotel was right off a highway, where surrounding shops and buildings were farther apart than they were. In fact, the subway IS under the hotel, there is small alley behind the hotel, a large street that has a pedestrian crossing in front of the building only. There's a Dunkin donut across the street and a Starbucks across the street on another side. You're a 10 minute walk from Myeongdong and Namdaemun, the best shopping area IMO in Seoul, bar none. You're only about 1.5 miles south of the largest palace in Seoul. I took the subways everywhere for 1 week and realized quickly the location was the bomb. The Lotte dept store is also a 10 minute walk through an underground tunnel. Excellent! Read more

The location was perfect, directly in the center of town with walking access to a palace, shopping, restauarants and many of our business meetings. I read some reviews about this hotel's decor being dated. Well, this hotel has undergone extensive remodeling I guess. The rooms are amazing. The bed was very comfortable and I loved the rain shower. The service is excellent. We had drinks at the upscale bar, which cost about twice as much as a normal bar in Seoul. There are several really good restaurants […] in the area, especially in the Seoul Financial Center. Many major sights are walking distance and the subway runs right to the hotel (City Hall stop). There is limousine bus service to Incheon, which is nice if you have large bags. If you are traveling in summer or winter though, check to make sure the hotel HVAC is working. The AC was not working when we visited. Luckily it was April and this was not really a problem because of the nice weather. I would check beforehand though. Read more

We stayed at the club level. The service provided, including excellent breakfasts and drinks and buffet in the late afternoon, was outstanding. The rooms are quite small, but very well appointed and maintained. The club level lounge made up for the size of the room, which is small for anything but sleeping.

The hotel is above 5 stars. A great place to stay for vacation. The hotel staffs were wonderful. The duty manager Mr. Kwang Seok Kim and Mr. Luke Park from the front desk were extremely helpful. I had a great time and will visit again when JYJ has their world tour concert in the summer.
