Just north of Ginza, this financial area was named after its bridge, which has been the mile-zero marker for Japan’s national highway network throughout the centuries. Once home to Japan’s first department store, the neighborhood’s more recent contribution to the retail market is a five-story center devoted to shops, cafes, restaurants, and a supermarket.

"Good location, bad air conditioning"
The hotel staff were polite and the Wisteria restaurant was very nice. Being near Tokyo Station was a plus. However, they were heating the hotel (Nov), but the temperature controls in the room did not work, so we couldn't cool our room down. We stayed for two nights of miserable sleep...it was very hard to sleep in the heat. We propped the door open […] for a while in hopes that the somewhat cooler hallway air would come in. When I asked at the front desk (in the middle of the night), I was told that the AC was broken and that they didn't have any portable fans. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent for one person near Tokyo Station"
I don't want to appear negative with the ratings above. It is a good, clean, functional hotel in an excellent location. The rooms are small but well designed. There are not many amenities in or around the lobby -- but I did not need amenities. For someone traveling alone who wants to be within easy walking distance of Tokyo Station, the Ginza area, […] and/or the Imperial Palace, I would strongly recommend staying here. Two in the bedroom, however, would have been tight. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"EXPENSIVE, BUT GOOD LOCATION"
NEAR SUBWAY, TRAIN STATION AND GINZA IS VERY WELL ITS LOCATION. EXPENSIVE GOOD SERVICE, NO GYM NO SWIMI.Genuine Expedia guest review
We happened to be in Tokyo during the quake. This hotel was not very helpful at all. Very limited English and didn't want to allow us to stay past our reservation. After tears from my 8 year old, they agreed to one more night at the top rate but then no more. We were able to move to the Sheraton(a fabulous hotel by the way). The limited help and limited […] English, plus the expectation of tipping after being told no tipping in Japan, made this not a great experience. It was in a good location for Tokyo station and Ginza. For the rate we paid for the first 3 nights, it was fine. Definitely not worth more than that. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Small room but good proximity to Ginza"
Booked a double room for three persons (i.e. double room with a bed added)...and checked in to find a room that is small even if there are only two people. There was hardly any walking space after we brought in our luggage. But the room was clean, and the hotel is a 5-minute walk from the exciting Ginza shopping area, 10 minutes from Tokyo Station (from […] which we could easily get to other major areas in Tokyo, e.g. Ueno, Shinjuku) and a few minutes from a few less major metro stations (e.g. Yurakucho, Ginza).Free Wifi is available in the room, so that rocks! "Convenient to the train"
Nice location. Hotel a bit oldGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location and great value for money. Just a three min walk from either Tokyo Station or the Ginza shopping district. Unfortunately, as with many/most hotels in Japan, there was no way to adjust the temperature in the room (only set to heating, so could get it warmer but not cooler) to my liking. Was constantly a bit too hot. Rooms were of descent […] size for being Japan. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The location is the only selling point of this hotel. The airconditioning was terrible!!!! We had to request for an electric fan! :(Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Ok hotel let down by minor room details."
Single room, feb 2012. Yaesu Fujiya is one of the cheaper hotels in this very central area near Tokyo station. In general i'd consider going back there again, but i'd prefer to try elsewhere in the area first. It wasn't horrible as such, but it wasn't great either. 3/5. Remember Japans mobile (cell) phones work on a 3G system, so your mobile may not […] work. Pros:- Location is great for Tokyo station, Ginza subway and the upmarket local shops. I did the 5 min station->hotel walk with my case without issue. The hotel itself is ok, with an attached 7 eleven - try the bready baps filled with custard and chocolate sauce for breakfast:) The rooms bathroom was fine (though a bit battleshippy) and you were provided with lots of bathroom consumables, There was 1 english language news channel on tv. Cons:- I didn't get a good feeling about the room. Something felt wrong, maybe the size of the single room? The rooms Air con didn't cool, it only heats but no openable windows. My room was slightly warmer than i wanted in winter. I don't know what it would be like in summer. Hard mattress The wall around the window was very dirty. Minor cons: The kettle hotplate contraption took ages to boil. The staff indicated there was no wifi in the hotel, only wired ethernet internet access. Confusingly the next day i noticed there was a sign mentioning wifi in the breakfast area. Though i couldn't log in and gave up at that point. I'll take a portable mini wifi travel router next time. "Yaesu Fujiya - Perfect location"
The location is perfect, closed to everything. We can walk to Tokyo Station, Ginza area and other shopping places near JR Yurakuch station in few minutes. Rooms is a bit out of date but clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Helt ok hotell"

Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"ONLY the location, then nothing else"
I stayed in this hotel on Feb 9 for 1 night. I went to Tokyo for work or personal reason for a few times. This is typical room size in Tokyo. SMALL,SMALL, SMALL but CLEAN. If you are a business traveler, this is the choice. What they need is a bed and shower at a business area with good accessibility. That's the reason most of the consumers of this […] hotel is the local businessmen from other parts of Japan, so I find this hotel a bit boring. Actually it is nothing wrong but just with no atmosphere. If you come to Japan for leisure travel, I think there are plenty of better choices, like Hotel Monterey Ginza. I stayed there before, The room is also small but the whole building and set up is much nicer, newer, at least you would like to stay in the hotel but not immediately rush our for fresh air or wifi. (BTW, this Yaesu hotel has too good business, so they even do not bother to install wifi service at the room which is not common in Tokyo at all) . Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Genuine Hotels.com guest review
