The hotel is located inside the Kyoto Train Station which is a perfect location to use as a starting point to explore Kyoto. Everything about the hotel was excellent except the WiFi which was free but timed you out based on usage, a strange quirk for an otherwise perfect hotel.

With this hotel being located in (very) busy Kyoto Station, it is easy to get around the city by bus or taxi. We stayed here for several nights, and the hotel's concierge service went above and beyond the call of duty in making our stay enjoyable. More authentic and interesting hotel experiences are surely available, but this one is a great choice.

We were overall very happy with this hotel, probably best of our 2 week trip in Japan. Location is great, quality of the hotel is top notch. I would recommend to anyone to stay on top or very close to the train station in Japan, given how much you will travel for day trips. Plus you have all the stores/food convenience in the station.

A great hotel if you want a quiet atmosphere, respectful and truly guest oriented staff, and accessibility to transportations, food, and shopping. The JR ticketing office and the Tourism office provided English speaking staff to assist non Japanese speaking people. Maps […] and guides have English translation and the Japanese people were always willing to assist despite the language barrier by simply pointing to the Japanese translations on the maps and guides. This was one of the best hotels that I have stayed at compared to Four Seasons, Intercontinetal and 5 star hotels in Hawaii. You can not beat the location. We used the bus system rather than the subways, as in Tokyo - best way to see the city and get around.

I liked this hotel since it's adjacent Kyoto station. The internet service was really slow. It's a huge hotel, so don't be surprised if it takes you quite a while to get to your room. Other than those two things...great hotel.

Arrived from Tokyo on the Shinnkansen, hotel is right inside the station which was fantastic. Great location if you are coming in by train or leaving by train. You can take the subway to the central part of Kyoto easily though. The stores and malls in the train station are incredible. We loved our stay would stay again only comment I have is the that indoor pool is not family friedly kids or only allowed in the am from 0700-0900. My kids were pretty upset when I told them they wer not allowed in the pool.

We didn't expect to see red maple leaves in mid Dec but just before I set off to Kyoto, a friend told me there're still some temples with beautiful red leaves. I immediately email the hotel asking for help to provide info about these temples. I also asked for booking of the Sagano sight-seeing tram and boat ride. I got everything I need in 2 days. The […] info and condition of red maples in each temples was given and a map was also clearly indicate the location, route and transportation. The booking of tram and boat ride was also efficiently arranged. They even suggested the best option on tram and boat schedule to save our time. The English of the staff at Concierge was very good and no problem in giving detailed info. The only problem is the Concierge close at 20:00 so we could not get their advice when return after 20:00. The location of this hotel at the station made it ideal for us. As well as being convenient for the Shinkansen, most of the public transport in Kyoto starts at the station. 교토를 중심으로 여행하는 여행객에게 위치나 주변환경만을 따진다면 최고의 호텔입니다. 일본 호텔치고는 객실도 비교적 넓고 영어도 잘 통합니다. 하지만 최고로 친절하다거나 객실이 매우 청결하다고는 할 수 없었습니다. 특히나 바닥에 깔린 짙은 푸른색의 카펫 위에 구석구석 하얗게 뭉쳐있던 먼지들은 유감이었습니다. 몇몇 가지 아쉬움에도 불구하고 모든 것을 아우르는 편리한 위치로 인하여 다시 기회에 교토에 머물게 된다면 다시금 찾게될 것 같습니다.

Kyoto Granvia ligger yderst belejligt ovenpå hovedbanegården i Kyoto og er dermed et godt udgangspunkt for en førstgangsbesøgende i byen. Hotel er stort og moderne uden at det føles koldt. 今年應該是第四次來住這個飯店啦!每次來大阪,京都旅遊一定選擇這間飯店而且一定會連住好多天咩!因為飯店的所在位置(在京都車站內)方便性強,寧靜度也夠,更重要的是,每次要求飯店能夠提供禁菸的房間,都能照辦啦!住在這裡只有一句話-------------就是舒服啦!
