"Great hotel for the price"
My husband stayed at this hotel it was great.Staff and everyone was ok, a bit disapointed we did not know that there was a disco there until the last night. Our stay at Breezes was amazing. The staff are very accomdating and friendly. The entertainment staff were great and really made the trip very enjoyable. Many different activities to do. "Great value for the money"
We really enjoyed our stay at Breezes Runaway Bay. The food at the buffett and restaurants was really good. Our favorite restaurant was the Starlight Grill...we had the opportunity to enjoy their asian fusion menu. The bakers at the resort are incredible...the breads were always fresh and the desserts were wonderful. But I have to say all the food was […] good...and lots of variety. The only reason I gave the resort a 4 for 'comfort of room' and 'condition of hotel' was the shower temperature was hard to regulate. The water would get extremely hot and other days the water would never be warm. Overall, I felt the resort was a great value for the money. You're not staying at a 5-star hotel...but you are staying at a hotel that has great service, very clean, and beautiful grounds (beach and gardens). Also to add, the pools and jacuzzis are all very clean. They monitor the pools all the time...if a stray leaf falls in the water, they are cleaning it immediately. Almost forgot...the hotel surprised us with a bottle of champagne to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary! "Super Friendly Staff"
I would like begin by expressing how friendly ALL of the resort staff were. I went to this resort alone just to get away for a few days to relax and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I was greeted at the airport by a staff member who chauffered me an hour and 15 minutes to the resort. After I arrived, check-in was speedy and the bellman carried my luggage […] to my room. When I walked in I was overwhelmed by the smell of Raid (bug spray) so I thought I was going to see roached and ants. Contrary to my belief, I saw no roaches or ants in my room but I did see them (along with flies) at the outside grill cafe. The only complaint with my room would be that there were giant mosquitos flying everywhere. I had to combat them during my entire stay. I had a beautiful view from my balony and it was very quiet. At the outside grill cafe, there were flies everywhere EVEN on the FOOD. The buffet line wasn't as "fly infested" and the food was quite tasty. The beach was absolutely breathtaking and as a scuba diver I really enjoyed the unlimited scuba diving (night dive too). My complaint about the beach would be the human vultures that strolled the beach trying to hustle you their merchandise. They would wait in the water for guest to enter then pull out their seashells with hopes of a sell. I even saw them trying to get convince other guest to get them drinks from the bar. My best friend and i accompanied 4 17/18 year old high school senior boys. They had a ball, were treated great, had lots of activities for both their age group as well as the active 50 year olds with them. We loved the "local dishes" offered at each meal. Staff were extremely friendly and very helpful with every aspect of our stay. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The beach is gorgeous and well kept. The food was tasty! There are several restaurants on the property and all were wonderful (some require reservations, so check with the front desk). We took the snorkeling trip and rode the Hobie […] cats. The snorkeling is sort of depressing because Jamaica's reefs are dying, but there are still plenty of fish to see. Stayed 8 days/7 nights. Resort was better than we expected. Reception personnel very helpful and accommodating. Our room was clean and very welcoming. Enough towels, toiletries, pillows. Everything smelt very fresh and clean. We were able to eat as soon as we checked in. Reggae Cafe has jerk chicken, jerk pork, curried goat and hamburgers with french […] fries. Food and drinks are served throughout the day and the buffet has several dishes to choose from. The Italian and Japanese Restaurant need reservations and you need to take at least one dress pants (for the men) to have dinner there - so don't carry only short pants and casual wear...the way we did!! It did not dampen our stay however as the other choices were gratifying. The only problem we did have was the message light on our phone did not work and we missed a couple calls...which we reported to the front desk upon our departure. Very nice stay. Would recommend to others. Staff go out of their way to accomodate and help you. Only problem was our room was'nt cleanned one day.
