"Very relaxing hotel"
The room was very clean. It wasn't glamorous but was nice and very comfortable. The patio was excellent and we spent a lot of time out there, especially at night. Not too bad for the money -- a nice beach, very good complimentary breakfasts (made to order omelets or eggs, fruit, stew chicken, fried dumplings -- actually very nice every day served 8-11. Good coffee too! The bar is not for night time, and the pool is just okay. But overall a decent place with a decent price, plenty to do close by or take a quick […] car ride to the west end. Ask the locals where the parties are -- they generally start very late, so don't plan on finding a big dance-fest in the early evening hours. The Negril Tree House is centrally located on 7 mile beach. The hotel was very good for our desired type of vacation. It is not one of the Super Clubs and only serves breakfast, however, thats was perfect as we wanted to try a variety of the local restaurants and food. Breakfast was OK but not a lot of variety. Most of the restaurants in the area are […] fantastic and accept credit cards or US currancy if you dont want to exchange but check the rates and you will want to keep some cash on hand for purchases, tips, etc. Cabs are available and prices are reasonable. Take a drive down to West End to see the cliffs at Rick's Cafe for sunset or any of the many restaurants there. Locals are very friendly and will try to sell you everything they can but a simple "no thank you" is all you need if you are not interested. The beach is very lively during the day right up through dinner but generally calm at night. We went for New Years Eve and bonfires are found along the beach at various places and there is plenty of night life to be found should you want. I have stayed at all inclusives and the food is sometimes questionable so this was a great way to go where we wanted. It was simply perfect in everyway but it depends on the type of vacation you want. Super Clubs are more expensive but you don't spend a lot of time in your room and you have to eat at their restaurants and may have a dress code in some places. "The Negril Treehouse Resort - A pearl in paradise"
I not sure where to start ! Our experience at the Negril Tree House Resort was fantastic. The entire staff was courteous and caring. The room was an absolute bargain , very well furnished and was exceptionally clean. I can't imagine finding a better bargain in Jamaica. The buildings and grounds that make up the Tree House Resort are well kept and reflect […] the care and concern that the staff has regarding the comfort and pleasure it's guests expect to enjoy while staying there. My fiancee and I went there to marry. Cynthia Ruddock is responsible for reservations and for arranging for marriage ceremonies. She did a fantastic job. Our requirements were unique in that I am a US citizen and my fiancee is a brazilian citizen. Cynthia guided us through each step of the process and took great care to make certain each detail and requirement was managed. In our case, the normal documents each person is required to present in order to obtain the marriage license were written in portuguese for my fiancee. Cynthia arranged for these documents to be translated into english and arranged for a minister to perform the ceremony. Yes, our experience was joyful because of the wedding, but more than this, it was made even better because of the caring attitude of Cynthia and the rest of the staff of the Treehouse. My wife and I plan to go there again on our anniversary. We were treated like royalty and when we left we had made good friends there with the folks at the Treehouse. Go there. Negril Tree always exceed my expectations. As a frequent visitor to Jamaica, I always unwind on the beach at the Negril Tree House. The experience is one that cannot be explained--you must see it for yourself and will not have regrets! If the Tree House is booked, stay at CoCo LaPalm. They are both the best on the beach. The only tip I would recommend […] is not to book taxi rides or excersions through the tour desk--they are a bit pricey. Arrange excersions through an indepedent agent such as JUTA. For taxi rides, go to the street and hail down a taxi. The cost should not exceed $100JA up and down the beach. Cliff rides may be a little bit more , but avoid the tour desk at the hotels. This place was ok, right on the beach. Atleast breakfast was free. Staff is friendly and courteous.
