Location.
The Coyaba Beach Resort & Club is located five miles east of Montego Bay, Jamaica, and less than five miles from Sangster/Montego Bay International Airport.
Property Features.
The recently renovated Coyaba Beach Resort & Club boasts a private white sand beach running the full length of the property, non-motorized watersports, beach and pool sun loungers provided, an outdoor tennis court plus tennis lessons, pool, and spa tub.
The full-service Spa Heaven offers massage and body treatments, facials, reflexology, paraffin hand treatments, waxing and nail care, and guests may opt for a massage in a beachfront gazebo. The spa offers outdoor treatment rooms, and also rooms for couples. Guests are asked to make advanced reservations for massage and spa treatments.
Children can play table games in the open-air wood hut or build sand castles in the two sand playgrounds. Roundtrip shuttles take guests to Montego Bay several days each week; airport and shopping shuttles are also available (surcharge). High-speed Internet access is available in the colonial-style lobby, and there is a meeting/conference room with 58 square meters of space.
Flowering thunbergia vines climb the trellises at the onsite Vineyard restaurant, where an a la carte breakfast is served daily, including freshly baked pastries. An a la carte dinner is served 5 nights a week, and entertainment accompanies an eclectic Caribbean cuisine, such as Ginger Beef Filets and Cuban Pork Tenderloin (menu changes nightly). Afternoon tea is also available.
The Docks Bar & Grille offers dining in an open-air restaurant under peaked wood ceilings. Tropical murals are painted on the walls and the wood deck offers umbrella tables above the ocean’s edge. Lunch includes wraps, fresh salads, sandwiches, and Jamaican specialties such as jerk chicken, escovitch fish, and rum-marinated steak. Dinner service on Tuesdays (seafood menu), on Wednesdays (Jamaican/Asian cuisine) and Saturdays (Jamaican menu).
The Polo Lounge is a polished mahogany bar with cushioned rattan chairs and chess tables, where dinner is served daily and a pianist entertains at the popular Friday social hour.
Guestrooms.
The Coyaba Beach Resort & Club's 50 guestrooms feature plantation-style décor and hand-carved mahogany furniture, floral fabrics, terra cotta tile floors and marble bathrooms. French doors open to large balconies or patios that contain two-chair dining sets. Guestrooms include in-room safes, cable television, telephones and coffeemakers, and select suites feature mini-refrigerators, sofa beds and seating areas.

The Vineyard - Open-air, linen-service restaurant and bar serving à la carte breakfast daily, à la carte dinners 5 nights weekly. Grape vines are painted on the ceiling, equipped with colonial-style, tropical fans. Decor also includes yellow walls, ochre columns, a tile floor, and potted plants. Dinner choices such as conch chowder, spicy crab cake, ginger beef filet, grilled tuna with papaya salsa, Cuban pork tenderloin. Menus change nightly.

Polo Lounge - Air-conditioned, second-floor bar and lounge. Tropical/English pub ambience with polished-mahogany bar. Dark green and burgundy walls, peaked wood ceiling, wood floor, and louvered windows. Cushioned rattan chairs. Chess tables. Dinner service daily, with choices such as salads, fish and chips, pizza, and sandwiches. A jazz band plays during the locally popular Friday Happy Hour.
Things to do
Entertainment, typically from Thursdays through Sundays, features local musicians playing piano or guitar and singing Caribbean songs.
Recreation
Coyaba Beach Resort & Club is located by a private white sand beach (with direct access from property). The hotel features a rectangular swimming pool and an elevated spa tub that can accommodate 10. A 91-meter (100-yard) crescent beach faces reef-protected water that is flat in most weather and features two floating rafts. The hotel provides beach and pool sun loungers. Use of kayaks, small sailboats, and snorkeling gear and daylight play on a lighted tennis court are complimentary for both All Inclusive and European Plan guests, as is a tennis clinic (daily except Sunday). A surcharge is assessed for tennis under the lights.
Four championship golf courses are located within a ten-minute drive from the hotel; preferred tee times are available.
