This hotel had a nice tranquil pool area with poolside showers and toilets and plenty of sunbeds available. There is no children's pool and the water,... even in the shallow end is quite deep thus making the hotel a haven for adults who want a quiet life. The breakfast offered a good variety of fruit, cereals, rolls, cooked meat and cheese For car-hirers the garage was a plus as parking is at a premium on the narrow winding roads. The hotel charges six euros per day. The hotel was in a good position between the lovely but expensive tourist mecca of Taormina with it's gorgeous shops, cafes, ancient Greek Theatre and shady public gardens and the traditional mountaintop village of Castelmola with it's pretty square and marvellous views. On the slightly negative side the decor in the room was a little dated particularly the bathroom where the shower was especially gloomy. The poolside bar area was also not open for snacks etc which was an opportunity missed as guests were going to the local shop for sandwiches to eat by the pool (we were staying there in June and maybe it would be open in the high season of July/August). I would not recommend this hotel to anyone with mobility difficulties due to the steepness of it's location. In summary this was a clean, comfortable value for money hotel with breathtaking views of Mount Etna, the coast, and the surrounding bougainvillea draped villages and deserving of it's three star rating. by Derrick P from East Sussex, UK. on 07/11/10
