"A lovely place"
For the price this is a great place to stay. My only criticism is that I stayed in a Bungalow and the water temperature wouldn't stay constant which made showering very difficult. There are cheaper places in the camping village to stay than the Bungalow but I didn't see it advertised on the site here. There are tents and you can stay in them by self […] or with others and that is cheaper or if you have your own tent they have really cheap sites. "just about perfect for us"
This place was great for our family of 5. We rented a chalet which came with two separate bedrooms, two baths and a kitchen. We had a great time. The staff was extremely helpful. The location was not bad. The bus stop was right outside the campground with a short ride to the metro. Getting into town was no problem. "A welcome change of pace"
Camping Village Roma was one of the best properties we stayed at the whole month we were in Europe. I am in my mid-50's and was traveling with my 18 yr. old son and a 23 yr. old member of the family. We all enjoyed our stay here. Although a ways "out of the way" from the sights everyone wants to see in Rome, it was a welcome change of pace to be away […] from the crowds, the noise and the concrete that is Rome. It felt like getting out into the country a bit even though the property is still very much in the city. The shared wall between units may be a bit thin, generally, it posed no particular problem. The grocery store on sight is very adequate but the grocery store across the street is excellent. The front office staff were very helpful. And even though there is a sign at check-in that says it is a cashless facility they just haven't taken the sign down. The designers of this facility have thought of most everything. Very cheap and good location. Opposite supermarket and bus stop right outside the gates. Bus 246 takes you straight to the city centre where you can get the metro. I stayed here for a week at Easter with my two sons (9 and 11). The chalet was basic, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The only slight disappointment was that the pool wasn't open when we stayed but the weather wasn't that great anyway. Although a little far from the centre of Rome, Camping Roma was a very nice place to stay. even if you are 40. Staff were very helpful and all spoke English. The tourist information provided on site was very helpful and sold tickets for the bus and metro as well as all the tourist sites. Bungalow very warm and cosy even in February with snow outside. spot on! got the 4 bed chalet upgrade for me and my daughter loads of room unless u are tall,(mind your head on the lampshade) had its own decking outside with a picnic bench, 2 en-suites so own bathroom each.the rest of the site was great, restaurant ciao bella was typical good italian food which had a takeaway menu. the pools and jacuzzi's were decent […] as well it would be a great place to stay in the summer lads holiday, girls hol or family hol. good location for vatican only 5 mins away in taxi, but if u have more time than i did get the bus or train around taxis so expensive. defo stay here again! Jeg fikk ett godt inntrykk av Camping Village Roma. Kjempefint område med en liten butikk, resurant/bar, basseng og fint uteområde. Jeg bodde i en bungalow, ikke akkurat luksus, men helt ok standard og ren. Stedet passer bra for både barnefamilier og backpackere. Det eneste som jeg følte trakk ned var beliggenheten, jeg var fullt klar over at det lå […] litt unna byen, men jeg fant det litt trøblete å komme seg til og fra byen, med bruk av kollektivtrafikken. Det gikk mange busser, men det er ikke alltid så lett å ta buss når man ikke er kjent. Ellers et supert og billig sted som jeg kan anbefale, jeg følte jeg fikk mye for pengene. кемпинг действительно очень уютный, многого ждать конечно не приходиться, все таки это кемпинг, а не отель. Кемпинг расположен очень удачно, рядом с автобусной остановкой, от которой ходит регулярно автобус, 7-10 мин. и вы у метро!!! так же с аэропорта Фьюмичино можно добраться до кемпинга на общественном транспорте автобус - cotral (останавливается […] около 3 терминала) за 3,9 евро и вы у входа в кемпинг. Домики убирают раз в три дня, есть горячая-холодная вода. Вот слышимость это конечно что-то, в соседнем номере ходят, весь домик сотрясается и кондиционер работает очень громко. Wir haben mit 3 Erwachsenen in einem Bungalow genannten Container auf diesem Campingplatz (der hauptsächlich aus diesen Bungalows besteht) übernachtet, natürlich minimal Platz, aber mit eigenem Bad und mit Klimaanlage alles, was man unbedingt braucht. Die Duschstange fiel von der Wand, wurde sofort repariert. Vor dem Bungalow kann man sein Auto parken […] und hat einen Holztisch mit Bank. Die Anbindung an die Stadt ist ok, vom Campingplatz organisiert gibt es stündlich einen Shuttlebus für zwei Euro hin und zurück zum Vatikan. Abends kann man mit einer öffentlichen Buslinie bis zum Campingplatz fahren, ging problemlos. Die Infrastruktur ist mit eigenem Supermarkt, Restaurant, Bar mit Billard, Waschmaschinen, Pool und 24h geöffneter Rezeption gut.
