The heart of Ancient Rome, all roads led to the Forum. Visitors flock here to walk the streets where Julius Caesar once trod when this was the centre of commercial, political and judicial life. Nearby, the Colosseum, described by Lord Byron as 'the gladiators' bloody circus', is the world's most famous amphitheatre and the most impressive of all Rome's buildings and ruins.

"An oasis"
Off the beaten path, which turned out to be quite nice. Quiet, clean, extremely friendly and helpful staff. My daughter and I spent a week here during the June 2012 heat wave. Couldn't ask for a nicer home away from home.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"wonderful stay"
we totally enjoyed our stay. the staff was pleasant, the rooms were clean and the hotel was near all of the sites in Rome.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Solid 4-star hotel, very spacious"
I stayed here for 5 nights with my wife in late May 2012. Considering some of the neighboring properties around Rome, the Palazzo is very competitively priced and I would say it's a good deal. We stayed in a deluxe room, as the pictures of the standard rooms look shoddy and dated. Overall, we were very satisfied. There is a ton of room in the suite […] that we had, and it was nice to have a kitchenette. The only downside was the 10-minute walk to the metro. Not a big deal, but it's a minor bother after walking a million miles all day touring the city. Breakfast (and the option to eat as late as 11) was great! Conclusion: I liked the hotel and the experience a lot. I would definitely recommend the hotel, but if I return, I'll try something different for variety. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

The room was large with high ceiling. Overall is very comfortable but I would comment that the bath tub in our appartment was the slimest that I have ever seen. The appartment does not have restaurant service but it has an arrangement with a nearby restaurant, which provides a 10% discount to hotel guests. The location is relatively quiet, but it is […] within walking distance from the tourist attractions and shopping belts. There is also a bus service 81 that goes to Vantican City. "charming."
The hotel is located in a tuck away corner with narrow road surrounding it which out taxi driver miraculously maneuvered thru. The service was great and efficient. We liked the fact that the Trastevere area is just across the area by walking across the canal and there are loads of traditional restaurants in charming alleys. The hotel is also close to […] the Ruins and coliseum. Ask the front desk for the short cut route. There are 3 restaurants and a Tabac store just behind the hotel if you are too tired to walk to Trastevere. There is also a market around the block which we did not get round to visiting. Should you visit the spanish steps, go to a restaurant Al 31 a few lanes away from the Prada shop. Food is sooo good. Traditional food and serves at 7pm sharp only. Was recommended by the Prada Sales ladies, haha. Had the Fried Artichoke and roasted Lamb. the seafood spaghetti looked good too. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"the best hidden secret in Rome"
There is nothing bad I can say about this place. The view we had was fantastic (I won't divulge the room number, as I don't want anyone else to grab it!) Nicolo at the desk could not have been more helpful, we loved him because he actually looked like he enjoyed his job. Great breakfast. 5 stars out of 5 !!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Worth considering"
Room good for family. Kitchen facilities minimal but adequate for quick pasta meal. Staff very friendly; complimentary breakfast excellent. Location is round back of forum; shortcut through Capitoline hill not obvious but helpful. Take metro to Circus maximus to save walk from termini; currently only 1 euro. Did not find many restaurants close by but […] Rome is fairly compact so not a problem. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Fabulous"
I have never written a hotel review before but felt compelled too because of a wonderful stay here. A serviced apartment that served a superb breakfast with great coffee!. The apartment was surprisingly large with all amenities. Whilst public transport was a bit of a walk to get to, this was not an issue as everything was pretty much within walking […] distance. Walking around the ruins and monuments of Rome at night was a highlight and surprisingly safe. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Just what we needed"
Stylish, comfortable, great location, friendly staff, good breakfast (included!). Spot on really. 5 mins to Circus Maximus, 10 mins to Coloseum and Forum. 10 mins walk (opposite direction) to Piazza Venezia (Wedding Cake), and then 10 mins to Trevi, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona etc. Hop on/off bus stop 5 mins walk, which is much better than the scrum […] at the Colosseum stops by the way. We had a room on the 5th (top) floor so I can imagine that road noise may be an issue with some apartments on the lower floors. If we were to find any gripes, it would be a) there is/was no kettle in the room, however there is a coffee pot and a small saucepan to boil water. We coped... b) You need to be 8ft tall to see over the wall of the "balcony" and see the views. The balcony is cut into the roof so its more of a terrace than a balcony. Again, we coped. Oh, and a nice bar at the top of the road for the "one before bedtime", which became a few actually. Sells Guinness too which is a bonus. Definitely recommended.

Genuine Expedia guest review
