Rome’s central train station, Termini is the entry point to the city from Fiumicino Airport, and is an impressive modern architectural sight. Between here and glamorous Via Veneto, there are several interesting places to visit. The Palazzo Barberini is a superb baroque palace, the Terme di Diocleziano was the city’s largest bath complex and the Church of Santa Maria della Concezione is remarkable for its Capuchin monks’ crypt.

We were staying in room 225. With the tram line right next to the hotel, it was very difficult for us to get to sleep because of the noise generated whenever a tram goes by. About one block from the main train station, which is good and bad. You won't have to lug your suitcase too far across Rome streets, but the train station itself is full of questionable individuals. Not much around the train station for tourists. The room (especially bathroom) was huge and clean. The complimentary breakfast was very good. We traveled through Europe for two and a half weeks (including eastern and central Europe), and the Una Hotel Roma was the only hotel on our trip that charged for wireless. My family and I stayed at this hotel at the beginning and end of our vacation in Italy. The location is great. It is within a couple of blocks of Termini train station. Even my 9 year old was able to walk to the hotel with her luggage without complaining! The hotel was modern and very clean. Also since we were both starting and ending our vacation in Rome, the hotel kept some of our luggage while we traveled throughout Italy. Our room was relatively small but clean and comfortable. We had an inside room and never heard a sound at night. The bath was modern and way above standards usually found in Europe, including a very large walk-in shower. A block from the main train terminal makes it very convenient. The hotel is 2 blocks from the main termini station which makes it a perfect location when arriving in Rome from the airport or sightseening using the metro system. "Everything Great But The Shower"
Beautiful hotel, great service, awesome breakfast buffett, could not ask for a more convenient location. The only thing wrong was the shower. Pretty to look at but you risked injury to life and limb everytime you used it. The bathtub was deep, had sloping sides and a narrow, slippery bottom. A partially moveable glass wall was all you had to hold on […] to (no grab bars, no non-skid mat). Very tricky to get in and out especially when the tub was wet. The faucets for the tub extended several inches from the side wall and I have the bruises to show that it was a hazard. The only way to reach the shower controls was to get in the tub and crouch under the ceiling mounted shower head which gave you a cold rinse everytime you turned on the shower. I think the hotel management should try using these showers a few times themsleves. Once your shower was done everything else was very nice. "Put UNA Rome on your shortlist"
We spent 14 nights at this hotel and could not have chosen better for our purposes. We rated the UNA highly on all features. The interior has classic clean but modern lines and the spacious and comfortable rooms are similarly decorated. All staff were brilliant. The food is excellent and the chef presents dinners exquisitely. WiFi in lobby/business […] area only and is a bit expensive but we were offered a special package including WiFi which we grabbed quickly. We were literally a couple of minutes walk to the Termini for trains, buses, trams, tour companies or hop-on hop-off buses which could take us anywhere we wanted to go. Many of the top Rome sights to see were within walking distance for those who prefer to travel that way. The Termini area is a much maligned area compared to some of the more romantically preferred locations. The facts are that It has plenty of positive features. Lots of shopping opportunities, eateries of all types, all transport and it comes without the high price premium of the other areas. Well done UNA. We would not hesitate to return.
