"NOT to recommend"
Ich war Mitte April 2012 in diesem Hotel. Das Doppelzimmer ist wahnsinnig eng, in der Dusche kann man sich kaum drehen, das Wasser tropft aus dem TOILETTENROHR und das Zimmer ist nicht gerade sauber. Noch dazu kann kaum jemand des Personals englisch. Das Hotel ist wirklicht NICHT zu empfehlen. Das Hotel verlangt einen immens zu hohen Preis für das, […] was es bietet. Lassen Sie sich nicht blenden, für diesen Preis finden Sie wirklich etwas wesentlich (!) besseres. Wir haben das Hotel nach einer Nacht gewechselt und kamen für wenige Euro mehr pro Nacht in ein 4-Sterne Hotel, welches ebenfalls gleich beim Kolosseum war. ------------------------------ I was in mid-April 2012 at this hotel. The double room is incredibly tight, in the shower you can't turn around, the water drips out of the TOILET PIPE and the room is not really clean. Moreover, almost anyone of the staff can speak English. The hotel is really NOT to recommend. The hotel has an immensely high price for what it offers. Do not be blind, for that price you really find something much (!) better. "In Rome, I cant advise.."
In Rome, the hotel was not good. Firstly, the address details was not enough, it was difficult for us finding the hotel. Second, it was like dormitory not hotel. Very small rooms.. Thats all.. Cleaning was not enough, the bathroom was always wet. Internet was not possible in our room. Positive Things; In late hour, check in was possible. "Very expensive for tiny room"
Merulana star is located in a fairly quiet part of Rome close to all transportation that can take you around. However, the price/value was not good. We paid a high price for a room fit for backpacking. The staff was very helpful but most Romans are actually. I can definitely not recommend staying here and I strongly urge anybody to shop around a little […] longer for a hotel. Merulana star is more similar to a very pricey hostel.
