The bathroom is so small your knees hit the wall in front of you when using the toilet. The bathroom was very moldy and the whole apartment was very damp and smelled of mildew. You could not use the shower for more than 30 seconds without it overflowing and flooding the bathroom, using up the few towels we had. We had a private patio which was nice, […] but again very damp and mildewy- I'm not sure they could do anything about that though. The hotel staff was friendly, and one of them spoke English. Nice location close to Vatican city, but not a very great hotel- we couldn't really control the thermostat either. We may be slightly jaded as we stayed here for a few days on our honeymoon, but we both agree we wouldn't return again. Read more

Typical european hotel. The room was small, but updated. Breakfast was complimentary, but definitely a little on the prepackaged side. We decided to take a shuttle from the airport instead of taking public transportation and thank god we did because we never would have found it without help! It's tucked away in an ally like street and has no sign other […] than on the buzzer by the door. The area is very nice, lots of little cafes and very centrally located (most of the big attractions are within walking distance if you don't mind a longer stroll). Something I thought was a little weird was the layout of the hotel. The lobby was up one level and our room was about 20 ft from the front desk. Just kind of close quarters if you ask me. The location of this hotel is excellent! We couldn't have asked for a better location that was central to many of the sites and attractions! Everything was 20 mins away by public transportation (the max!). The rooms are very small. The free breakfast is not very good quality. We stayed at the Imperium for our honeymoon. I don't think we could have been happier for the price. Simply put, there isn't a better hotel in that location for the price. The rooms are a little small, but the hotel is in an AMAZING location in Rome. We walked to Piazza Navona across the streets for dinner and drinks. Nice little hotel. Nice staff. Free breakfast and bottle of wine in room, free wifi. Clean rooms. Just a few blocks north of Piaza Navona on a small side street. (BTW, kind of hard to find, make sure you have a map. Our taxi driver couldn't find it). Small rooms, probably not great for big Americans or people with disabilities.

We are a couple, this hotel is great, it is right in the middle of all the sights (20 min walk to vatican, 30 min walk to colloseum (via other sights on way) and is close to loads of restaurants and bars/cafe's. The location of this hotel was great, but I did not think the website accurately portrayed the service that we received. First of all, the address is #4, not #19 as per the website. We had booked the "apartment" suite of this hotel. On the website it says there is a King and Sofabed. That is not quite true. There is a King bed, plus a single bed at […] the back of the unit, and no sofabed. The apartment is on the ground floor, so at night you hear the voices of all the people eating outside at the restaurant beside this "hotel". So earplugs are a must. The King bed is suspended on a platform from chains on the wall. So the "upstairs" is quite short, and you must duck on the "upper" level or you will hit your head on the ceiling beams (I'm 5'1"). The King mattress is also extrememly uncomfortable, it is like sleeping on a trampoline and you will feel every movement of whomever is sleeping beside you. There is also no ventilation in the unit, so everything is damp, even any papers that you leave on the table, but you cannot leave the windows open because the suite is at street level and there is a restaurant patio right outside the windows. So although the location is great, I feel that we were not exactly delivered what we were expecting from the website, which is my reason for the lower rating. Read more

Imperium Suite Navona is a small place, and yes it is hard to find, but they offer a car service that will collect you from the airport for 50 euro, considering the distance to the place from the hotel we thought this was about right.
