Even though the hotels.com description said there would be a bathtub and ceiling fan, they were not there. The room was warm and I couldn't control the AC and since the room faced a very busy street, I couldn't open the window at night so the ceiling fan would have been nice. Other than that, a nice stay.

The location was a bit difficult to find but once located it was found to be in a very nice area, with lots of good restaurants and shops. It is walking distance to many of the attractions and a bus stop is right around the corner. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was typical for Italy in this price range.

Residenza Domizia was in the perfect location for my stay - close to all the things I wanted to see and do. They handled my late arrival easily, and the staff were always pleasant and helpful. The bed was a bit on the old side, but really, after walking Rome for 12 hours or so, I barely noticed.

First of all, these people were AMAZING! They spent hours helping us get our lost luggage from Alitalia. They went out of their way EVERYTIME we needed help. Thomas and Vido were so helpful, patient and cared about our problems. The location was so great. Everyone seemed to know the 'street of antiquities'. We took a taxi from the airport to the hotel which is located on a side street near the Piazza Navona in the old part of Rome. There was no sign for the hotel, just a name next to a buzzer on an apartment building tenant listing. It took us a while to figure out where it was. Once we were let in, we were notified that there was no hot water and we were being transferred to another of their properties- The Guest House. A taxi was called. Once at the new property, we had the same problem locating the "hotel". No one came to the gate. After searching, a lady came out and told us where it was.. It was down a long narrow stairwell. No help was offered to get our bags down the stairs. Once inside, the room was very clean and quite. However, the front desk was only occupied on a part time basis. We were given a set on keys but they did not open all the entry doors. There was a code to the three doors to enter the place but we were not given the code nor slips for the complementary breakfast. We could not get into the building that night and had to wait for another guest to arrive to unlock the doors. Although I am a highly experienced world traveler, I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for even the most basic services. Too many hassles. Read more

I chose this hotel, or guest house as it is called, for the location. It is about a 15 minute walk to the Vatican, 10 minute walk to the Panththeon and 20 minute to the Trevi Foutain. Overall the room was nice and clean. I stayed 3 nights and the first night a fuse blew in the middle of the night and I had no lights in my room and no one is at the front […] desk during the night. The room had windows but very little light came in and it was a little difficult trying to get ready in the morning. The next morning I did tell the front desk about it and when I came back later that evening it was repaired. The third night when our room was cleaned no bathroom tissue was left at all and again no one was at the front desk. The TV never worked the entire time we were there but that was not an issue for us. The neighborhood was quaint and a taxi station was only a few minute walk. The front desk guy let me use his computer with the printer so I could buy tickets to a museum which was helpful. Read more

The main reason to stay here is the location - it's in the middle of the Centro Storico, only a few minute's walk from St. Peter's, the Pantheon, Trevi, and many other central historic sites. The apartment itself was clean and well-sized for central Rome. The guest house was in a great location, in a quiet little street which cars aren't allowed to go in. It took about 10 minutes to get from Termini train station(about 10 euro in a taxi). I was originally booked to stay at Residenzia Domizia near Piazza Navona but when I arrived they had plumbing issues. They cabbed me to another one of their hotels on Via Gregoriana at the top of the Spanish Steps. What a gem! I left an item in the room and the staff was most helpful in getting it back to me after we left. I preferred having the coupon for breakfast at the Cafe next door to having breakfast in the hotel. We were able to experience more of the local culture each morning than simply dining with other tourists. After reading the reviews of this hotel we decided to give it a try. This is the most ideal location to stay in Rome. Literally 1 minute from the Piazza Navona and walking distance to every point in ancient Rome. It's not your typical large hotel - no amenities. From the outside it appears like a residential apartment and once you get to the second […] floor you enter what appears to be an apartment but is instead the entrance to the lobby and other rooms. Each room has a name instead of a number - we stayed in the appropriately named "Piazza Navona". The room was very clean, spacious and charming - completely unexpected for the very reasonable price we paid. Our room overlooked a quiet side street and had 2 large windows with a Juliet style balcony. It was very quiet at night. The rooms are wired for internet access so bring an Ethernet cable with you - I was not able to catch a wireless signal but the wired worked perfectly and was free. There was no in-room safe but they did have a small fridge which was nice. They also have another building with additional rooms across the street, which is where breakfast is served - your basic croissants, cereal and coffee - nothing fancy but nice to have nevertheless. If you happen to get a room here, you will likely hear some noise during breakfast hours - if you are up by 8am then it shouldn’t be an issue, but if you are a late sleeper then try getting a room in the main building. Otherwise we really loved the place and would stay here again. If you need only a room for few days then you can't go wrong. Read more

We kwamen savonds aan bij dit guesthouse, en aangezien er dan niemand van het hotel aanwezig zou zijn hadden we instructies gekregen hoe we binnen moesten komen. Een code voor de voordeur, en de kamersleutel was binnen achter gelaten. Dit werkte prima, en hierdoor voelde het meer alsof we er 'woonden' dan een hotel binnen gingen. De kamer zelf was […] ook super. Heel netjes en opgeruimd en eigenlijk best ruim. Zeker voldoende! Al leken de bedden hard, we hebben iedere nacht super geslapen. Alleen de gordijnen zijn heel dun dus een slaapmasker is aan te raden. De locatie van het hotel was nog wel het beste. In een fantastisch en best romantisch straatje met o.a. een supermarkt, cafetjes, en veel leuke winkeltjes. Verder dicht bij alle bezienswaardigheden, hierdoor hebben we veel kunnen zien en alles te voet. Ik zou hier zeker terug naartoe gaan!!! Read more

Soyez avisés, il y a 2 résidences Domizia. La première tout juste en haut de la Piazza di Spagna (sur Via Gregoriana), c'est là qu'il faut aller. Primeira vez em Roma, fomosmuito bem recebidos na Residenza Domizia-Guest House. Tomamos conhecimento no momento do check-in que nosso apartamento não se localizava no mesmo prédio da recepção, e fomos direcionados para outro nº da Via dei Coricini, onde nos acomodamos em um quarto amplo e banheiro também espaçoso, com uma grande banheira e chuveiro […] excelente. Quarto (Mini Suite) em perfeito estado de limpeza e conservação, com split e frigobar. Não há cofre no apartamento, mas a segurança é perfeita. O local é maravilhoso: há 100m de distãncia da Piazza Navona, numa rua estreita, bem iluminada e segura. Muitos antiquários ao longo da Via, pequenas lojas e uma sorveteria magnífica bem próximos ao hotel. Daí é possível ir a pé ao Vaticano, Fontana de Trevi e Coliseu. O único incômodo é que para tomar o café da manhã ( incluído na diária) é necessário sair do apartamento e andar algumas quadras, porque o mesmo é disponibilizado em cafeterias da região. No mais, adoramos o hotel, a equipe da recepção e da limpeza, bem como as camas muito confortáveis. Certamente voltaremos à Residenza Domizia. Read more

Ich habe trotz Anlaufschwierigkeiten meinen Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Rezeption ist leider nicht durchgängig besetzt, was es etwas schwieriger macht, wenn man erst spät abends ankommt, aber der Service ist dennoch sehr gut und auch sehr freundlich.

Det var inte helt enkelt att hitta stället - skylten med hotellets namn är liten och trappuppgången ser ut som ett vanligt bostadshus. "Hotellet" består av tre fd lägenheter i olika hus med gemensam reception. Vårt rum var beläget på huvudadressen.Rummet var nyrenoverat och mycket charmigt, stort badrum, AC, TV - alltid rent. Läget är perfekt. Gatan […] utanför är praktiskt taget blilfri och det finns mängder av mysiga restauranger i närheten. Italiensk frukost (kaffe croisant juice) ingår och serveras på en bar en bit bort från hotellet. Rekommenderas inte får småbarnsfamiljer eller rörelsehindrade eftersom trapporna är branta och ingen hiss finns. Vi är mycket nöjda och kan tänka oss att bo där igen. Read more

Las fotos publicadas son de uno de los 3 sitios en donde uno puede hospedarse según la disponiblidad. Otro problema es que cuando uno va a registrarse lo hace en la sede central y puede ser que su habitación esté aproximadamente a 300 metros de ese lugar con el inconveniente del traslado del equipage. Otro problema que en la sede cercana al Castel SantÁngelo […] casi no hay espacio para guardar el equipage cuando uno desea hacerlo cuando hace el checkout y tampoco disponen de un baño. Read more
