Room was super small. We needed to stay an extra night. We were told OK the night before, then woke up in the morning and we were told sorry cant do it.

I booked a penthouse for four (with three beds) and we were given two room causing one of us to use the sofa beds. It was a major inconvenience. The bathroom in one of the apartment was super small - even in European standards! We did not have hot water for some time because of the water heater issues and we had to remind the front desk more than twice. […] We needed some assistance from the room service one evening and there was no one available, the receptionist at the front desk flatly refused to attend it saying he cannot leave the front desk and there is no one else was available. The Wifi is very very slow (we were on the 5th floor). Most of the electric appliances (TC, microwave etc) are kept disconnected. You have to plug them in. You may have to request an extension cord to plug them in too. The rooms are kept clean. AC was working fine. There was enough space in the living room. Read more

I booked this room based on the rave reviews from prior guests and the decent price for a quad room in Rome. The elevator was broken making it difficult to maneuver heavy luggage up the narrow stone stairwell. While my family of 4 (including 3 adults and 1 teen) did not mind sleeping in the bunk beds, we were extremely uncomfortable with the faulty […] air-conditioning which kept the room sweltering hot. We reported the problem, but got the impression that they knew about it already just like the no free internet in room. My college son had to submit online assignments during his vacation. H was able to go into the lobby which was the only place that the internet did work. However the lobby was filthy and dark with no furniture and resembled a construction zone, so he sat on a step and managed to submit his assignments using this extremely slow internet. We opened the windows (since it was cooler outside than inside), only to get a nice view of the nearby neighbors behind us looking out their windows down at us, I was appalled to see a tiny black bug crawling up the wall next to me while in bed. I later had a rash on my legs. It was a spacious apartment which included a full kitchen, but the overall appearance was dingy. The customer service was poor. When the only light bulb went out on the 20+ foot bedroom ceiling, they handed us a light bulb which we had to replace ourselves using the tall ladder we found in the kitchen after almost falling from top bunk to reach it. Very good location close to Vatican City but the hotel was more like a dormitory than a hotel room. Very loud and our family all slept in bunk beds that completely filled the room.

The room was entirely too small; we could have dealt with that, but we were located immediately above the parking lot, and experienced noise all night involving late night party goers, arrivals, and departures. Since the parking lot is also a smoking area we had the benefit of breathing smoke for our entire two night stay. Not impressed with the room, […] but the staff were helpful. Read more

Convenient to the Vatican but would be a long walk to most other attractions. Would be better staying nearer the city. Also found the choices for resturants very repetitive. The hotel had a small reception area, not enough staff (only two) to cope with requirements. After check-in shown to back door and lift and left to own devices to find floor and […] room. An extremely im-personal experience. Room, which was supposed to be a superior room, was very small with barely enough space arround the bed to move. The bedside table had to be moved to open drawers in the wardrobe. Likewise the kitchen and bathroom were very small. Had to pay to have linen changed before four days. Room safe was supplied on request, but was merely placed on the floor. Could not get it to lock anyway. Read more

+kitchenette +rather clean +close to the metro and the vatican - small rooms - bad ventilation, -smellt like moisture -no real window in the room. -Not romantic -rather expensive for what you get
