I expected a little more than what we got. Beds are quite old, unconfortable and too soft. Air conditioning was not working for cooling, only for heating, so to refresh the room we opened the big window, which allowed all the street noise to enter even easier. A metro station is conveniently located across the street, and the Coliseum is very close. Nice hotel. Comfortable rooms. They were doing some minor maintenance (replacing carpet) during our stay, but they were very nice amount it. However, they were having some issues with the internet during my stay as well. Hopefully it is resolved by now.

Hotel is perfect place to stay in Rome! Very convenient to move around the city because Metro-Manzoni station is just across the street. Close to restaurants, bar(coffee/gelato) stores, even japanese restaurant , which is not easy to find in Rome is just a block away. Walking distance to colosseo and forum. This was our second stay at the Hotel Milton Roma. It is small and very clean. The breakfast buffet is wonderful with a huge variety of fruits, cereal, yogurt, etc. It is within walking distance of the Coliseum and the Forum. The subway is on the opposite corner. We plan to stay there again on our next trip!!

Negatives: The rooms were small and the staff was rude. Positives: It was clean, had a reasonable price and about 40 feet from the metro entrance. Also, it's only about an 8 minute metro ride from Roma Termini to the hotel. Be aware that the vague information listed on Expedia's site for Hotel Milton's more detailed info regarding the 3 EU per person, […] per night city tax is not correct. I originally called Expedia to clarify and was told that it was already covered. However, the hotel management disagreed about the fee, so we both called Expedia yet again to confirm whether the tax had been paid. During this call, they then switched and said that it was not covered. Be aware that this city tax is not covered by the taxes already paid to Expedia and will be collected on site by the hotel. It took us a couple hours to find a hotel on foot from the bus station, so bring a detailed street map especially if you don't know any italian. I would recommend getting a taxi especially on hot days when you don't wanna walk very far looking for a hotel. if you are flying w Ryanair and they sell you a round trip bus ticket, make sure you have a map […] or location of pick up to return to the airport since there are multiple bus companies on different time schedules. We recently went to Rome for our 10th wedding anniversary and searched Expedia for hotel reviews. It was our first time in Italy. Suffice to say, we really enjoyed this hotel. The breakfast buffet was amazing and the staff VERY helpful in answering our questions. We would definitely come back to this hotel on our next visit.

Located in a not so nice part of town, graffiti, loud motorcycles. A 15 minute walk to coliseum. Metro just across street. Breakfast buffet was average. The rooms are small, air cond is rated very low. The shower has only a 1/2 partition on bath so it makes it uncomfortable and messy to shower.

The hotel was very easy to locate just opposite the metro station. Check in was quick and although the guest service agent nice she didn't explain anything to us and was anxious to get rid of us. Overall we had a good experience. The hotel was across from the Manzoni train station so it was really accessible. We had a slight issue with the sink clogging up and no one knowing how to fix it, but other than that it was a pleasant stay.

Location is 5+! Right by the subway stop Monzoni. So convenient to buy the multi day metro/bus pass. Bkft was wonderful- scrambled eggs, all kinds of breads and pastries, and fresh fruit galore. The safe in the room was not big enough for a laptop so I left it with the desk everyday. The front desk staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. Milton Roma offered excellent free breakfast options and service. The downsides of the Hotel are that it is removed from all the heart of the city Roman sites/restaurants and the noise from the intersection that the hotel sits on was quite annoying.

The hotel is located about 3/4 mile from the Coliseum. The neighborhood is good and not too close to the rougher area by the main train station. My room was very loud at night due to the train and the subway beneath. It was nice they served breakfast. It was almost a 3 start hotel by US standards. It was not worth the price that I paid.

American travelers not used to tiny rooms, beds, and bathrooms might be put off but it was pretty standard for my trips outside the US. My only complaint would be the shower which was small, had just a hand sprayer, and the shower curtain didn't even reach the bottom of the shower. Even after getting over that water was going to get everywhere (which the house service would clean up), having to use one hand to constantly hold the sprayer made it awkward to use.
