Good price, good location, great service. What else can you ask for ? This hotel is situated in a quiet ( but not remote ) part of Rome, near the Termini train station. But there are still a lot of restaurants and stores in the area.The staff were very friendly, ready to assist in any requirement that you may have ( from getting directions, Rome information […] and getting a taxi ) . The rooms were very clean and well heated. Breakfast is good and the breakfast attendants were very attentive and helpful. And most importantly, it is not expensive. Termini is just a 3-5 minute walk from the hotel, and from there you can access the Metro to go see the sights of Rome and then there are the trains to reach all of Italy or Europe. From Termini, we were able to reach Venice via the TrenItalia Frecciargento Bullet Train, we took the first train (0655 AM) and we arrived in Venice by (1030), spent a whole day in Venice and took the return train the same day for an 1100 PM arrival back to Termini and were back in our warm hotel beds in 5 minutes. The hotel is tucked away on a small quiet street ,yet just 1 block from the main train depot in Rome. We were given a large comfortable room, (though the mattress was quite hard) with a huge balcony to enjoy our morning coffee. Easy access to the train station, however, walking home late at night near the train station each night was a little sketchy! Three person room was a bit of a squeeze but didn't spend much time there. Also easy access to the tour buses!

That makes it convenient taking the metro/bus, but it also makes it quite a ways away from any of the major sites (most sites), so you won't be walking to any. Outstanding helpful service, free internet, nice location near the train station. We could easily walk the 1 1/2 blocks from our train to the hotel, and enjoyed the cultural and cost saving use of the metro. Our triple room (3 beds) was rather cramped with a view of the walls of other building. Yet we were happy to each have our own beds.

The room was nice without being amazing. The air conditioner didn't work properly and the room got really really hot. This is a typical four star hotel in a big European city, so one knows already what to expect. But what really separates this hotel from others is its impeccable service. The reception were very professional, very helpful, from arranging tours, recommending a restaurant, giving directions in locating a street: nothing is too difficult for them. The breakfast is ample, and the staff in the restaurant really knows how to make their clients feel at home. They will make you coffee, as you like it. They will ask you if you want another cup. (Other hotels in Italy should learn from them, this is what we call service!) WARNING! Always use taxis with meters whether at the airport or in the city. I cannot emphasize this enough. I cannot believe that after 40 years of travelling, I will become a victim of a dishonest taxi driver. I was tired after my flight was cancelled due to snow at the airport. We encountered a small issue at this hotel when our booked room was unavailable at check-in on our first day due to air-conditioning problems. We were moved to another hotel close by, and our transport via taxi was paid for and everything was done to ensure minimum inconvenience to us. Stayed at the Diocleziano for 3 nights in March on my first trip to Rome. As a seasoned traveller I'm very used to everything from Luxury 5 Star through to Travel Lodges & found this hotel to be an extremely pleasant 3 Star plus operation. The only thing holding it back in my mind would be the size of it's communal areas. Extremely pleasant, helpful […] staff & faultless cleanliness. A small bar with sensible prices for a city centre (4 euros for a beer). Not the largest bedrooms in the world but more than adequate with a good size double bed. Also a good size bathroom with shower. An excellent buffet breakfast featuring both hot & cold food whilst the room itself has tea & coffee facilities. FOC daily relenished water, cola & orange juice an unexpected but very welcome bonus. Superb location just 200 metres from the main Termini station (the best & easiest way to get to & from Rome's international airport) with all of the City's attractions such as The Colleseum, Vatican etc a walkable distance away or alternatively just 400 metres from an easily understood Tube system if preferred. Väldigt trevlig och tillmötesgående personal. Rummen var ok, men sängarna hårda. Vi får dock skylla oss själva, för när vi sa till (efter två nätter...) så fixade dom en bäddmadrass utan problem. Läget på hotellet är perfekt. Nära Termini, men ändå på en lugn sidogata. Bra frukost!

Gångavstånd till allt, både nära Termini och Metron om man inte vill gå överallt. Hotellet var frächt och fint, frukosten utmärkt, både WIFI och frukost ingick i priset. Fint, rent rum med TV och dusch / bubbelbad. Mycket prisvärt med trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Husen och gatorna runt hotellet höll inte riktigt samma standard.
