Rome’s central train station, Termini is the entry point to the city from Fiumicino Airport, and is an impressive modern architectural sight. Between here and glamorous Via Veneto, there are several interesting places to visit. The Palazzo Barberini is a superb baroque palace, the Terme di Diocleziano was the city’s largest bath complex and the Church of Santa Maria della Concezione is remarkable for its Capuchin monks’ crypt.

"Being honest and fair....I wouldn't do it again..."
First I would like to start off with the shuttle reservation that I had made with the Hotel Selene was a complete mess. I had specifically explained to the hotel that we needed a vehicle that would accomodate 4 people who each had a regular sized luggage, a carry-on and a purse. Hotel Selene picked us up in a regular four door sedan. We had spent about […] 20 minutes trying to figure out how we are going to get all our luggage in that unsuitable car. We finally had that sorted out and squeezed everything, including ourselves in the 4 door mercedes. Upon our arrival at Hotel Selene, we were greeted by Lorenzo, a seriously rude, ill-tempered, ill-mannered, and unpresentable receptionist. Our encounter with Lorenzo truly dampned our feeling towards Hotel Selene. However, the other receptionists and other staff were very delightful. The hotel entrance is unattractive and old. There is no lobby. NOTE: THIS HOTEL IS SHARED WITH ANOTHER HOTEL and also contains actual residents. The breakfast was horrible. The quality of the food was poor and wasn't fresh. The breakfast room is so small that you could only whisper if you didn't want everyone to hear your conversation. You also need a key to enter your hallway in which your room is in, which is truly a pain, especially if you're traveling with others. Like if I wanted to go to my friends room, I would have to call them first so they can open the hallway door for me. My key didn't work on their hallway door. It was such an inconvenience. The rooms were clean and so were the bathrooms. The location of the hotel was perfect. It was in a quite area, located buy the Coliseum and the Terminal. Lorenzo made this Hotel 10 times worse than it truly was. He truly left a sour taste in our mouth. Overall the hotel was good, especially for the price. Its in a great location and is very convenient to public transportation (Central train station, metro and buses) and for site seeing. O hotel está super bem localizado (próximo à estação Termini, da saída de vários ônibus e do metrô), fato que facilita, e muito, o deslocamento pela cidade, além de ser possível caminhar tranquilamente a vários pontos turísticos. Quando chegamos, a recepção estava fechada para reforma e se encontrava no terceiro andar, local onde estão os quartos e […] o salão do café-da-manhã, então tivemos que subir uns quatro ou cinco degraus com as malas até chegarmos ao elevador, mas nada que prejudique a avaliação do hotel. O quarto era grande e limpo (banheiro pequeno, mas tranquilo), os funcionários foram muito educados e nos auxiliaram quando precisamos e o hotel era super silencioso (apesar de termos ficado em quarto próximo ao local onde é servido o café, não tivemos qualquer interferência...nem de quartos vizinhos).
