"Many issues made it a poor experience..."
Here are the reasons for the star rating: - Our room was in the annex which was 3 blocks from the main hotel. This meant we had to walk to the main hotel or happy hour and to take advantage of the rooftop deck. This small hotel has the best location for designer shopping and closest to the Spanish Steps. They provide a very nice breakfast each morning. Our room was a superior double, small by American standars but a normal European. Nicely furnished, large bath and comfortable bedding. The staff were all terrific and always helpful. Be aware that the management may place you in a property further down the street from where you check in but this is no big issue as the other property gives you a secure apartment style living with your own keys to the front door , elevator up to the third flood and a beautifilly furnished foyer . The location is absolutely prime, right next to the Spanish Steps and in the middle of the shopping district, with all the major sights within easy walking distance. The rooftop bar where breakfast and a complimentary afternoon tea are served has a stunning view over the rooftops of Rome.
