My only problem with the room was that there was a faint (sometimes stronger) sewer smell in the room. It wasn't due to cleanliness, as the room and bathroom were spotless. This hotel was rated 4 stars. Not a chance! Location is good, walking distance to Collisseum, the tomb of V. Emanuel and Trevi Fountn, with quaint streets and typical Italian restaurants nearby. Hotel itself, however, would be rated 2 Stars in the US. It is over-priced, even for Rome. The building is old and appears to be converted apartment. Lobby […] is unimpressive and reception area tiny. The restaurant is expensive, dark, no windows and completely unimpressive. Rooms are fairly good size and clean, with modern bathroom but the worst shower I have seen in twenty years. It has a half-size glass 'curtain' that inevitably results in water all over bathroom floor. Placement of European-style shower makes it virtually impossible to stand under without contorting your body like a circus performer. The staff, with sole exception of the bellman, was totally disinterested andunhelpful. Every time we asked for assistance, for whatever reason, it was impossible. Despite the fact we were arriving at the hotel at 10:30 am from overnight flight, were exhausted and had made arrangements 3 months in advance to get into our room early, they found it impossible and made us wait, with young daughter, until 2 pm. And they don't exchange dollars. When I tried to exchange 20 dollars so I had some money for tips, they told me they did not exchange dollars and directed me two blocks away. What kind of 4 star intl hotel doesn't exchange $ ? Stay far away from this place! Read more

We stayed five nights in this hotel. We are happy with the service. The hotel location is very near most of the tourist sites in Rome. There are a grocery store across the street of this hotel and many good restaurants and bakery next door. The staffs were very helpful and polite. They helped us book restaurant reservations and showed us which buses […] to take. The Via Nazional is full with restaurants and expensive shops. The hotel also not too close nor too far from a train station. It only costs ten euros for a taxi fare from the train to the hotel. The hotel restaurant is good . I thought the Hotel was a great value for the rate I got through Hotel.com. Easy walk from Termini, plus gets you out of some of those shaddier areas directly surrounding the train station, and closer to the big items of the city center. Staff was really pleasant while we were there. Overall a great experience.

The room was small compared to the hotels we stayed at in Venice and Florence but it was clean and comfortable. Air confitioning is on everywhere including the lobby and hallways. Continental breakfast was decent. Free wifi. Location is convenient: Bus stop right in front of the hotel and metro is a 5-min walk away.

My wife and myself stayed at this hotel for 4 nights at the of May. The location of hotel is perfect fot touring around Rome w/o use of any transportation. We used metro once to get to Vatican but walked back through various sites. We got a renovated room (533) at the end of 5 floor in right wing. There is no connection between the wings so each wing […] gets one elevator though fast enough. On the way to our room there are few steps along the corridor so you have to lift the luggage. I believe that the hotel could arrange some ramp to solve the problem. The size of room was big enough for two people but no more than that. After reviewing a floor map we discovered that there are bigger and smaller rooms. There was a shower cabin in our bathroom instead of tub but it was OK with us as the cabin was big enough for two. Many other rooms have tubs so if it is an issue for you remind to demand it during the reservation. Though the room was renovated there were scratches and broken edges on the furniture which should be taken care by 4 star hotel, IMO. We found that the bed and the pillows were not comfortable for us and did not gave us a good night sleep.The walls are not sound proof which we found out on our 3 night. The biggest problem was the smell of sewage in the bathroom. We asked the receptionist to solve the problem. But her body language let us understand that they very well aware to the problem and though they promised to send maintenance guy, it will not help Read more

Fantastic location, within walking distance to many of the famous attractions. The A/C in the room was not working but did not make a difference at the time as the weather was beautiful. The mattress itself was stiff, and you can actually feel each spring when you're lying on it.
