We loved the hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. The surrounding neighborhood was great. It is full of wonderful restaurants for low prices, we highly recommend "44". The hotel staff was very friendly. It is within walking distances to the Spanish Steps, the Termini Station, and other metro stops.

Physically the accomodations were excellent. Even though the folks at the front desk answered our questons they often made us feel like they couldn't wait to be done with us. great start to a visit to Rome. and their breakfast buffet started each day off beatifully - cereals, breads, fruit, endless coffee, and pateries. they provided a computer with internet at no charge in the lobby Staff was excelllent, location is in a quiet enclave but close to what you need. Upon checking in the man at the front desk asked my name and how many nights we were staying. He then proceeded to tell us the internet wasn't working and we needed to walk a block to your other hotel. What? We told him that we booked 4 months ahead for this hotel and did not want to go to another hotel. He responded by telling us it would be a suite. the bed is the worst bed I have ever layed on. we changed our room 3 times to find a decent mattress. the hotel staff is not too friendly. this hotel is FARRR away from anything exciting in Rome. you cannot get anywhere on foot. Pas on this hotel, and it doesnt deserve 5 starts!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with no problems. Staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. Rooms are a good size with a lovely large bathroom. I would certainly recommend this hotel. There are plenty nice restaurants nearby and it is only a 10 minute walk to some of the main attractions. If you don't fancy the walk, the buses stop just around the corner and you can travel for only 1 euro each. I think that some people who have left poor reviews have obviously not read the details about the hotel before staying there. Booking a hotel depends on what you personally want to use your hotel for. If you are going to be out exploring Rome all day long - what is the point of having a nice view from your room? Read the details first before booking your hotel to make sure the hotel fits your expectations - don't blame the hotel for its location etc when you can read about these details online before you book! The location was ideal for us as we had stayed in this area before and know it well. There are lots of good restaurants and a lovely irish bar nearby. The room was a generous size , very clean and comfortable. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. They had a selection of bread, cakes and pastries, […] cold meat, fruit, cheeses, yoghurt, juices, and cereals. This was served with your choice of tea, coffee, capuccino or hot chocolate. Just returned from Rome on our first visit, and this Hotel situated within a 10 euro taxi ride of Termini Station. All stff spoke very good English, and were accomodating throughout our stay. Any enquiries at Reception, they would check on attractions/ tours/ travel immediately. Beds were not as bad as i imagined from previous posts, and very spacious […] in the Superior double room. Rooms were cleaned daily after we left for sightseeing. Downside was my frustration at not being able to connect my laptop to their WI-FI (that's more my fault really) as they only have the 1 computer, which is to be fair generally free. Although Hotel was nearly fullybooked from Receptions explanation, it never looked very busy around the place, quiet at most times really, other than at breakfast around 9-10.30. Breakfast staff very friendly and helpful, as was barman who supplied Ice to my wife on a few occasions. Downside was very little social lounge area to relax upstairs, as this seemed deserted with lights switched off in evenings. Reception lounge appeared and felt too obtrusive to relax, as main route to bar/restaurant. Also as weather was 30 degrees + there was no garden area/ patio to relax, as we were informed only the suite on the top had rooftop terrace. Local restaurants friendly and average prices, with suitable vegetarian dishes for us both (Try Rugerio Butero a few streets away! & Della Soffina on the main road- great service and most wonderful almond& pistachio desert! ) Overall would have expected a better facility for a 4 star hotel. And we were both prepared to walk to main attraction each day, with Barberini/Trevi 20 mins away & pantheon/colsseum 35 mins walk away. Read more

Overall, the hotel is perfectly fine: although the hotel looks like it's coming straight from the 80's, the staff is VERY friendly, helpfuland AVAILABLE. The room is comfortable and clean. The location is not as central as we thought i\t was going to be, however it is 10 min to the Spanish steps and only 5 minutes to Bus 64 that leads to all main attractions. […] so in the end it is fine. The only down from this hotel is the breakfast: Very basic, no eggs included in the regular breakfast (extra charge). OVERALL, the hotel was realy fine and we would certainly consider it for a future trip to Beautiful Rome! Wir waren mit diesem Hotel sehr zufrieden. Freundliche Bedienung des gesamten Personals. Recht gutes Frühstückbuffet. Die Lage des Hotel erlaubt die Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuss zu erreichen wie auch den Bus&Zugterminal von Rome. Unser nächster Aufenthalt in Rome wird wiederum im Roma and Cagill sein.

Vi var veldig fornøyd med dette hotellet. De hadde pene rom, og veldig pen lobby. Vi hadde et stort rom med et stort bad, og aircondition var bra. Beliggenheten er i et rolig område med mange andre pene bygninger (mange regjerings- og departementsbygninger). Utrolig bra gelato-sted rett rundt hjørnet: Il Caruso. Alle de lokale spiste is der, og vi prøvde […] den også. Meget godt. Dørvakten var flink og hjalp oss med døra og koffertene våre. Hvis man ikke er dårlig til beins er det absolutt mulig å gå til alle severdighetene fra hotellet. Det gjorde vi ihvertfall, og så tok vi taxi hjem. Read more

Good room. Clean and quite roomy, probably 40 sqm or so. Nothing spectacular, but definitely recommendable. Breakfast was mediocre: no boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausages, et.c. Just the basic stuff: milk, bread, butter, ham, cheese, coffee tea, cereals, some fruit and crackers. Everyone in the staff spoke english, which was above my expectations. Friendly […] staff. Ett mycket fråscht hotell med bra service. Goda kommunikationer i närheten av hotellet för att ta sig till de flesta sevärdheter. Bra frukostbuffé där det fanns det mesta. Hjälpsam personal i receptionen. Vi rekommenderar varmt detta hotell.
