The hotel staff was very helpful. The location was great- near to a subway stop so that you could move about Rome easily. The breakfast was great. Clean room. The shower was small, hard to move around but that was the only fault I could find. Great value.

While there is really nothing of interest right near the hotel, you literally couldn't get any closer to a metro/subway stop. The Napoleon meets its four-star rating, and then some. Everything was as we expected, and the personnel were helpful. They also are reasonably multi-lingual. In terms of the neighborhood, it needs a general clean-up. The piazza (park and plaza) is full of trash and graffiti. We stayed for 2 nights. Excellent hotel staff. The room was comfortable and clean with a large bath. Breakfast was of high quality and had a broad selection. The hotel is within 100 feet of the Rome Rome A Line Vittorio Emanuele stop and approximately a 15 minute walk to the Colisseum. We would definitely stay again.

I cannot say enough kind words of praise for this hotel. All of the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful; the concierge service is great and they go out of their way for the guests. This is our second time staying at this hotel. It is very convient to the Colisum and the sites around there as well as on the metro. The staff is the most helpful of just about any hotel we have ever stayed at. When we go to Rome again, we will stay here.

The outstanding: The staff: without exception, all the staff went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as possible. They gave us great info on how to go places, and were always willing to help. The very good: The location is right in the center of Rome, walking distance to the Colosseum, and the Vitorriano monument (though that's a longer […] walk). The metro is easy to use, and is right outside the door. There is a park across the street, that while I wouldn't hang out there late at night, was nice during the day. Also a very good breakfast buffet that goes from 0700 to 1000. The good: Adequate internet access, although upload was a bit slow. There are two computers in the lobby for guest use if you don't bring your own laptops, but they're usually in use, especially by kids. The fair: Room size was pretty small, but I knew that going in, so I don't mark down for that. Also, the shower temperature seemed to fluctuate quite a bit, without my touching anything. The bad: nothing. I came with my wife and daughter, and we all loved the hotel. We had heard from other reviews about pickpocketers, but we never had any issue with that, altough we of course exercised due diligence. It doesn't feel like a tourist trap. When you walk out the door, you almost feel local. Another plus is the existence of a nearby laundrymat (Ondablue is the name). This is helpful if either you're on a long trip, or don't want to pack so many clothes. 5 minute walk. To sum it up: Excellent hotel, wonderful staff, great location. We just came back from our trip in Italy. Rome was our first city and I was so happy to stay in Hotel Napoleon. Their driver picked us up at the airport and even though our flight was 1.5 hrs late, he was there the minute we walked out of the baggage claim. The cost was even better then Roma Cab. The hotel is clean, the room was spacious and right out […] side the door is the Metro station so even though one could walk to all the attractions, it was handy to have when after a day of walking with children we could just hop on the metro and be at the hotel. They also sell the Roma Pass at the hotel. The room (we had a quadruple) was clean and beds comfortable (not easy to find in Italy). Great Wi-Fi connection in the room and additional computers available in the seating area. Very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. Read more

Hotel Napolean is nicely remolded with large public area and one pc. Free wifi wasn't working one day. Room was reasonable size with nice bathroom. But bed was saggy. Overall nice, but high price. Within walking distance of main train station, Termini. Metro entrance right at hotel.

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel following a med cruise. It is a traditional old style european hotel overlooking a nice square. The massive positive is that the metro entance is only 10 paces rom the front door and all day tickets to it were available from the hotel for only 4 euro each. The metro gives quick and easy access to all the sights although […] it is a little busy. The immeadiate area around the hotel feels compltely safe but there are not a lot of restauarants close by. The hotel restauarant and and bar are reasonably priced but we chose to get the metro to eat in the spanish steps area, which is lovely for an evening meal. We also went one night to the piazza navone to eat on the recommendation of the concierge and it was a fabulous atmosphere. The restaurants in the piazza were very expensive but only one block back they are much more reasonable. **one note of caution - when ordering a taxi via the hotel the rate starts when the hotel phone, not when the taxi arrives, which made the outward journey twice the price **. I would recommed the limo service provided by the hotel back to the airport, which at time of writing was 48 euro. The staff at the hotel were the most helpfulI have come accross anywhere in the world, even finding the time to check me in on line for my return flight and even printing off the boarding cards. On the friday night the management held a 'wine and nibbles' party and the owner actually came and introduced himself. For all people who want to stay in this hotel and want to know how to get there, I would say this: when you get off the train from the airport look to your lert, you will see Hotel Radisson: go out of Termini and take the street that is between Radisson and the plase called Discoteka. Turn right and walk around the park, because the hotel is on the other side of the park, it is hidded behind thie park. you don't need to take the metro for one stop, you can comfortably walk even with luggege.
