Napoleon Hotel

This hotel was our home away from home. It was our first time in Europe and the staff was just amazing. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay that much more special. They answered many of the questions we had and even called a local restaraunt to make reservations for us (arguably our best meal we had in Italy). Not to mention, the rooms are […] beautiful, comfortable and very clean. The free breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. The location was just outstanding...it was a very nice, scenic 10min walk to the colessum and about 5 yards away from the metro to take you the Vatican, Spanish Steps, etc. I would highly recommend this hotel for people who are looking for a relaxed, comfortable and no nonsense place to stay in Rome. The staff treats you like your at home and for that alone is worth the price to pay for a place to stay, especially if its your first time visiting. Everything about this hotel was top notch, it's location, condition of the rooms, breakfast, etc., but it was the staff that made my stay so enjoyable. Everyone on the hotel staff was eager to help,but it was the two concierges Roberto and Franco who really went above and beyond and made my stay so memorable. They made recommendations for laundry service, […] tours, places to eat and sights to see and every recommendation was spot on. The hotel is perhaps a ten minute walk from the Termini Train Station. Within 100 feet of the hotel entrance is the entry to the subway, which is one stop away from the Termini Station, a main subway stop serving both of Rome's subway lines. There are numerous restaurants in the area. The room size and the bathroom size were decent. Like most European hotels the shower was a bit small, but very modern and clean. I would stay there again without any hesitation and I would rely on Robert and Franco's recommendations without any hesitations. Read more

The hotel staff was very helpful. The location was great- near to a subway stop so that you could move about Rome easily. The breakfast was great. Clean room. The shower was small, hard to move around but that was the only fault I could find. Great value.

Hotel was hidden gem. First impression wasn't great main lobby was small, but you soon realize there are other levels which are fantastic. Hotel was steps away from Metro which was very easy to Navigate to all the major sites. Staff was very accommodating.

The hotel was wonderful, with an extremely helpful staff. Our room and bathroom were good sized and very clean. It was the end of Oct. and the AC was still an option. Friday evening there was a free wine event where we were greeted by an owner of this family owned hotel. It gave visitors a chance to meet other travelers and feel very welcomed to this […] city. There was a large lobby area with a tv with more channels than in the rooms and several computers. Every evening there was a half price happy hour. We ate dinner in the bar one night for pizza and the dining room another night. The food was good and reasonable. A breakfast buffet with a wide variety of food was included with the room. The subway stop was right in front of the hotel. We used it to get to the Vatican. We walked to the Colusseum area, the Panthenon, and from the train station. We ate at a restaurant a block to the right of the hotel but the one to the left a few blocks had very slow service. Overall we loved this hotel. I gave it a 4 for location and neighbor hood only because it was out of the real tourist area, but then again that could be a plus. Read more

The staff makes this hotel a 5 star! Roberto and the rest of the staff went way out of their way to make our stay terriffic. The double room was perfect with an excellent shower. The best kept secret is the Happy Hour in the bar from 6:30 to 7:30, half price drinks! Food is great also. The room was really nice. The staff was lovely. I was only there one night so did not explore the neighborhood much. The only slightly negative thing I have to say is that the elevators are a little strange. You have to take two different elevators to get to your room. I would stay there again if in Rome.

The Napoleon meets its four-star rating, and then some. Everything was as we expected, and the personnel were helpful. They also are reasonably multi-lingual. In terms of the neighborhood, it needs a general clean-up. The piazza (park and plaza) is full of trash and graffiti. It is a few minutes walk from the main train station Termini, or you can take the Metro one stop to the square, "Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II". The piazza (Vittorio)is a treed park and there are many outdoors cafe's and ristorante's where you can enjoy a meal in either. The location is superb for walking the sites of Rome, closest landmark is the Colluseum, as well as hoping on the Metro to perhaps, the Spanish Steps (Piazza di Spagne) and walking to the Vatican, etc. The breakfast included was large and delicious and the staff were helpful and friendly. Good value for money. Very close to Metro, easy access to all signseeing. Hotel staff excellent, helpful and coutrious. The Breakfast was great, the Bar and Resturant were very reasonable and open every day but Wednesday. Room was very clean but on the smaller side. A great place to stay and a good value for the money.

This is an excellent hotel. The breakfast buffet is first rate. The staff is friendly and knowledgable, and our room was very quiet and clean. My only complaint is the hard pillows, but I later learned that we could have asked for different pillows. The bathroom was large and immaculate. The two free computers in the lobby for internet access were great. […] A Metro station is just outside the door, so the location could not be more convenient to everything: 20 min walk to Colloseum and Termini train station, 10 min to Santa Maria Maggiore, and a quick Metro ride to Termini and the Vatican.
