Three blocks from the Colissuem and walking distance to many other things like the spanish steps, trevi fountain, etc. Nice staff and clean room with a nice bathroom. The hotel was in a great location- near the metro, walking distance to the Colosseum and Palatine Hills. There were delicious restaurants just next door and a great gelato shop at the end of the block. For a few nights in Rome, this hotel is ideal. The room we were given was a little small but perfectly clean with powerful air con (a must in Rome in the summer!) with double glazing to shut out the noise of the street. The continental breakfast has a good selection. The staff were really friendly and very helpful. The hotel was five minutes walk from main train station and the same distance from the Colosseum. The metro was just down the street from hotel. The staff were absolutely lovely. "Borromeo Hotel - good location!"
We arrived earlier than the check-in time listed but we had an early flight so couldn't avoid that. We had hoped to be able to shower and freshen up before heading out but that wasn't an option. Thankfully they did have a locked storage room where we could leave our luggage and head out on the town. The beds were a bit worn and not the most comfortable […] but when you're tired, everything is good! The location was great! less than 10 minutes to the Colloseum (walking) and very close to Termini Station and subway. Lots of good restaurants around. "Huonevalintako syynä?"
Matkustimme Roomaan neljän hengen porukalla ja ensisilmäys hotellin aulassa oli tyrmistyttävä: katon ja seinän rajapinnassa oli pahvinen "suojus" ilmeisesti peittämässä tai estämässä vahinkoa. Toivoimme 4 erillistä sänkyä, ja saimme huoneen Ludovici, jonne kiivettiin hyvinkin kapeata portaikkoa pitkin. Portaiden yläpään tasanteella oli kaide joka ei […] ollut kunnolla kiinni ja ilmeisesti vaarallinen (en tiedä koska en uskaltanut koskea). Huone haisi homeiselta ja tunkkaiselta, lampunvarjostimet olivat irti ja tipahtelivat paikoiltaan. Yleisilme oli luotaantyöntävä. Sänkyjen jouset olivat hirvittävän huonossa kunnossa, onneksi huonesiivous pelasi ja lakanat olivat puhtaat. Hotellin alla kulkee ilmeisesti metrolinja ja metron jylinä luuluikin ainakin tähän huoneeseen erittäin häiritsevästi. Myös kaikki reseptionin äänet, puhelimen pirinät ja keskustelut kuuluivat häiritsevästi. WC/kylpyhuone oli niinikään järkyttävä, hometta seinillä, vuotava hana, halkeamia seinillä. Tämä hotelli ei missään tapauksessa täytä sille annettua kolmen tähden luokkaa, vaan jää kyllä maksimissaan kahden tähden majoituspaikaksi. Onneksi emme viipyneet kuin kaksi yötä täällä. "Hôtel Borromeo à Rome, proche centre ville"
J'ai passé 5 jours et 4 nuits à Rome à l'Hôtel Borroméo, avec une amie. J'ai été très heureuse de ce séjour. L'hôtel est proche de la gare centrale de Termini donc facilité pour l'arrivée de l'aéroport Fiumicino et pour l'accès aux 2 lignes de métro. Le centre ville (Colisée, Forum, ...) est facilement accessible à pieds, ainsi que d'autres lieux de […] visite (Piazza della Repubblica, Villa Borghese, ...). Le personnel est très agréable (accueil, ménage, petit déjeuner, même l'accueil de nuit). La chambre (double avec deux lits une personne) est propre et assez spacieuse. La salle de bain, est propre et claire. La climatisation est facilement règlable. Pour notre 1ère nuit, on a eu la chance de bénéficier de la suite "Ludovici" car il n'y avait pas de chambre double de libre. Ce fut une très agréable surprise. Le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse est un atout de l'hôtel. Grand choix de nourriture et boisson pour le petit déjeuner. Hotellet ligger greit til ift byturer rundt til de kjente stedene i Roma som Colloseum, Forum, Capitol, Navona, Trevi.... Rengjøringen er upåklagelig. Rommene er som ellers i Roma, ikke særlig store. Frokosten kan inntas på terrasse eller innendørs i luftige lokaler. Selve frokosten var grei nok (egg/bacon, skinke, ost, frukt, kornblandinger...), men […] vi savnet grovt brød.
