Overall I was very pleased with the Hotel Morgana. Their facilities were nice and quaint, plus the free breakfast offer through Hotels.com really made the stay. My wife's luggage had been misplaced and the hotel staff assisted greatly in helping us talk with AlItalia and negotiating a pick-up point for the bag. My three criticisms of the hotel are as […] follows: 1) The hotel is advertised as being air-conditioned, but the AC is only turned on during the summer months. The air was nice in Rome during our stay, and the windows opened, so that was not so bad. 2) The hotel sets up a driver service that must be paid in cash, but you can get a cab for half the price. It was neat seeing a driver waiting, but we got charged an extra 20 Euro over the original quote due to us having to file a claim with AlItalia's baggage department. 3) While the hotel is no-smoking, the floor we stayed on was under construction and the staff and crew smoked constantly while working on our floor. Thankfully the window opened. The surrounding neighborhood was nice and offered several restaurants, plus was close to the Train Station which offered numerous amenities and a late-hours pharmacy with an on-staff doctor. Definitely not a four star hotel. I've stayed at many nice hotels for business so in comparison it is a 2 star for US standards and perhaps 3 star for EU. It's a few blocks from Roma train terminal and Metro which is convenient to and from the airport and sights. Be careful of the restaurants nearby. They are tourist traps. We wanted to be close to the train Rome Teminial trainstaion. this hotel locating was at the most 6 minutes away. Many resturants on the street as Hotel. The staff knew where everything was and would gladly draw on the city map were to go!!! Room was not spacious but met our taste for two nights!!!!

The location was great right beside the train station very convenient , price of hotel wasn't bad at all. We had an executive room smaller than what you would get in America but European hotels are naturally smaller. Overall we loved the location walking distance to the Colosseum or 3 euro to ride the subway as far as you want .

We were 'upgraded' to a superior room which meant we were in another building down the road. Didnt really bother us and to be honest there arent any hotel facilities (other than breakfast) and a bar which literally was a cupboard that never seemed open. The room was nice, small but perfectly fine. Air con, little fridge, clean and comfy gigantic bed […] (the room was small). No English tv channels (enough to see in Rome without tv, BUT it rained one day and so without any other hotel facilities we wouldnt have minded a bit of tv at some point). Not the most picturesque part of Rome but its walkable (20 mins ish) to most of the attractions of close to the termini which has the metro and buses to everywhere you need to get to. Hotel staff were helpful and called some museums for us to help us find something to do in the rain. We missed having a pool or hotel facilities but in the real world, in the centre of town we'd have needed to have saved for 10 years to fund that. I wouldnt want to have stayed in the other building on my own as was down a fairly quiet street and felt quite isolated (though there was a secure entrance). Read more

First room was a closet with a bed recessed into a wall surrounded by elevators. We asked to change after one night and were immediately and pleasantly moved to another room. On first look this hotel appears perfect due to its great location and recently refurbished rooms however within a short space of time the small cracks appear. The first crack being an actually crack in the bath lead to water flooding the bathroom floor. Lähdimme häämatkalle ja haimme hieman parempaa hotellia. Hintatasoon nähden hotelli oli hieno, mutta ei kuitenkaan todella yleellinen. Sijainti rautatieaseman vieressä on aivan loistava. Matkaa nähtävyyksille toki oli, mutta onhan kaupunki iso. Hotellin ympäristössä on paljon kivoja ravintoloita ja muutamia kauppoja. Ympäristö ei kuitenkaan ollut levoton […] ja hotellin ovella oli aina henkilökuntaa. Itse huone oli melko pieni, kuvat todellakin saavat huoneet näyttämään huomattavasti isommilta. Huone on kuitenkin todella siisti ja hieman eritavalla sisustettu. Huoneessamme oli myös poreamme, mutta en tiedä johtuiko se siitä että olimme ilmoittaneet olevamme häämatkalla. Se toimi kuitenkin todella kivana virkistyksenä pitkän päivän jälkeen. Henkilökunta puhui hyvin englantia vaikka olimme varautuneet sopertamaan italiaa. Aamupalakin oli yllättävän hyvä, tarjonta oli todella monipuolinen. Olimme kuulleet että aamiainen ei Italiassa ole mitenkään kummoinen, mutta tämä todellakin toimi meille. The hotel was ok. The rooms are very very small by any standard, even if we had the executive level rooms. They promised us a view of the city but instead we got the trash bins of the courtyard. The Internet did not work in the rooms and when we complained, they were unpolite to us. They promised to call someone to repair the connection but nothing […] was done. Finally one receptionist reseted the Internet and it worked - but only briefly. Even when it was not working, I heard them selling it to someone. Also there was no gym in this hotel, even if it was in the description. And there were no satellite channels even if there was a long list of channels next to the TV. Well, the hotel was at least clean and very comfy. The breakfast was great and coffee absolutely amazing! The receptionists were mainly friendly and helpful and the "Hercules Poirot" bartender absolutely brilliant. The hotel is very close to Termini, so all major attractions are under walking distance. This is one of the better two star hotels we have ever been in. But not even close to four stars, never. But we would still go again, if the price was correct. Read more

Fyra stjärnor i Sverige motsvarar uppenbarligen inte fyra stjärnor i Italien. Små rum för att vara s.k. Executive. Inte riktigt den lyx som utlovades. Ligger i lite skumma kvarter, utevistelse efter mörkrets inbrott i kvarteren rekommenderas icke. Ypperlig service och god frukost, inget fel på detta.

Vi var to par som reiste sammen, det ene paret fikk et relativt stort rom, mens vi fikk et veldig lite rom. Men rommene var fine de. Små bad Lurt å be om rom mot bakgården, da det er en del trafikk på andre siden. Litt harde senger men det er veldig individuelt hva man liker. Det var positivt at de hadde mørkegardinger og/eller luker foran vinduene […] slik at man kunne få det helt mørkt i rommet. Litt langt å gå til "down town". Det er billig å ta taxi. Read more

Är nöjd med våran vistelse på hotel Morgana, det enda man kan klaga på är läget, runt Temini området är det inte så skoj o gå runt efter 22:00. Men taxi är billigt och rekomenderar att man tar en taxi efter man har varit ute och ätit på kvällen om det blir sent.! Hotellet var väldigt trevligt annars, prisvärt, rent och snyggt. Vi bodde på 5e våningen […] och det kan man rekommendera, lite liv utanför på kvällarna, dock inte så att det stör överhuvudtaget. Nått man ska hoppa över som vi också gjorde är deras frukost, den kostar 15 EURO per person/dag! det är väldigt dyr frukost. Grei sentral beliggenhet. Ikke langt å gå til Colosseum, Spansketrappen etc. Men lenger holdt det ikke. Dette var et ganske så slitent hotell med dårlig service. Prisen var heller ikke superbra, så vet ikke jeg. Området var også veldig tvilsomt. Rett ved en sentralbanestasjon er ikke alltid så veldig heldig. Vi burde visst bedre. Huff ! Utsikt ut mot en skitten gg lite hyggelig bakgård. Frokosten var under middels og det var LANG kæ for å få bord. Greit utvalg med hovedvenkt på det søte. Dog var det frisk frukt. Sericen er elendig. Resepsjonistene har det mer travelt med å fikse printere og snakke i telefon enn å yte gjesteservice. Virker også veldig arrogante.
