Teh Hotel Bolivar is located very centrally in Rome. It is on a very quiet street - really a dead end. teh rooms are very small, even by European standards. "Great home base for exploring Rome"
The hotel was well situated and appointed, but difficult to initially find as it is located on a sidestreet. But it's location within a 15 minute walk to the Colosseum and near the bus lines make it an ideal location to explore Rome. It is only a short stroll from the Trevi fountain. The concierge services were exceptional. Requests were responded […] to within minutes. The staff were extemely helpful in providing directions and assisting in arranging airport transportation. Their suggestions saved my party time and money during our trip. They were also very willing to store our luggage after check out until we were ready to depart for the airport. The buffet breakfast provided by the hotel offered a wide variety of beverages and an extensive selection ot breakfast items. All of the offerings were attractively presented and tasty. The buffet location, on the top floor of the hotel, provided an attractive and relaxing location to enjoy breakfast and start the day.. The only thing lacking was washcloths. Fantastic location for a sightseeing visit to Rome, with a decent spread at breakfast. Unfortunately the hotel was very dated and noisy. The staff were friendly and helpful, however the bar never seemed to be open. On check-out we felt the lack of drink pricing clarity had left us with a 20euro bill for two drinks at the bar. The hotel is rated as 4star […] by expedia, however I would say that 2-3 is more accurate. Despite the hotel sign saying 3star outside, the rome city tax is priced as 3euro pppn not the 2euro it should be for 3 star hotels. Having said that, we did enjoy our stay in rome greatly, and the location of the hotel was perfect. The old style of the hotel was not to our taste (as a young couple). "Loved the location"
Air conditioner in our room was being worked on when we arrived. We were offered a free drink while we waited a few minutes. We were offered a smaller room or a room at another hotel or we could wait till later to see if it was fixed in the original room. When we returned, the air conditioner had been fixed. Rooms a little small but then again we didn't […] go to Rome to spend a great deal of time in the hotel room. The shower door was missing making it a little awkward to take a shower. The hotel is tucked away on a quiet street. The location is close to all major attractions and shopping. We were very pleased with the breakfast selection. "Nice Hotel"
I had read mixed reviews about his hotel before booking it. Upon arrival I thought that I had made a mistake in booking it as there was an electrical problem when we arrived which meant we couldnt check in. The staff however were very friendly and explained that if they couldnt resolve the problem then they would accomodate in a sister hotel however […] the problem was resolved. Our room was plesant enough but not to a 4* standard but the friendliness of the staff made up for this. The location of the Hotel is good and there are enough bars and resteaurants in the area. "A Very well hidden Roman Gem"
The hotel would have been difficult to find without booking the airport shuttle, which is considerably cheaper than any other method of reaching the hotel. the hotel was clean and beautifully decorated with marble and gold everywhere Our bedroom was beautiful and on the ground floor because of my bad knee. The bathroom was more than adequate though […] the plumbing left a bit to be desired. The location was superb for access to the colloseum and the Trevi Fountain and the open topped tour busses pick up just around the corner. The tour busses run every day from 9 till 9 and take a different route on sundays So if you buy a 48hour ticket and include sunday you will get the best value. hotel location was our primary objective. the hotel is only 5-15 minutes walk to most attractions. pleasent atmosfere and extremely quiet. it has a country feeling within the city. a nice breakfast is served on a lovely rooftop restaurant. the only drawback was that the room was too small. "Sehr Zentral aber keine 4 Sterne"
Das Hotel ist auf keinen Fall 4 Sterne wert. Die Zimmer sind runtergekommen, verschmutz und viel zu klein. Blutflecken auf dem Kissen. Frühstück gabs bis 10 Uhr ab 9:30 Uhr gabs kalten Kaffee. "Hotel Bolivar Rome, een plek om weer te keren"
We werden zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam ontvangen door Vincenzo, waarbij info over restaurants en de stad werden uitgewisseld. De ligging is zoals ze zeggen "on a quiet place". Je ziet het hotel niet vanop de hoofdbaan, maar je wandelt een klein steegje in en zo kom je er..... De ligging is ideaal aangezien je vandaar op wandelafstand heel wat bezienswaardigheden […] tegenkomt (als je graag wandelt zoals wij). Het ontbijtbuffet was eveneens grandioos, met ruime keuze uit broodjes, ontbijtgranen, koffie, thee, fruitsap,.....teveel om op te noemen. Een woordje van appreciatie voor de dame die het ontbijtbuffet beheert : proficiat ! Wat iets tegenviel was de badkamer, waar het badwater niet warmer dan lauw werd, maar verder was deze zeer goed onderhouden. Zeer fijn was ook de kluis op de kamer, zo goed verstopt dat je eerst wat moet zoeken om ze te vinden.... Blijft nog te zeggen dat de hotelbalie, trouwens dag en nacht open, een plek is waar je alles kan vragen....met bijzondere dank aan Vincenzo, dewelke voeling heeft met de klanten (kan iets minder gezegd worden over zijn collega's maar goed). O Hotel é muito bom... Porem, tem um problema sério no banheiro que precisa ser resolvido. O banheiro alem de ser pequeno, não tem cortina nem box, o que causa grande molhação. Outra coisa: a camareira não lavou o banheiro nenhuma vez, nos quase 07 dias que passei no hotel deixando um mal cheiro. Só não reclamei pq já era o ultimo dia de hotel.
