The Hotel is a complex of several buildings. Some are better than others. Stay at the GUIDECCA building and you should be alright- Most the room do not have the 'water view' facing Venice, but the other side which is more city view, but also has water. Our room was very nice and spacious. (I asked for the "suite" which is a corner room with a small […] living room (with no TV) leading into the bedroom separated by a door. this room had 5 windows- nice.The first building we were sent to was a much smaller room, and the entire building smelled a little of mold. I asked to change as I KNEW they weren't evn close to being full, and they said OK.Don't eat or drink here. It is ridiculously expensive. Just get on the Hilton Molino boat which leaves about every 20-40 minutes and get off at San Marco Square and eat there. You can get provisions for your room if you walk out the front of the hotel, turn right, and go all the way past another taxi station. There on your right is a farmacy- Take the street before the farmacy right and go to the COOP. It's a grocery store that has normal food pricing. Stock up there and bring it back- If you order food at the Hotel you will pay! Read more

We paid extra for a room with a view and got a room under the restaurant, room 720. As soon as we cheeked in it was evident that the room was very noisy, the sound of chairs dragging most of the time. I called the desk and was told that our room was not under the sky top restaurant. I said it must be and was told engineering would get back to me. After […] two nights without much sleep I called again and insisted on a room change and we were given a room on the 6th floor and it was wonderful. There needs to be a flag or marker at the St Mark's dock. The Princess cruise people also shared the dock and were rude to us. I got slammed in the back by the elevator, there needs to be a more sensitive door so no one gets injured. There was construction and a messy area out of our window as well. our room was on the 7th floor under the rooftop restaurant/bar and was very loud. Room service tray was left in room by cleaning staff overnight and we never had glasses in the room repllaced by the clarning service in 3 days.the hotel is elegent, clean, staff is helpful and firendly. The hotel itself is what one would expect from a Hilton. The rooftop pool overlooking Venice is unbelieveable and our room met our expectations. That said, the reception staff was sadly disappointing and made no effort to assist us in regards to when our room was available to taking care of our bags to assisting with the boat to the airport.

Interesting hotel with ample history. Located away from madness of canals so in a way good to get to a quieter spot at the end of the day. Drawback is having to take shuttle boat, but not too much of a nuisance. Pool on hotel roof not really practical and crowded. Breakfast was 5 stars.

If using a credit card for this deposit, use one with a limited balance so there are no additional charges added. This is an above-average Hilton with some extra amenities. If you are looking for a "Western-style" hotel, this is perfect. If you are looking for an authentic, typical Italian or Venetian-style hotel/palazzo, you will be disappointed. I would categorize this is a business hotel with some extras that made it more personal/leisurely (i.e., excellent […] Philip Thomas Roth bath products and beautiful rooftop bar with excellent views). Excellent service all around. Breakfast/drinks are very pricey, but overall price for room is lower than average for the quality because of the location. On that - the only downside is location. It is not on the "main" island of Venice. You'll need to be flexible with having to wait for the shuttle boat to to the island and back. Keep this in mind especially at night - the boat takes a break during the evening, and is not always on time, so and you may be "stranded" for awhile. I paid 110 Euro to get form the airport to the hotel via water taxi, that was after walking approximately 500 meters to the boat landing. There is no shuttle from the airport to the hotel. There is a water bus, I thinkn the red line, that will take you to the airport for 15 Euro a person. The Hilton runs a shuttle that goes across the canal to Venice, […] which runs every half hour, but only hourly I believe to San Marco. We stayed two nights before our cruise, and four nights after our cruise, both times at the Hilton. It is quite expensive to stay there, you have to pay for any kind of movie channel, music, and internet, at quite a hefty price tag. They did upgrade us on our return for the four nights, and we had a front side view to watch the ships pass by daily. They discounted our breakfast to 15 euro a person from 30. We did drinks on the roof, which was awesome, but expensive. They shut the pool area down early, and lock it off. We never found seating when we went to the pool, but would of love to of gone up there in the evenings, but they lock the doors, I believe after 6pm. There is a really nice grocery store directly across the canal from the Hotel. It's the yellow building with the beads across the front entrance. Comparatively speaking, the prices were fantastic at that store, and I highly recommend the wines, some of them as low as a few euro. The Venetian Merlot was very good. It was a good hotel and I enjoyed the stay. It was nice and clean and the staff were respectful and helpful. The only thing which was annoying was that people put towels on their sunbeds near to the pool and then left them there when they were not using them. We had to lie down on the floor when the majority of sunbeds were occupied only by towels.

A great hotel. Probably the best you're going to find in Venice. The free hotel boat transfer was reliable and on time but you do have to do a bit of planning as they are not super frequent and half of the transfers don't take you to San Marco. Wifi access is expensive but overall a great stay.

On the evening in which I checked it, which was a standard room I noticed there was a leakage in the bathroom & I reported it as I left the hotel for dinner. Once I returned I was left a note to come down to reception and speak with staff. […] They switched my room to the executive suit free of charge with a fantastic view. Another good point about this hotel is ran a free boat service to the main area all day at various times. So this was obviously a great & free way to get around. The room (King Delux with view) could have been improved by a dressing table with mirror, or a mobile mirror for my wife - all the mirrors were in the bathroom or on the bathroom door.
