Hotel was clean and the rooms were large by European standards. Staff was helpfull and the complimentary breakfast was very good with meats, breads, cereals and fruit. Staff was able to arrange tours and water taxis without any problem. Good place to stay and you can walk to the more crowded areas during the day.

Our location was great as we were away from the hustle and bustle. The courtyard was a nice place to relax. It was a short walk to the vaporetto on both the Grand Canal and St Alvise. The beds were soft for our taste and the pull out couch was what you would expect and no different from what you would find anywhere else so I did not grade down for this. The room was clean. The hotel staff at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful (and English speaking). They made good recommendations for restaurants and helped with reservations. There are not a lot of options for food or gelato in the immediate area due to the neighborhood location but you can find places to eat within walking distance and without taking a boat ride. Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and a wonderful breakfast. Eggs, bacon, croissants, fruit and something for everyone. Having to walk with a cane, the trips into town over numerous bridges was difficult, but the rooms made up for it. Shopping was exquisite with Murano glass and Venetian masks were exquisitel. A wonderful hotel in an area of Venice where people actually live, rather than just being a tourist center. Gives you the feeling of what it would be like to live in Venice. You do have to be somewhat adventurous about traveling to stay there, as you will be doing a lot of walking and hopping on and off the "vaporettos" to get around.

This stylish, affordable hotel is in a great, non-touristy location. It has great staff, spacious rooms and a decent breakfast buffet and is only a few minutes walk to restaurants, shops and bars, and the all-important water buses. It would have been handy to have been informed about how to get to the accommodation by public water bus - instead we had […] to catch a water taxi, which ended up costing 60 euros... A few simple instructions and a map would have been suffice. To save yourself this expense, contact the hotel prior to your arrival so you know the directions. We wouldn't recommend walking from the train station to the hotel if you are carrying with you heavy suitcases, as there are quite a few steps and bridges along the way. Nevertheless, even with luggage, it's a maximum 20 minute walk from the station to the hotel (but much quicker and less stressful by water bus)!! It is a good hotel but the location is slightly off beat. Problem is that the streets in Venice take a while to get used to as they are narrow and not well marked. The Hotel is not well advertised/marked and it is very tough to locate via Google maps. The hotel webpage does not show any landmarks around the hotel. Hôtel très agréable, nous avons eu notre chambre en temps et en heure, elle était spacieuse (mezzanine) mais un peu sombre (pas génant en étant souvent à l'extérieur ). Climatisation fort présente au niveau sonore et pas évidente à configurer. Bar petit mais charmant, petit déjeuner très fourni et diversifié, il y en a pour tout les goûts, sauf le jus […] d'orange/fruits qui n'est vraiment pas top, rarement bon dans les hôtels de toutes manières. Le personnel est très bien et parle un peu français (accueil et service). L'hôtel est très excentré mais on est très vite aux endroits principaux de Venise : 15 min à pied de Piazzale Roma,15/20 min de Rialto et 25/30 min de San Marco, distance qui n'est pas gênante étant donné la beauté des ruelles et canaux. Station de Vaporetto à 5 min pour les moins courageux. Attention le restaurant n'est apparemment pas ouvert hors saison (nous y étions première semaine de mai) mais l'hôtel n'est pas très loin d'une rue fort fréquentée où l'on peut trouver pas mal de restaurants. Hotellet ligger i en stille gade lidt afsides og man mærker den lokale atmosfære. Man skal dog kun gå 5 min. for at nå en livlig shoppinggade. Der er ca. 10 min. gang ad denne til Canal Grande, hvor båd 1 og 2 sejler til Rialtobroen, Markuspladsen mm. Hotellet er stilfuldt og hyggeligt indrettet og der serveres en udmærket morgenmad.

Wir kannten dieses Hotel bereits. Vor 3 Jahren stimmten Preis/Leistung mehr oder weniger überein. Die Lage hat uns sehr gut gefallen und wir waren mit dem Service zufrieden. Dieses Mal erwartete uns eine böse Überraschung. Das erste Zimmer stank dermassen nach "airfresh" und abgestandenem Rauch (wir hatten ein Nichtraucherzimmer beantragt), dass der […] Atem schon beim Eingang stockte. Der Wechsel in ein anderes Zimmer war kein Problem, allerdings hatten wir dieselbe Situation....Das Inventar lottert dermassen, dass wir von Glück reden können, keines der Wandtablare auf den Kopf bekommen zu haben. Der clou war das Frühstück. Im wunderschönen Garten bei herrlichem Wetter durften sich die Tauben an den Essresten der Vorgänger laben, ihre Schnäbel ins weich gekochte Ei tunken, um anschliessend die Nachbartische zu verdrecken. Eine Zumutung für die Gäste, die am frühstücken waren. Das Personal schien's nicht zu kümmern: auf Nachfrage wurde zwar immerhin abgeräumt, aber die beschmutzten Set blieben liegen und die Vögel konnten sich weiterhin an den Resten gütlich tun. Ein vorbeigehendes Zimmermädchen hat das Servicepersonal sogar darauf angesprochen, Antwort: "was willst Du, dass ich tue?" Es ist klar, dass die Tauben in Venedig nicht zu "dressieren" sind. Aber wenn die Tische rasch und gründlich gereinigt würden, könnte das Problem mit Sicherheit besser in Schach gehalten werden. Eine derart unappetitliche Situation haben wir noch nie erlebt. Überhaupt hatten wir das Gefühl, dass das Servicepersonal ausser Präsenz markieren, nicht sonderlich begeistert von seiner Arbeit ist. Wir haben es anschliessend an der Reception beanstandet. Schade um dieses Haus: es hat eine Toplage, sehr ruhig und man bewegt sich mitten unter Venezianern. hier gäbe es noch viel zu tun. Read more

Pour s'y rendre: Je conseil de prendre le bus de l’aéroport jusqu'au terminus venise - Plazza le Roma (confortable, climatisé, rapide et pas cher seulement 5 euros l'aller) . Une fois au terminus Plazza le roma prendre le Vaporetto (bateau bus) jusqu'a San Alvise ligne 42 . Je vous conseille de prendre un ticket […] abonnement vaporetto 3 jours à 33 euros qui vous donne accès à tous les bateaux bus pour visiter venise et ses environs (Plage du Lido etc...) A visiter absolument le Ghetto juif de Carnaregio situé à 500 mètre de l’hôtel.L'endroit est magique et chaleureux.( La communauté juive vous accueillera avec le sourire et une hospitalité encore jamais vu auparavant!!! et pour les gourmands des gâteaux à couper le souffle...) Nettes, ruhiges Hotel, abseits vom Touristenwirbel mit sehr schönem Garten am Rio di S. Alvise mit eigenem Steg für Wassertaxis. Die Haltestellen des öffentlichen Verkehrs sind gut auf kurzen Wegen zu erreichen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und mehrsprachig. Das Hotel liegt im Viertel Sant´ Alvise, in einer Wohngegend Venedigs.

Lå noe usentralt, men brukte ikke mer enn ca 15 minutter på å gå til de mest sentrale stedene i Venezia. Tips: snakk med hotellet før ankomst så får du hjelp til å finne frem. Vi kom frem tolv på kvelden og rakk akkurat […] siste båten. Fra nærmeste holdeplass var det et godt stykke å gå med mange kofferter over mange broer. Burde takk drosjebåt direkte fra flyplassen. Kamers zijn in orde. Comfortabele badkamer. Personeel is zeer voorkomend en vriendelijk. Er is een uitgebreid en kwalitatief goed verzorgd ontbijt. Je verblijft in een aangename, rustige buurt en toch is het historische centrum gemakkelijk te bereiken. Er zijn in deze buurt een aantal leuke restaurants te vinden.
