Very good hotel. Nice room, comfortable bed. Stunning view from the balcony and even better from the roof-top terrace. Breakfasts were more than adequate and extremely well varied. Excellent location 200 metres from Duomo & Tower. Pleasant helpful staff. Rooms adequate with en suite, but not very big. Front rooms a bit noisy from street. The only 4* this hotel has is it's location, 2 mins walk from the tower. Rooms really need to be updated as very tired and to much dark wood(room 110) staff very helpful. Would I stay here again??? So close to the leaning tower; just spend your days walking around Pisa. It's lovely and there is much you will miss if you only visit the tower. Room was exceptionally clean if a lttle elderly. "Hotel Grand Duomo - great location close to sights"
Although the location of the hotel was great, the room was dated and tired looking. We only stayed one night so it was not a problem but would not have wanted to stay longer. Rummen är små och känns trånga iomed de mörka väggarna. Jag har ont om referenspunkter på hotellets utbud av frukostbuffé, men det fanns lite bröd och köttpålägg. Inga grönsaker. Dock ett fruktfat. (kanske standard i Italien) Hotellet är väldigt väldigt lyhört. Vi hade ett gäng gäster som checkade in på kvällen och intog rummet brevid oss, och vi hörde […] nästan allt de gjorde och sa där inne. Minimal TV på vårat rum, 12". Kontra avstånd till sängen så såg man knappt TV:n. (nej, jag åker inte på semester för att kolla på TV, men det kan vara trevligt för någon att veta). Läget är det som väger upp allt. Jättenära till sevärdigheter och restauranger. Som sagt, det är möjligt att man som svensk är bortskämd på vissa fronter. Men jag har försökt vara konstruktiv. "Italy, Pisa-Florence"
This hotel (as the city of Pisa) seemed to stay still in the 1980:s. Bathroom was renovated, but the shower was really little (and I am only 50kg, so you can imagine). We booked a double room, but we got a bed that was no more then 160cm, it was really little for 2 people. The bed was really in bad condition, the madras was used and old and I could […] feel the feathers on my back. Breakfast was very simple, coffee was tasting bitter. Stuff in the breakfast restaurant should be more pleasant, maybe something to reinforce to the people who work with tourism. Obvious lack of that in this region Pisa-Florence. -Be ware if you go to Florence by train. After we bought our tickets at the train station, we sat down in the train. The conductor came and asked for tickets. When I gave him our tickets, he said that we should have stamped them at the platform. Therefore he charged us penalty, he told us that the penalty was 40Eu per person, but he would charge us 5Eu per person. I was shocked, nowhere in the EU you must stamp train tickets after you bought them at expedition door. Specially if there is no stamp-machine IN the train. This seemed to be very much staged, because they know that innocent tourists fall into this trap. The Conductor did not come through the rest of the train-trip. Detta hotellet bör inte ha mer än 1 stjärna om man skall gå efter standard och personal. Vi bad dom beställa taxi till flyg, den kom inte. Vi bad om väckning, vi blev inte väckta. Hôtel un peu vieillot qui ne vaut certainement pas un 4 étoiles. La chambre et la salle de bain ne sont pas de tout confort. La climatisation et le frigo sont appréciables.
