"Great Hotel"
We used the Carlton Millrace for a wedding and stayed 4 nights. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. The wedding venue and food were excellent. WiFi was only available in the lobby area which was a minor inconvenience. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Bunclody area.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Value for money and access to the real Ireland"
Stayed here for three nights mid week. It was an ideal location to explore Wexford and Carlow at the same time doing some business that we needed to undertake. The staff were very friendly and helpful even if a little over stretched at times in the bar/bistro in the evening. The leisure club facilities were excellent for a 4* hotel and the breakfast […] & bistro food was of a good standard. You will need a car when you are here because it is a fair run to the coast or nearest big towns. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Receptionist was very helpful but overall very dissapointed with hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dated and badly run"
When we arrived the receptionist answered the phone several times while checking us in so that we had to wait nearly ten minutes before we were given our key. The room was basic and very dated. Mould on the bathroom tiles and shower, lumpy old bed, poor quality tv and view of a high wall two metres from our window (even though we were on the second […] floor). Room was freezing and heating was hard to use. Went downstairs to order dinner in the bistro and found the main waiter very rude and sarcastic. Would not sit us at a reserved table (although it remained empty for the next hour) and only found us a table when we created a fuss. In fairness, other staff were very pleasant and the food was lovely. We were in a room which would double up as a suite so there was a closed door to the adjoining room. During the night we were woken by the couple next door coming in late. We were also awoken by other guests in the corridor. The walls are paper thin. All in all a very disappointing stay. Would not recommend. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
