Our stay in this hotel was wonderful. The rooms were clean, the food in the restaurant was very good, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The lovely shopping area of Kilkenny is within a two minute walking distance which was highly advantageous as my mother has mobility problems. Booked this hotel through Expedia and got a good deal. The hotel is right in the centre of Kilkenny and is two or three minutes walk to the town centre and the Castle. This hotel was in a lovely location, close to the Castle and with a lovely terrace overlooking the river. The rooms were large and comfortable and the breakfast was first class. Despite outside temperatures of around 50 degrees, and the fact that no heat was on in the room, the room was so hot that I had trouble sleeping the first night. I would recommend this. The rooms are lovely. The temperature of the shower was a little temperamental but overall the bathroom was nice. The reception staff were a little curt both on check in and check out... not particularly rude but definitely not friendly. The spa was a great benefit.
