Dublin Airport is 10 kilometres north of the city centre. It is a relatively small but busy and expanding gateway, and is undergoing major redevelopment, with a new terminal to be added in 2010. An Airlink bus service provides a direct connection with Dublin city centre in around 30 minutes.

Location is very convenient for an overnight stay before catching a flight to final destination. Room was clean very essential but totally worth the cost. Good: location, value for money. Bad: wi-fi connection very, very poor, not many choices for food but the hotel pub and the hotel restaurant Brasserie, which is outrageously overpriced for the quality […] of food and service. Very large hotel. Huge restaurant and bar in lobby, very loud. Nothing around this hotel, but it is close to the airport.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"room rates ok but beware of pricey meals"
Simple Irish breakfast for myself and child over 30 euros!!! They may give a competitive room rate but they fleece you on food and beverages.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to airport"
We chose this hotel due to its proximity to the Dublin airport; however, it wasn't the nicest place. You get the feeling like the staff doesn't really like tourists, and the overall atmosphere is very cold. But if you want to be close to the airport, this place does the trick!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bewley's okay for quick stay"
While the actual room was fairly nice, the bathtub drain was completely backed up. The hotel lobby furniture was extremely worn and in need of refurbishing. And the lobby men's toilet could use a bit of upkeep. Service, rates and location were suitable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Overall very good, with a couple of shortcomings"
Relatively charmless but functional hotel, okay for an overnight stay to or from the airport. There is no in-room coffee or tea equipment, and no room service, so if you're arriving after their restaurant hours, or want a late-evening cup of tea, you're out of luck until the morning. They have a free shuttle to and from the airport. Overall it's perfectly […] serviceable. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"only positive is location"
The staff at reception never answered when I called from Dubln Airport for the shuttle srvice. I held for 20 minutes, listening gto "wde will be with you in a very short time." They also did not give me an important e-mail that my husband had sent. Worse, they failed to give me the requested telephone call, and I very nearly missed my flight back to […] the US. One gets the feeling that this staff simply does not care about guests. I would never, ever stay there again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"last night befor flight"
This is an airport hotel, so for any other purpose than spending the last night before you fly it would not be your best option. On the plus side, rooms are unusually large for this kind of hotel. The downstairs lounge area is huge. On the negatives, I noticed the following: first the hotel is very old and run down. At the night I was there it was also […] party night for a bunch of local kids. Don't know if this is a common occurance. On the service side, the staff is friendly and accomodating but the hotel itself lacks. Some examples: there is an ice machine on every floor but no ice bucket in the room. Remember that this is an airport hotel? To print your boarding pass you have to use one of the two computers downstairs with a rather pathetic coin lock. You have to pay 1 Euro for 7 minutes of access, of which you lose at least two trying to get pass the hoops to get to a browser. Really, in 2012 A.D., a computer with a coin lock???!!! You also have to pay 8 Euro per night for parking and they don't let you put it on the hotel bill. For business travelers this is an unnecessary hassle. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfortable, but did have Issues"
Comfortable room, however; has to wait for over 2 hours to get checked in, food was poor, nothing around hotel, Wi-Fi was very good, TV was out-dated. Would be OK for over-night stay at Dublin for lay-over, nothing more. Would stay at closer to airport next time. Just OK.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Budget hotel, allows smoking"
This very large hotel was clean enough but is definitely on the "budget" rather than "quality" side of accommodations. Any extra required a few Euro, from tea in the lobby to the three very slow internet-equipped computers -- 1 Euro for 7 minutes, plus .25 per page printed. While waiting for pages to load, expect to breathe second-hand smoke from the […] bar and area just off the lobby. Breakfast was low-grade, with mysterious pricing: porridge did not come with brown sugar or raisins (as it does almost everywhere else) and didn't count in the "3 hot items" package. We chose a la carte though there was little info about what anything cost individually, and we were charged randomly: fruit salad cost for one of us but not all three, and there was no charge for yogurt or brown bread. Bottom line: a cheap stay with an airport shuttle, okay for one night. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Soul-less but satisfactory"
Stayed overnight between flights. Front desk attendants were friendly and helpful, room lacked character of any kind but was perfectly comfortable. This is a huge, modern hotel that, once you're inside, could be absolutely anywhere; there was no clue that it was in Ireland. All in all, it was well-priced and perfectly satisfactory for my purposes. If […] I actually wanted to experience Dublin, I'd stay somewhere else. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Would recommend, but not highly."
We stayed here the night before we flew out of the Dublin Airport. The pros: the free shuttle to and from the airport was really nice. They show up frequently and the drivers were helpful. The price was also relatively cheap. The cons: there was not fitted sheet. When we went to pull back the "sheet" the only thing left was a seriously stained blanket […] type covering on the mattress. The sheet was also stained (small stains, but still....bleach??). My husband and I were both sick with colds as well. The hotel had no tissues (kleenex) to offer and the toilet paper rubbed both our noses raw. The front desk was less than helpful when we called to ask about that. The breakfast in the morning was overpriced relatively to the rest of the places we ate in Ireland and only so-so on quality. Summary: It realy wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't top notch. The price was good, room quality was great, and the staff were very helpful, but a collection of minor issues makes for a borderline recommendation. We thought it was close to the airport but it was a 5-10 minute shuttle ride - since there is no other public transportation service at the hotel, the indirect travel to/from downtown Dublin was awkward/difficult/slow. […] The room was clean and comfortable, though on our arrival the windows were open, and I didn't find a way to adjust the temperature. Bathrooms did not have a fan to remove excess steam (or odor). You needed a cardkey to turn/keep on the lights. No bathroom amenties were given (toothbrushes, etc), just shampoo in a wall-mounted container in the tub. A room key was required to get between the lobby and elevators, and in the morning another set of doors were closed between the elevators and room hallways - trouble when handling lots of luggage. The restaurant food was good but expensive - so were the vending machines, and to use the hotel computers for Internet you had to pay extra for it. The staff were very helpful with every question we asked - always ensuring we had everything we needed - but this came at a cost of having to wait in line a long time to be helped - even with four people staffed and only two people in front of me, I waited close to 10 minutes before I was helped. In all, the hotel has a lot to offer, but a collection of little things may give pause to some for consideration. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bewleys, Dublin airport"
We reserved a room at the Dublin Airport Bewleys to be close to the airport and to have access to a free airport shuttle. The hotel is about 10 minutes away, and rather hard to find. Arrived at hotel on a shuttle from Dublin Airport to a line reaching across the lobby of the hotel. Waited in line for 30 minutes before reaching the desk. "Bewleys DUB airport... Whats with the towels ?"
Agree with most reviewers, that if you are just spending one night transiting or waiting for a morning flight this is a good choice. Convenient free shuttle and free WiFi. I stayed two separate nights in June, 2011. You can encounter long check in lines due to tour buses dripping off large groups. And both time I had to call the front desk to ask for […] for towels, as only one hand towel and one regular size bath towel were provided for a room with with a single and a double bed, meaning that there was potential for three people to use the room.the towel thing was just a little weird. "Good for proximity to DUB airport"
Hotel was nice and modern but had lots of heavy doors that didn't automatically open. Being that we were traveling to the airport and had lots of suitcases, the doors were extremely frustrating. It also seemed kind of silly to have to pay to park at this particular hotel. We had dinner in the restaurant. It was ok, maybe a bit overpriced. In the 2 […] weeks we were in Ireland this was the only time we had poor service. In fact our server was outright lousy. Food was good but nothing to write home about. Doors and restaurant aside, everything else was nice and the girl at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room price was reasonable, it was clean and modern, and the location right off the motorway only a few minutes from the airport was extremely convenient so we'd probably stay there again if we needed to stay near the airport. "An Airport Hotel?"
This is billed as an airport hotel but that may be up to debate. It takes about 30 minutes of back-country driving to get to the hotel from the airport and vice versa. That means if you want to go downtown and don't want to pay the 20 Euro cab fee from the hotel, you must shuttle to the airport and take the bus from there. At least two hours - depending […] on bus schedules and how quickly the shuttle leaves the hotel. We stayed here on our final night in Dublin and it worked out OK, but I would have been pretty distressed if we had to spend our entire Dublin trip here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Convenient to airport but prefer to stay elsewhere"
This hotel is convenient for families who wish to land at Dublin airport, board a free shuttle and arrive at their hotel with minimal effort. It is not a good hotel for anyone who wishes to see the city of Dublin. To reach the city, one must board the free shuttle from the hotel, go to the airport, walk to the city bus, pay the fare and then ride the […] bus into Dublin centre. This would be a hassle and take some time. There are no other restaurants/stores, etc. near the hotel. The restaurant is expensive. The food was adequate, but the menu for dinner was fairly limited. Only one vegetarian food option. Breakfast was alright, but expensive. Hotel itself was fine but extremely large and crowded. Rooms were satisfactory. However, I would only stay here the very last night before flying out of Dublin. I would never stay here for more than one night or if I wanted to see Dublin. There is a field across the street with horses in it. One can walk to the fence and see the horses. Otherwise, there is nothing to see or do when you stay here. If you want to see the city of Dublin, stay somewhere else! If you want a quick, easy way to or from the airport only, this is a good choice. On my next visit to Dublin, I would not stay here. I would stay at a hotel in Dublin center and simply take a bus from the airport to the hotel. Much easier and then one can walk to all the restaurants, sights, shops, etc. There is a scale available for a small fee which you can weigh your luggage on before you depart for the airport. This was very helpful, although it was broken when we were there. The girl at the front desk did provide another type of scale for our use once we informed her of the problem. We could then switch around a few items in the luggage so as not to go over our 50 lb. limit for our airline. Also, when we asked if we could charge our IPOD, she simply plugged it into her computer for us and told us to come back later to retrieve it. "Clean and comfortable, inconvenient location"
Having read the other reviews of Bewleys Hotel at Dublin Airport, I was mostly prepared for my visit, and I have a generally favorable impression of the hotel. I do suggest reading the reviews carefully to see if it's a good choice for you. The hotel is neither at the airport nor near anything else, and there is no available public transportation. There […] is a free airport shuttle operated by the hotel (walk out of the arrivals hall past the courtesy buses for the auto rental companies and the other hotels, to the bus depot on the far side of the car park to find it). Allow 30-40 minutes to get to or from the airport, longer to get into Dublin. Unless you hire a cab (expensive), you will need to go to the airport before going anywhere else. The hotel does not have a shop, so purchase any travel necessities before you arrive unless you fancy an hour's trip to the airport and back. The rooms have no fans and no air conditioning, and the windows can't be opened much, which present a dilemma if you arrive on a hot day, as I did. Excessive warmth or airport noise -- which interferes more with sleep? I chose noise, but your mileage may vary. The hotel staff I met were all cheerful, efficient, and courteous. Although its menu is short, the restaurant serves good comfort food that is more expensive than I expected; dinner and breakfast for one cost nearly as much as the room. That having been said, the room was spacious, spotless, comfortable and quiet (once it had cooled and I shut the window), and relatively inexpensive, so I feel like I spent a reasonable sum for two satisfying meals and a good night's sleep. we were staying 1 night, you have to pay for parking even if your staying at the hotel. Explained to reception who changed the room quickly. The next room was fine. […] rooms are basic but fine for a stop over. Breakfast wasnt great over cooked food, but there were yogurts and fruit.
