Dublin Airport is 10 kilometres north of the city centre. It is a relatively small but busy and expanding gateway, and is undergoing major redevelopment, with a new terminal to be added in 2010. An Airlink bus service provides a direct connection with Dublin city centre in around 30 minutes.
see all hotels in Dublin"Why no towels and inadequate bus service?"
Restaurant and bar service was nice. My big complaints: a) the towels or better still, the lack thereof. Two of us checked in to find one set of towels (one bath and two hand towels to be precise). No wash cloths. In the morning I went out into the hall found the maid and she all but implied I was silly for not finding the cabinet with an extra bath […] towel stuffed in a plastic bag. Even if I found it I doubt I would be tempted to open the bag or use the towel. Why not just put it in the bathroom? Next morning: one bath towel in the bathroom and the one in the plastic bag was not replaced. Dried off with a hand towel. Suggestion: simply stock the room with an adequate number of towels for the number of guests. b) Bus service: they do not take reservations for the bus to the airport. We came downstairs at 7:45 for a roughly 8:00 AM bus. There were over 40 people waiting for the same bus (I counted) and the bus does not hold as many as was there. (These people are both hotel guests and park and ride patrons.) Ended up taking a taxi instead of their bus. Suggestion: make reservations then at least your customers will understand the need for alternate transportation. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very disappointing"
I requested wake up calls. None came. We almost missed plane. Airport shuttle comes "unscheduled" so we waited the whole 20 minutes extra at 4:30 AM. The food was not up to even hotel-food par. There was one towel set in a room for two people (in both rooms). When I asked, she said there was an extra towel in the drawer. Just one. No washcloth, no handtowel. […] I thought Bewleys was a respected name in Irish hotels. I would never stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We were two in a room but, we had to keep asking for towels because we only had towels for one. The bath towels were way to small and I think because they are so small you should leave more. Our toilet smelled of urine and could use some bleach. We did enjoy the breakfast and the chief was such a nice person. The beds were very comfortable and clean […] and the room itself was clean. I have to say that some of the staff at the check in counter were not very friendly. Dont think I would stay in your hotel if we make another visit. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Bewleys airport hotel"
There was no soap or washcloths, but the room was a decent size and decently appointed. The hotel was understaffed and they had no one to take your luggage to your room. We had to change rooms because of the noise from the freeway and the hotel is actually quite a long way from the airport.Genuine Expedia guest review
I thought there was supposed to be air conditioning in each room but there was not. My room was stuffy and hot and could not sleep well...thank goodness was only there the one night. The TV did not work. The wireless did not work. The only redeeming quality was the ice machine on my floor but I had nothing to put ice in and had to go down to the bar. "Limited services, charges for every little thing"
I only used this hotel for one night as a stop-over but it was not a positive experience. Nothing was included - even individual soap and conditioner. Everything was overpriced too and there was no alternative place to go. The airport shuttle smelled of diesel and was overheating - so they had the heat on full blast to cool it. The main lobby has many […] old leather chairs and tables and is used by many people as a place to sit until their planes leave. I was never more grateful than when my tour arrived and I could check out. The room was acceptable, fairly clean, but no air conditioning - and Dublin can be humid and hot. There are no bell hops - people are expected to carry their own bags. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Only 10 Mins with free shuttle"
Queue at check in was slow but everything else was quite enjoyable. Free shuttle was in good time and brought us too and from the airport in 10 mins, turning up every 20 mins. OllieGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wouldn't go back"
The location of this hotel and frequent shuttles to and from the airport are convenient enough, and it is well priced. However, our stay there was less than ideal. When we arrived, there was a large (and loud) party going on at the hotel. The man checking us in had to leave to break up an imminent fist fight just to the right of the check-in counter […] between some rowdy and clearly intoxicated guests. The noise from the party could be heard in our room, on the second floor. The room seemed clean enough, but then we discovered a used condom in the cabinet while looking for a second towel (there was only one left in the bathroom). The next morning, we tried the breakfast, and it was truly sub-par. There are plenty of other good airport hotel options. Don't stay here. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Bewley's Hotel Dublin Airport"
The Bewley's Hotel is very conveniently located near the airport with free airport shuttle service. The room was clean when we moved in, and was comfortable with in-room coffee maker. The shower was invigorating. The service, however, was exceptionally POOR. The room was not cleaned well or vacuumed on a daily basis, although the bed was made each day. […] Requesting service with late evening/night staff was impossible. To get extra cream/sugar delivered typically took repeated calling and a personal trip to the reception desk to get it sent to room. The reception clerk will repeatedly say each time "It is on the way", but no delivery would be made. On checkout day, the requested early morning alarm never rang! The WORST service of any hotels we have stayed in. Air conditioning kept turning OFF after an hour's operation, and would not come on again until manually turned ON, all night long. We should have reported it to the front desk, but we weren't sure they would do anything. One of the busiest hotels I have stayed in. On the checkout day, there was a problem with the shuttle bus accumulating passengers in long lines for 30 extra minutes. Recommended only for a one night stay, don't ask for service, and bring your own alarm clock you can trust! Overall, VERY DISAPPOINTING experience. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"don't recommend"
Horrible service- no one answers phone takes forever to check in- takes forever to get service in restaurant- just basics in room more like howard johnsons would definitely try something differentGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very dissapointed"
The window was left open when we got there, so it was cold in the room, and the heater was switched off at the outlet, so with no directions it took forever to figure out how to turn it on. The bed has no top sheet, so there was just a single blanket. The shower consistently and frequently went from way to cold to way to hot. There was a party going […] on in one of the conference rooms, which we heard quite well from three floors up, despite their "highly sound proof rooms", which lasted until about 1:30am and we had to be up by 4 to catch our flight. The front desk never answered the phone in less than about 10 rings. The food in the restaurant was not that good considering the prices. The place isn't worth it, unless you're desperate, and then make sure you stay in a room on the top floors so you won't be stuck listening to the inevitable party downstairs. "Bewley's Airport Hotel in Dublin"
This hotel was very difficult to access from the highway - bring precise directions with you or you will get off at the wrong exit and have to circle around again. "Respite for weary travelers."
The Bewley Hotel was an unexpected pleasure. We booked it as the best place to spend our last night in Ireland, because of it's proximity to the airport, and it's 24/7 airport shuttle. What we got was a clean, modern facility, with helpful staff, great lounge and restaurant area, and a great room.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Not impressed!"
A big, charmless hotel. You have to pay for on-site parking. The menu was very poor. You pay extra for breakfast and I wish we had saved our money. It was cold, and tinned mushrooms-yuck! The rooms were ok. They were at least clean. Only one pillow though, and only one hand towel and one bath towel. There were two of us! We did, however, find another […] bath towel in a drawer- big deal! We had a fine view from our window of the busy road, as well as the rubbish collection area of the hotel. All-in-all, I would not recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We were supposed to be in a none smoking room with our family & it stunk of smoke had to leave windows open. The Hotel could be really nice but is tired looking .Can't fault the friendly staff though. Food way over priced & average . Went into dining room in morning got coffee from machine & was cold . TV picture was terrible so turned that off . Nowhere […] as good as the Newlands Cross Hotel . Internet service you pay 1 euro for 8 mins & broadband is rubbish you can't get airline ticket printed in 10 mins as it is very slow . Reception were helpful though . The place needs revamping . Sending two obviously elderly customers with heavy luggage to the extreme end (from the lift end) of a corridor shows little concern for customers, particularly when they see other customers moving into rooms near the lift many hours laterGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was ok and staff friendly but felt the hotel was to say the least dis-organised. Hard to get anything to eat eithe rin the restaurant for which there was a waiting time on outside in the bar as nowhere to sit. "Poor customer service"
The room and the hotel were good, it was the staff at the check in desk that made this hotel one I would not use again. The hotel was extremely busy and it took approx 20 minutes to queue to check in. The problem is that you can only unload for 20 minutes before they start charging for parking. As I was queuing, my husband was unloading and thus in […] charge of the keys and the parking ticket. When I did finally check in, I did not have the ticket for the receptionist to validate and was told if I wanted to have the ticket validated, I would have to stand in the 20 minute queue again. Not acceptable. Especially when you are holding a baby who needs changing and trying to keep track of a four year old who is not feeling well. We ended up paying to park while checking in even though the car was only there for approx 30 minutes before being returned to the car rental depot. Oh, and we had to park illegally as there wasn't actually anywhere to park as again....very busy. This of course was also very stressful as we were worried we would get towed while trying to check in! And of course there was no one there in the car park to assist or assure us that we would be ok. "Don't waste your time..."
I needed a hotel to stay in Dublin just before flying out the next morning. We chose Bewleys because it was so close to the airport on Hotels.com, but it was very confusing on how to get there. Our Garmin didn't even recognize the address. Once we arrived, the staff was incredibly rude and didn't even explain the airport shuttle system to me, I had […] to overhear it from the next guest. Also - there is no where for taxis to park so you have to wait for the front desk to call one if you want to head into the city, which they were reluctant to do at all. The rooms seemed decent enough until I pulled back the comforter to find three long black hairs in my bed (obviously not mine as I'm blonde). The TV would not turn on at all, and when I went to grab an extra towel the next day after my shower, it was in a plastic bag, still damp and smelled of mildew. The hotel room was incredibly hot despite the fact that I had the window open and it was 65 degrees outside, and the pillows were so hard that I had a kink in my next the next day. The next morning, the cleaning staff walked into my room at 7:30 am without even knocking! Don't waste your money here - go to the Radisson across from the airport if you need to be close. Hotel was very clean and foyer area is nice to relax in and have a drink/meal.However your website states that internet access is provided. There was no access in the room whatsoever, only in the foyer which is far from satisfactory.I was assured that a connection lead would be sent to my room which never happened.Went to reception and was informed that […] housekeeping could not locate one...-rediculous!.Also room extremely hot and couldn't get to sleep.Open window didn't help as motorway noise awful and constant. Our room was directly above the delivery yard. The Irish Pride delivery van rolled during the night with loud music blaring from the van for the duration of the delivery. This is not on and should be dealt with.I would be very reluctant to stay with you again due to the above.I would appreciate a reply.Thank You.Maire Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Bad experience"
Considering Bewleys is an airport hotel and obviously people are arriving at all all hours of the day and night, the check in time of 2pm is totally unhelpful (I arrived at 11am). The fact I was unable to access the room until then, by which time I was already in Dublin city and away for the day, was completely unsatisfactory. I cannot believe that […] no rooms were available considering that international travellers often leave early morning (I had left the hotel by 7.45am). I won't be repeating the experience. "Overnighter at Bewleys Airport Hotel Dublin"
It was a miserable evening when we arrived, and I was surprised to see how large the reception and adjoining area was. My first impression was that it wasn't very warm there, and this was confirmed for me when we came down to eat later. Our room towards the end of a long corridor was so cold. We switched on the radiator in the bedroom, but it took ages […] to reach an acceptable temperature. The room was basic, but very clean, which was ok considering the reasonable room rate. Breakfast was fine, and the porridge was very good. Staff at check-in were business-like but not very friendly. There was a pleasant young man at reception in the morning when we were checking out, who apologised for the lack of heat in the room and stated we should have drawn it to their attention (which of course we should have) as they had centrally a faster method of putting the heat on.
