Leafy Ballsbridge is a quiet and exclusive residential area, a 20-30 minute walk into town (served by frequent buses). The Grand Canal flows through it, and while much of this waterway is less than grand, there is a pleasant stretch near the Richmond Street bridge with canal-side pubs. "Super close to the Aviva"

"Great staff, room disappointed"

Stayed there to go see a concert in the O2. I thought it would be closer but it's perfect if there's something on in the Aviva. The hotel itself was wonderful. "Quiet and central location"
I visited a few friends in Dublin and stayed at Sandymount Hotel during these few days. Overall the visit was very enjoyable. It's only a few minutes walk from the closest DART station (Lansdowne Road) and if you're catching a match at the Aviva Stadium then it's your next door neighbour. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and had no problems […] answering any question I had. Good quality rooms as well. The only problem I had was that the floor creaked in the room and the hallways, and you could hear people walking past the room. That was a nuisance when you're trying to sleep. Stayed one night to go to Ireland v France in the rugby. What a convenient location, 300 yards from Aviva! Hotel as you would expect was very busy. We probably had the last room at the inn which was quite small but did the job. Hotel coped very well with the crowds on the day. "Highly Recommended"
The reception staff were friendly, welcoming and very efficient. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a delicious meal in the bar - possibly the best home made burger and chips I've ever had. This hotel obviously prides itself on well trained, friendly staff as those who served us in the bar (particularly a young girl named […] T....) were at least as efficient and friendly as those at reception. Normally I would choose a 4 star hotel but this stay has made me rethink my attitude.
