We had a great time with our stay. The staff was extremely helpful with bus routes and how to get around town. We enjoyed having breakfast in the morning at the hotel and planning our day. The only thing was the airport transportation buses drop off (and pick up) close to the entrance of Trinity College, and it is a good 6 or 7 blocks (with luggage […] and kids, it could be rough). The location was just a bit out of the way from the center of the city. the pillows were very hard, other than that it was a nice stay and a clean hotel located in more of a residential/business area.

Stayed at the Pearse for a week while I attended a conference at Trinity College. It is a 15 minute walk from downtown with easy access to a number of pubs. The room was spacious and clean. The front desk folks were helpful. I travel a lot and I don't need to live in the lap of luxury when I am on the road. The Pearse served all of my needs.

Quite nice staff. Quiet restaurant/bar in the evening. Breakfast normal array of choices. No television to speak of the movie system is extremely outdated so it's hard to watch a movie in the room. I stayed five nights at the Pearse. The room was always clean, with a coffee and tea pot, hair dryer, iron and ironing board in the room. There is a convenience store next door and a nice restaurant attached where you can both get breakfast and have drinks at night while watching the soccer game. The neighborhood itself was quiet but a bit run down; some might feel uncomfortable walking it at night. showere temps was the worst part, could never get the water to stay on the temp you set it at. otherwise, our stay was terrific, staff were great, rooms a bit small but clean and fresh, loved the bar and bartender was terrific.

I stayed at The Pearse from 04-11 to 09-11-11. I found the hotel to be exactly what I wanted, a clean, solid value. The room was clean, bed comfortable, and the Bar/Brassire was nice. I am a bigger guy and the shower was nice size and great pressure. Everything worked! The is a handy little market with an ATM just West of the hotel on the same block. The Internet for the week wasa resonable fee and fast. Breakfast was plentiful and reasonable, but some more fruit choices would be nice. The toilet did not flush well in my room and I think it is a toilet design issue. The Hotel is no longer with Holiday Inn. If you want the "Temple Bar Treatment" this might be too far for you. I suspect that most of the reviews here are from a time when this was a Holiday Inn hotel, and I believe that it is now under new management. For the rate I paid I was very satisfied with the stay, and my only complaint is that the water-flow in the shower was awful (it varied from boiling to frigid without notice, and the pressure at times dropped […] to a trickle). The room was clean, the hotel was quiet, the location is just fine if you don't mind a 5-10 minute walk to the main tourism area of the city. The postings that I read concerning the property being dilapidated or deteriorating are unfounded in my opinion. Read more

Parking is extra charge in the underground garage, but side street parking is cheap if your lucky to find it. The hotel is clean, but dated. Very affordable and the breakfast was outstanding. Overall I'd give it high value for the money.

However the receptionist was rude to a customer on the phone when they were inquiring about prices and just hung up on them. not a good first impression on the hotel. Hotel was very convenient to grand canal theatre area and room was clean and tidy, although very worn in places e.g. rotting door frame (room 247). Breakfast was plentiful and very nice. However, we had a meal in the restaurant which wasn't great, particularly the garlic mushrooms. Staff were friendly and check-in was efficient.

I stayed here with my friend . Check in was at 3pm , we arrived at 11am and were able to check in to our room straight away . We had a double bed each ! The staff were all very friendly and extremely welcoming and accommodating . Hotel was clean and only a short walk from the city centre . I would most definitely stay there again .

The rooms are nice and spacious and the hotel is in a perfect location only minutes to everywhere and a shop 10seconds from the front door, and smoking rooms as an option which is always good and the room when we got there didnt smell of smoke or anything it was a fresh clean room. Couldn't fault the hotel itself, clean, affordable, close to town, friendly staff. The disaster lay in the parking at the hotel which is shared with others, the allocated spaces for the hotel are marked with a white dot which wasn't clearly communicated to us at the time. We had our phone on silent mode as we were attending a wedding at a nearby church, […] the hotel tried in vain to reach us to move our car . We had 20 mins to move our car but didn't get the message from the hotel on time. We were clamped and it cost us €120 to release it. We are trying to appeal. Very expensive wedding!! Read more

I incorrectly booked the wrong date but the hotel and Hotels.com were very helpful and sorted me out. Hotel is very central and has a nice elevated bar with a view onto the city landscape. Room was large and confortable. Also, the vending machine is reasonably priced which is a nice change. VG all round.

We was welcomed by a really nice gentleman on reception who was very friendly and helpful. The room was large, with a king sized bed and two seperate seats in fromt of a table. There was the usual tea/coffee facilities and also a hairdryer and Iron/ironing board, which was useful. The only downside for me was the bathroom, it needed re-grouting, the […] black around the tiles spoilt it slightly, however, the room was nice and clean. The location was ok, took about 15 mins to walk to the Temple Bar area and the town, as well as the train station. However, the vicinity was a little scruffy, despite being so close to the Quay area. Despite this, If I was to return to Dublin, I would consider this hotel because of the large rooms and friendliness of the staff. Read more

Good value hotel for overnight stay in Dublin. Conveniently located close to city center. Parking was an issue as its not obvious where it is in relation to the hotel, if you intend staying and are driving request detailed instruction on where to find the attached car park in advance.

Hotel was located in a good spot for our needs and having two double beds in the room was great for a family with taller children and older than 12! All of the staff were friendly and helpful from the receptionists to the housekeepers and the bar staff. Hotel is a bit tired - bedrooms could do with a bit of upgrading but were clean and fine. The road […] at the front is really noisy; really, really noisy - 24/7 - which is a problem when the weather is warm - leave the window open and its noisy, close it and its too warm!
