I was given a room on the 6th floor which is not serviced by an elevator. I had to get off on the 5th floor (and there was a consistently bad food smell every time I got off the elevator) then walk down a long hallway, up a flight of stairs and down another long hallway to get to the room. The room was small and there were lots of strange noises that […] made it very difficult to sleep. It sounded like there were garbage trucks loading and unloading all night long right outside the building. Exceptional service at this establishment. My husband and I arrived at 6am the day of our check in and we're given a room even though we were hours before our check in time. The rooms are small but well kept, trendy, comfortable and quiet. They are perfect for two people. The location is excellent. The room was quite small for the room price. We could not believe price for breakfast. You could not get choices off a menu without paying the full 22 dollars and then an additional 5 for french toast for example. We did not realize that so the morning we did get breakfast at the hotel the coffee and one small pancake cost […] me $27 euro. With the exchange rate that made it about 33 dollars!!!!!!!!! Ridiculous. We are light eaters so forget the hotel. When we asked where we could get a coffee on Saturday morning they could not suggest anywhere. There was a great coffee shop across the street! This was my fourth stay at the hotel and was very satisfied. The location of the hotel makes it a good base to explore Dublin. If you are in Dublin for business it is a short distance to the IFSC and the new business area by the river. Great breakfast buffet. Great service. Small details can be easily improved; one would be the condition of the bed […] mattress, which was extremely damaged on the side where the telephone is, which is where most people sit on. Nice sheets, nice pillows, nice towels, not many TV channels on the TV. Had to log-in to WiFi every time I took a short break, which made it very annoying. But in general, highly recommended hotel. This was by far the best hotel where I've ever stayed. It's beautiful, luxurious and SO comfortable. The staff are superb. The turn-down service was great, especially when the A/C was turned on for us (on one of Dublin's hottest March days on record). I would love to live the lifestyle I experienced during my two days at the Fitzwilliam Hotel. The […] location, just across from St. Stephens Green, was the best. The only concern I have is that when we checked in we were told that all items in the minibar, except water, would be charged to us. Therefore, the only items we consumed were the bottles of water. We also stored our juice in the mini-bar refrigerator. When we checked out, we had been charged for water, which we were told at check-in would be complimentary. We were also told that there was a charge anytime the mini-bar was open longer than three seconds. I was told the charges would not be charged to my credit card but as I have not yet received my credit card bill I cannot be sure. I am also troubled by the fact that I was assessed a charge of one euro for a charitable donation of which I had not been informed. I am certainly hoping the charge will not appear in my credit card bill. Read more

Stayed at the Fitzwilliam for two nights in Dublin in March. On a leisurely holiday, and first time to Dublin. It's in a great, very centrally located spot right across the street from St. Stephen's Green. It's steps from the shops in Grafton Street, and easily walkable to most major sites. The rooms were lovely -- very clean and comfortable, and with […] modern decor and fixtures. Great bathroom, free wifi, plentiful storage space, turndown service (with chocolates) -- it was top-notch. I would happily stay there again, with one change in my itinerary. I would not eat breakfast in the hotel's restaurant - Citrine - again. For 22 euro per person, it's terribly overpriced (about the cost of a nice dinner in town). The service was nearly non-existent and the hot buffet food, eggs in particular, were quite tired after sitting out in the warmers. Though we arrived toward the end of breakfast service, I would have expected more from a hotel of this caliber (and the cost!). So, grab breakfast elsewhere and have a delightful stay at the Fitzwilliam. Read more

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice. We ate dinner there the first night and it was incredible. A two minute walk from the hotel and we were at shopping and bus locations that got us anywhere in the city. Many of the sites were within walking distance.

My husband and I felt right at home at the Fitzwilliam. Service was excellent, the rooms were great with every amenity. We loved the location right across from Trinity College and just a few steps away from great shopping on Grafton Street. My husband and I checked in and were surprised that the hotel had arranged a surprise gift because we were on our honeymoon; fresh figs, strawberries, and brownies. We had recurring interaction with Joanna at the front desk and she remembered us everytime. One night our key didn't work and she came up with us to sort it out- great offer, especially […] since the new key didn't work either. She actually ran in high-heels to get us the master; what a gem! When we looked to stash our bags in order to grab lunch before going to the airport, Sean was happy to help. When we asked him where the business center was to print our boarding passes, he printed them off right there for us at the concierge desk! Great hotel, great staff....accomodated early check in and gave us a room upgrade. Only negative comment was washer machine type noise during the night.
