Leafy Ballsbridge is a quiet and exclusive residential area, a 20-30 minute walk into town (served by frequent buses). The Grand Canal flows through it, and while much of this waterway is less than grand, there is a pleasant stretch near the Richmond Street bridge with canal-side pubs. George Bernard Shaw’s birthplace is a popular neighbouring attraction.

A good hotel if using it as a base of operation for sightseeing etc. An easy 25 minute walk from Stephen's Green with plenty of spots in between for eating and/or drinking. All the staff was very helpful. The upgrade rates were very cheap and the rooms were very nice. The bus stop to take you to the middle of the city is right outside the hotel and is only about a 10-15 minute bus ride. "A little walk goes a long way"
Had a really enjoyable visit to Dublin. The hotel is perfect if you like walking which suited us. We walked into the city centre in half an hour and walked from the O2 arena in 35 mins. Best value for money in Dublin.We were upgraded to a large towers room with a bed that would fit 4 people. Hotel facilities downstairs were recently upgrade so all feels clean & new. Have stayed here many times before. This time they put us into the Towers part of the hotel and it was a much bigger room with walk in wardrobe, larger bathroom and 2 beds.
