"Carlton Hotel Tralee - Not for the Busy Traveller"
While happy with the overall layout and cleanliness of the hotel (and I must admit the bed was wonderfully comfortable) we were disappointed in two things: The first gripe is small but smacked of lack of attention to detail: even though the room was booked for two people there was only one bath robe and there was no shower cap for a lady traveller […] which in this case was very inconvenient. The more serious gripe was the shocking delays in breakfast service. I have never experienced as poor a service in any hotel in any country. Because of demand food had run out - there were no juices, there were queues at the hot plates for trays that were empty, what food that was left was tepid, the staff seemed either overwhelmed or uninterested in resolving the issues and clearly the kitchen team were massively under resourced.
