The Radisson blu hotel in co. cork was a fabulous hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times.The room that we stayed in was the ocean themed room which we found to be extremely calming , relaxing and very spacious and with all the amenities that the room had to offer made it a very enjoyable stay so much so that just sitting in the […] room was a very pleasant experience The pool was fantastic with all its features, made for a very enjoyable and relaxing time while there. The bar was pleasant and the food in the bar was lovely,Breakfast was so well laid out the choices were many and the food great. Close to the hotel is cork city 10 mins drive also Fota wildlife park 15 mins, then you had Middleton, Youghal and other towns all within a reasonable driving distance.All in all our stay in the Radisson was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience and would not hesitate in returning thereany time,I would highly recomend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious stay in a hotel, 10 out of 10. We stayed overnight and booked in on a room only offer. The room was fine, it was comfortable and had everything we needed, but the view of the car park wasn't ideal! Given the location (in a retail park off the motorway) it was about the best we could expect! The pool was the best feature of this hotel - it had Jacuzzi jets in the form of waterfalls, […] underwater seats and beds all around the pool. The pool was very family-friendly as kids could use these features and were not confined to a small pool in the corner. And the pool water was exceptionally warm. Bonus! The choice of food was a bit of a let down - either suffer the noise and mayhem of the bar with a basic menu or an over-priced menu in the restaurant. We opted to head into Cork city (which is a 10min drive away). The front of house staff were very friendly and the hotel was typical Radisson standard - does what it says on the tin. Read more

Stayed with hubby and young daughter, requested level access shower, got everything we asked for and great friendly staff in all areas, bar, front desk etc. Food in hotel bar a little pricy but tasty. Hotel was great for the older boys aged 15 and 16. The leisure centre and gym was excellent. It would have been lovely to have had a games room or playroom for the younger 9 year old. However the receptionist supplied us with Monopoly which kept her happy for a while. The outside playground was minimal. Hotel situated in a commercial/industrial estate […] which disappointed. There was a wedding in the hotel on the night we stayed. We were booked into a room overlooking an inner courtyard and the ballroom. It was extremely noisy. No one could possibly sleep with the level of noise. For a modern hotel it is a bit surprising that it was designed this way. On that side of the hotel the bedrooms are not fit for use during wedding […] functions. Also there is no air conditioning so with the windows open it is even worse. Eventually we could stick it no longer and when we phoned reception the staff could not have been more helpful. They located a room on the other side of the hotel and we moved, finally getting some sleep at 1 a.m. Trouble with the second room, it is beside the motorway, more noise! Why they gave us the first room is a bit of a mystery, they should be kept for wedding guests. If you book in make sure you specify a quiet room! Read more

The hotel is modern and well maintained. Rooms were spacious, clean and there was very little noise intruding from other rooms which is often a problem in other hotels. Don't know if this was due to low occupancy in the hotel or room construction!! Food in the hotel was very good although I felt the menu was a bit limited in it 's variety. Breakfast […] was buffet style with everything from full Irish to continental. The Swimming Pool and Spa area were good. Kids enjoyed pool as it has a number of jucuzzi areas and water features. However it is also used by non residents of the hotel and I got the impression that they were not enamoured with kids in the pool getting in the way of the unofficial swimming lane. The location of the hotel is about a 10 minute drive to Cork City centre, less than five minutes to the Jack Lynch Tunnel and the South Ring Road and 10 minutes from Midleton and Cobh. So it is an excellent location if you wish to explore the wider Cork area. The hotel itself is located in an industrial estate which is not very appealing, however the grounds of the hotel are wooded and well maintained. There are two nice restaraunts in nearby Glounthaune which is a five minute drive from hotel. Otherwise there is not much else around (unless you like KFC or Piazza Hut). Overall it is a good hotel and I would recommend it if you are looking for a hotel away from the city centre. Read more

Excellent hotel for people travelling with children. It's not fancy or fussy but all the services one might expect from a 4 star are provided. Breakfast was perfect anf b/fast staff very nice. Food generally good and not expensive. Great location for day trips to Kinsale and Fota Island.
