Clarion Hotel Cork

We stayed one night to catch up with a cruise ship which we'd missed due to air delays. We arrived, ate a meal and left the next morning so we spent very little time there. The room was very nice, except the mattress was too hard for us, the staff was excellent, and the one meal we had was fine. It was a good choice for a one night emergency stop.

The Clarion's Cork staff was extraordinarily helpful with everything from check-in options (gave us an apartment for 4 of us to share), to parking information, assistance with restaurant reservations and directions. While the facility's location and decor were very nice, the staff is what makes this place special!

Staff wasn't as friendly as we encountered throughout the rest of Ireland. We chose Cork as it was convenient for touristy day trips -- but it is a tired looking and rather depressing city. This was the best hotel we stayed in on our trip. Great view and location, always a taxi out front and the bus station is one block away. In room wifi and a/c was a big plus. When I return to Cork I will only stay here.

Really well done, clean, up-to-date hotel with great restaurants in the lobby. They have free kids activities every night of the week except Sunday. Really well done. Parking is tricky here so get instructions to parking deck at front desk when you check in (just leave car with hazards on up front)

Described as latest Top end hotel in Cork by the tour guides, Clarion actually offers excellent value for money. Located close to the main shopping area and Bus station. Rooms are specious, clean and very functional. I will easily stay here again.

We were very happy with our stay at the Clarion in Cork. It was an easy hotel to find, nice to have onsite parking, and the hotel is close to the central part of Cork. The room was quiet, clean and spacious. We would definitely stay here again.

Tile was broken in the bathroom, and most of the floor grouting was missing, stains on the inside bathroom door, hairs on the floor.But a great location, got an internal room as requested.
